Non-dialogue characters, in Action, not recognized, especially when syncing to Schedule

Hello Staff and Community,
I really do like many of the automation features of Story. The one concern I have is about Syncing the script to the Schedule. Were I to have a scene that only includes Actions with the mention of a character (or two, or three), when syncing with a schedule, it doesn't show up as having characters in that specific scene. This is a real and true headache for those producers who need to know which characters appear in each scene, precisely the thing for which a schedule is desired.
Yes, you do have the option of choosing to deselect a scene, or in a more advanced setting, deciding not to update the Characters, but wouldn't an option whereby you can LOCK the scene from syncing be more beneficial?
And in order to do that, each scene would need to be identified with an ID (not Scene Number), since adding additional scenes in a revision would then KNOCK OUT the Scene Number and screw everything up again.
This item was addressed in 2010 and I could find no more information on it via searches. If there is currently a way to do what I am speaking of, please let me know. Otherwise, this should be a pretty high priority on the Story team, since it affects every, single user of the program somewhere along the lines. A LOCK feature would be the best option and should, I would think, be rather easy to implement.

Here is another thought that might help, and not only for Characters, but for things like Props and so forth...
Similar to Background Color (the tool that will highlight the background color to whatever you would like), why not be able to make addendums that the software will recognize as being Character, Prop, Extras, Special FX, etc., easily identified by the specific color, like RED for a non-dialog Action character, or GREEN for a Prop. (Or better yet, make it all user-definable!) So, instead of locking the scene, it would only be something seen inside Story that could be moved around (if another scene is written before it, thus changing the Scene Number), and then syncing would be able to notice this addendum and add it (correctly) to the schedule.
So basically the user would be highlighting the important parts of their script. Important enough to be translated to the schedule, that is.
