Non display of Repeater Tag in browser outside weblogic

Hi.
I've got an app that uses a repeater tag to display a list/matrix of data. When
I run it using the weblogic browser, it works fine. But as soon as I use IE or
Netscape, for some reason, the repeater tag no longer gets displayed. All the
labels and buttons outside the tag is fine, but everything inside the tag is gone.
I've tried everything I could think of but without any success. I've got a feeling
that its got something to do with the data I return, or rather accessing the database.
Any help would really appreciated.
Thanx
Elbert

Never mind. I'm just talking to myself this morning. Sticking
the repeater in a canvas tag solved the problem

  • Firefox 4 displays closing CDATA tag ]] on the screen for object tag

    With the recent Firefox 4 version. I am facing following problems with the website I am developing:
    1. For svg objects inside html page with Firefox 4 it now displays closing CDATA tag on the screen.
    It only displays ]]> on the screen.
    I have object specified using

    2. When the svg is added using div tags it doesn't display on the screen if the width is more than browser width. It was working on Firefox 3.6 but have stopped working with 4. We had a overflow specified with scrolling effect on the screen if user wants to view next section.

  • PDF locking when displaying it in iFrame in browser

    Hi guys,
    I have a webpage written in ASP.NET which displays a PDF in the browser using an iFrame. Relevant ASPX code is below:
    <iframe id="ifrmPDF" src='<%=sFile %>'></iframe>
    Where the variable sFile is the path to the PDF that I am displaying.
    But for some reason displaying the PDF in this way is having the effect of locking the file so it cannot be updated on the server while somebody is viewing it. I was under the impression that when you view a PDF in a browser a copy was downloaded to the local machine and it was that which was being viewed but this doesn't appear to be the case.
    Can anyone tell me of another way to display a PDF in a browser which will allow the file to be overwritten in the background?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you need anymore info then please let me know.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    I am trying to create links by using netui-data:repeater tag. But, I am getting all the links in the same line like:
    1 Link#1 2 Link#2 3 Link#3
    Can anyone let me know how can I get each value in a new line. I am adding my code here:
    netui-data:repeaterItem>
    <netui:label value="{container.item.articleID}" defaultValue=" " ></netui:label>
    <netui:anchor href="{container.item.link}" >

    When you drag complex data onto jsp, Repeater wizard pops up, if you select "Next" instead of "Create", you will be prompted with different display options that you can select from like option "list" or "table" from the Data Format options.

    providing next and previous button to the user.
    Can I specify the starting index and the end index in repeater tag so that I

    Tim,
    I had a similar issue and I could not find a way via the start index and end index
    as you would expect.
    However, what you can do is write a method in your JPF and access it via <netui-data:choiceMethod...>
    tag.Disdavntage being the repeater tag would still loop through rthe entire set,
    but would display only what you want.

  • REQ: Repeated tags in m4a songs

    Requesting features for future iTunes updates
    Allow iTunes manage repeated tags from m4a songs for add more than one artist or more than one composer, for example
    M4A format is able to store repeated tags in same file (two or more tags for "Artist", for example) but iTunes isn't able to read this ones. Image a duet. Could be amazing storing two Artist tags, one for each artist and no only one with format "artist1 feat. artist2" or "artist1 & artist2". This become more powerful for composer field. Usually, a song has more than one composer. If one file had various Composer tags, I would be able to search all songs from a composer (where he compose the song alone or with more composers) and I wouldn't **** my mind in itunes searching a messy list with fields like: "composer1/composer2/composer3", "composer1, composer2 & composer3"

    I'm assuming you used some other program to change the id3 tags. If you used itunes, itunes updates its own database with any changes you make. However once you start using itunes, itunes does not work well if you make changes to it's library (any file listed in itunes) outside of the itunes interface. There are some third party tagging programs that are designed to basically notify itunes when they change tags for a file, but most will not, causing itunes to lose track of the file, and its info. Itunes does not actively scan your library for any changes you make.

  • Using WEB Output HTML Gallery and uploading using ftp upload the HTML page views correctly but images only display the alt tag?

    Using WEB Output HTML Gallery and uploading using ftp upload the HTML page views correctly but images only display the alt tag in the browser window?

    After a little investigation, I discovered that PNGs also do not render correctly in IE7 in similar circumstances.
    I ended up using Levels in Photoshop to bring the output blacks up to "5", saved the images as PNGs, modified the HTML from .jpg to .png, and that seems to have covered up the problem well enough.
    By the way, I did confirm that IE8 beta 2 renders the images correctly.

  • Netui:repeater tags with ranges (aka prev/next)

    Is there some way to implement ranges using the <netui:data-repeater> tags? By
    ranges, I mean where you have 123 items in a list and you only display numbers
    1-50. Clicking NEXT would give you items 51-100. When you're there, clicking PREV
    would take you back to 1-50.
    Sample code would be nice. I think it could be done with the <netui:data-choiceMethod>
    tags, but what I am envisioning would be pretty ugly

    I am still stuck. I have the pager working fine. But, I have a checkbox that needs
    to be bound with the recordid. When the form is submitted after selecting records
    on multilple pages, I want to retrieve the recordids of records that were checked.
    How do I do that? A chckbox datasource can only be a one-value String property
    of a form. But, I need to save an array of ids that were checked. I am so lost.
    Please help.

    Here's an example of implementing a paged repeater.
    Briefly, here's how it works:
    The entire data set (a Product[]) is stored in the JPF. When paging
    through this data set, a
    sliding window (also stored as a Product[]) is used to contain the "current"
    set of products to
    render in the page. The sliding window Product[] is of size PAGE_SIZE.
    When transitioning between
    pages, this window is recalculated for each page.
    Also calculated are the "currentPage", "lastPage", "prevPage", and
    "nextPage", which are used to
    render a pager like this:
    Page <currentPage> of <lastPage> <anchor to prevPage> <anchor to
    nextPage>
    The JPF and JSP are pretty well documented. To run the Page Flow,
    drop the JPF and JSP into a
    directory called "repeaterPaging" in an 8.1 SP2 webapp.
    There are lots of other ways this could be done (and certainly some
    that are more efficient :),
    but hopefully this helps get you started.

    We're talking about adding a pager to the repeater in a future
    release of Workshop, but I don't believe that it will appear inan
    8.1
    service pack.
    Additionally in 8.1, we are not exposing a NetUI tag SDK.
    That being said, it isn't that difficult ot build a pager from
    scratch with the <netu:anchor> / <netui:parameter> tags and a little
    code in a JPF.
    You'd want to have "prev" and "next" actions in the JPF to which
    anchors in the JSP are bound. Then, you can keep track of the "current"
    page in the URL and build the previous and next page indices fromthe
    value that is availble in the request. Finally, create an intermediate
    data structure that contains the data to display in the "current"page
    and bind the repeater to this data structure. You'd build the contents
    depending on whether the prev or next links were clicked. For example,
    if your data set has 100 items in it and you only want to displayitems
    20-29, you'd be on page 2 (depending on whether you start countingat
    0 :) and the intermediate list would contain exactly these items.
    Might sound complicated, but I think this would work out prettywell.
    Hope that helps...

    // Array to hold the entire data set
    private Product[] products = null;
    * Forward to the "page" action to set-up the first page of
    * data to display in index.jsp.
    * @jpf:action
    protected Forward begin()
    return new Forward("page");
    * Change the page of data that is displayed in index.jsp. This
    action
    * is used if paging to either the previous or to the next page.
    * @jpf:action
    protected Forward page()
    Forward f = new Forward("success");
    page(f);
    return f;
    * Implement data set paging. This method uses a simple _page paramater
    on the URL
    * to indicate the correct "page" to display when "Prev" or "Next"
    are clicked
    * in the JSP. The key principle at work here is a sliding window
    of size PAGE_SIZE
    * that is moved forward and backward through the complete dataset.
    This window
    * contains the set of items to render for a single "page" in the
    repeater. As
    * the current page changes, this window (an array of size PAGE_SIZE)
    is
    * reconstructed.
    * The pager consists of three parts:
    * - a simple "Page # of #" label
    * - a previous anchor that is enabled when there is a previouspage
    * - a next anchor that is enabled when there is a next page
    * To render a "page" of data, the _page parameter is convertedfrom
    a String
    * to an int. Using the page integer, the start and end of a window
    into the
    * complete data set is calculated. This windows slides back and
    forth along the
    * data set in PAGE_SIZE increments depending on the value of the
    current page.
    * In this case, with a PAGE_SIZE of 5 and data set size of 17,the
    possible windows
    * are:
    * products[0] -> products[4]
    * products[5] -> products[9]
    * products[10] -> products[14]
    * products[15] -> products[16]
    * Thus, the lastPage value is 4, which is calculated with the Math.ceil(...)
    * call below.
    * Given the start and end of this window, a temporary array ofsize
    PAGE_SIZE
    * is created to hold references to the items that should render
    from the complete
    * data set. This array is passed to the page as a JPF page input
    and is rendered
    * with the <netui-data:repeater/>.
    * Finally, four additional values are made available to the page
    in the request
    * and are used to render "Page # of #" and to provide parameters
    to anchors that
    * will display the previous and next pages:
    * - Page # of # -- the first # is "currentPage" and the second#
    is "lastPage"
    * - prevPage -- the int value of the previous page. If there is
    no previous page,
    * this value is null in the request
    * - nextPage -- the int value of the next page. If there is no
    next page, this value
    * is null in the request.
    * Notes:
    * - In order to have multiple repeaters on a page operating independently,
    * the "_page" parameter would need to change to include a namespace
    that
    * would be used when finding the current page for a data set.
    * - This JPF is implemented with a single "page" action that performs
    both
    * next and previous paging. This could also be implemented with
    "prevPage" and
    * "nextPage" actions that implement additional logic that runs
    on the previous
    * and next transitions.
    * - No real error checking is done to ensure that the PAGE_SIZE
    is greater than 0.
    * Handling errors:
    * - If parsing _page from the request fails to convert to an int,
    a NumberFormatException
    * is shown in the console and the first page will is used.
    * - If the current page value is greater than the number of pages,
    the last page will
    * be displayed.

  • ZenCast -- Using / Displaying IDv3 Meta Tag Informati

    Hi there.
    Was wondering if anyone knows a way to get the Creative Zen Vision: M in the ZenCast folder to display the Meta-Tag information within the audio/video files. It clearly manages to do it in the Music Library, but rather than place my podcasts there, obviously I want them organised to the ZenCast folder section.
    For example... I download "Best of Moyles" BBC Radio podcasts and their file names are something stupid like:
    <EM>bestofmoyles_20060428-0700_40_pc.mp3</EM>
    <EM></EM>
    ...now, when I'm browsing through lots of these in the folder, I have no idea whats on them. In the ZenCast software, it actually shows what the file is about under the 'Item' column.... So basically does anyone know how to get whats in the "Item" colum to display on the player -- 'cos it works in the <EM>Music Library</EM> folder... just not in ZenCast.
    ....Oh, and if anyone is aware of hiding the file-type extensions from the Vision:M ... do let me know

    The problem is that the file stored on the device by ZenCast in the ZenCast folder is not an MP3 with an ID3 tag. It is a Motion JPEG file. I am not sure what meta info is stored in the motion jpeg by ZenCast. The ZVM doesn't show any meta info for any video file (as far as I can tell.
    They need to fix this, there has been a lot of talk in these forums about getting ZenCast to copy over an audio file, and not a Motion JPEG.
    The way I listen to podcasts is I copy them over the device after I download (or get ZenCast to download them), I then edit a playlist called "New Podcasts" and add in my newly download podcasts. Then I can quickly find my new podcasts.
