Non-proctored test - what happens if internet gets disconnected?

Hi,
I am thinking of giving Oracle SQL Certification (1Z0-051) online as the test center is too far from my residence. Moreover, the internet on a given day gets disconnected for 2-5 seconds and then comes back again (sometimes requires a modem restart).
Just wondering, what happens when internet get disconnected while giving the test. Can I resume my test or has $125 gone down the drain?
Thanks for your help.
VJ.

Okay...so what do I do? After this it goes to "stopping services", but says it is unable to do that. Then when I open I-tunes it says that the part of the program where the computer connects to the ipod was not installed correctly. this is soooo frustrating. my brother's had an ipod shuffle for about 2 years so itunes was already installed. i was just trying to update it so my ipod video could be read.

Sorry no but here is some info anyway,
We increased MaxPermSize from 192 to 512
We also increased min and max JVM Heap size to 768 and 2048 respectively.
Since then I think we have not experienced this problem more than once.
We also have one server with the default parameters and it seems to work fine.
I believe that size, and number of simultaneous request/responses have an impact  on this.
We will now install the latest updates and after that decide whether to start logging jvm activities or not.
    Best regards

  • I am due to upgrade my iPhone 3 to iPhone 5. I have icloud which co-ordinates my phone and mac what happens when I get a new phone - I dont want to lose all my contacts, notes, addresses etc. Do I have to disconnect icloud and how? What happens?

I am due to upgrade my iphone 3 to iphone 5.  I have icloud which is co-ordinating my iphone 3 and Mac Pro updating each other.  What happens when I get a new phone - I dont want to lose all my addresses, notes etc.  What is the procedure and step by step action?  The new phone arrives - then what?

When I upgraded from the iPhone 3GS to iPhone 5, I simply did a Backup of my phone using iTunes, plugged in the new iPhone 5 into my Mac, and did a Restore of that backup to put everything back. This procedure is documented around the web. Also, the new phone will ask you for your Apple ID and when you enter it, all your iCloud info will be downloaded to the phone. It worked pretty well for me.

  • What happens if I get a virus on my BootCamp Partition?

I just installed Windows 8 on BootCamp on my MacBook Pro. It runs OS X Mavericks.  I want to know what happens if I get a virus on my Windows Partition. Will it take up more space or harm my Mac?

Java is cross platform, and can be compromised and it makes very little difference which OS is underlying Java.
Is this file system available for information to be stolen by viruses on the Windows side?

what happened to the 'get all' podcast option?

    It's disappeared!
I don't mean to be flippant, but I couldn't think of a more appropriate opening response.
I've had this happen to me in the past, and it has just re-occurred with the latest iTunes update. The solution is to download iTunes again (don't remove or delete your existing iTunes) and then start the installation procedure. One of the two options you see should be a Repair option. Use that and all will be well again.
Your post prompted me to repair my iTunes (for just that reason) and while it was running, I noticed a very brief message about "Get Podcast", in other words,it was the repair being applied. The procedure only took a few minutes and I didn't need to close other programmes or re-start my computer.
By the way, I like your user ID, are you intending that your first born becomes ;adxcjghvldxkjfghbv ll?

Make sure you are using current iTunes on your computer. Click the iTunes Tab at the top of this page. Or try to Restore your iPhone with a different computer.

  • What happens when you  get a "PermGen space null" error?

We have resently installd CF 10 64 bit om three new windows 2008 R2 servers.
One of them keeps generating an error "PermGen Space null" when processing CF script files.
There is nothing special about the scripts resulting in error
we have tried to increse Maxpermsize from 192m to 768m but that had no effect.
the other two servers seems to bee doing fine.
    Any ideas what to do?

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Newbie Question: What happens if I get a new PC?

I just received a black video iPod for Christmas. So far, I've been able to buy, download and watch some TV shows and music from iTunes, and transfer some audio books from CDs and I love it. I have everything on a manual setting.
The problem is my PC is several years old now, is very slow, doesn't have enough memory, and the CD drive sometimes is flakey, so I am planning to replace the PC soon.
However, I've been told that everything on your PC has to match everything on your iPod, or else it'll overwrite everything.
Is this true even in manual mode? I don't want to lose everything I already have when I get my new PC, so do I have to transfer everything from the old to the new? How would I do that, since many of these files are huge and, as I said, the CD drive doesn't always work properly? What do people do if their PC crashes completely and one is no longer able to access the hard drive?
Compaq Notebook   Windows XP   Plan to replace soon

Thank you -- that is helpful.
I guess my question is twofold. First, how do you transfer to a new computer, which you've answered. The other part of the question, which I didn't really ask explicitly, is to do with manual vs. automatic syncing. It sounds like if it's on manual syncing, then one's iPod is not going to be overwritten by iTunes and you do not have to maintain everything on the PC the same as it is on the iPod. Is that correct?
Also, can I download to my iPod from two different PCs? For example, because my CD drive doesn't always work, I'd like to use my boyfriend's PC to upload my CDs. Since I won't be getting my new PC immediately (need to recover from Christmas first), is it possible for me to set up my iTunes account on his PC as well as on my own?
The person I talked to at the Apple Store told me that you can only use your iPod with one computer at a time and that it was something about copyright. Also, if you sync things manually Apple can't help with any support issues.

  • What happened to the Get/Set Date and Time utilities from RT 7.1?

I'd like to use the Get/Set Date and Time utilities that were available in 7.1, but disappeared after that. I see that the 7.1 utilites  call a dll that does not appear to be installed with LabVIEW RT 8 and later. What do I need to do to use the utilites from 7.1 that do not appear in later versions?

In Labview 8.2 and later there are two directories for vi.lib. settime.dll is located in National instruments\Labview 8.2\Targets\NI\RT\ vi.lib
This is the dll you want to use in order to call it use the same Vi as in 7.1 (RT set date and time.vi) and link it to the correct dll.

  • What happens if you get a new iCloud account? Do you loose anything from the old iCloud account?

WE cannot remember our current iClound password or security questions. We tried email reset retrieval, but we aren't getting the email.  If we create a new account, what will we loose?

Your data will still be in iCloud but you will lose access to it if you change accounts and cannot sign into the existing account.  Instead of changing accounts and losing your data, contact the Apple account security team for your country to validate your identity and get assistance resetting the password for the current account: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security.  If your country isn't listed, contact iTunes store support by filling out this form: https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

  • What happened to the Getting Close New Year post and why?

Is someone going to tell us why this post was deleted? Or is it just my system?
    Getting close.
    Then we will know.

    Thanks for everyone's comments.
What is also funny is I was sure this post was also deleted after I posted it as I could not see it. I figured I was being blocked or kicked off the forum. But then this msg shows up 10 hours later when Monkey first replied, and I could post later when I
    tried. Go figure.
But the forum itself was being goofy at the time, as it has been lately.
I just thought I must have broken a rule by putting (c) 2015 Sandia Software in the code I posted as thats what Razerz and I had posted about just before the entire thread disappeared. So I was hoping the deletor would tell us. If that is a no no then we
    should discuss it.
On that topic, I think the latest is that when you post on a public board, you have the copyright from that moment whether you claim it or not. There was a case about it. I am going from memory. And am not a lawyer. But I do know something about it and I
slept in a hotel with a lawyer one time (not the same room Monkey). I started putting (c) in somethings as I thought it might help some people realize they cant turn it in for homework or a PHD. The copyright case came up when someone somewhere posted a quite
good something and then someone else started posted it claiming it was theirs. So the OP sued and won. As I recall. I could be wrong.
However it appears the (c) had nothing to do with it.
Its like what Crazy mentions, we do put a lot of time on here, often just to get a "thats not what I wanted" answer.
I know I have clicked on "helpful" before when I did not mean to so who knows.
Its no big thing to me personally. I just post these things for fun and to show off and if someone does get some value then good. I learned the important bits of code I posted from this forum.
So I am moving on unless someone is really wanting to see the code again (I emailed it to Monkey).
    Thanks,
    Tom
