The initial release of y50 was plauged with hardware and design problems from the start. some below:Fan noisehinge problemmushy keyboardnon responsive touch padbroken plastic covercrackling noise in the caseyellow hue on the screen I would like to know if those problem where fixed in the new 2015 edition for y50. Laptop in question is y50 UHD touch screen (2015). What are the changes from last year's model. Please am not asking spec wise!

Fact is that I am just preparing for the Java 5 Programmer (Beta) Exam and I wonder wether there are any additional changes in Java 5 that I may have missed?
BTW: I tried to look up the rules for infering the actual return type of <T> T chose(T trueExpr, T falseExpr);. Only then I noticed that the latest generics spec in fact consists of a whole new draft of the Java Language Spec, 3rd edition. Nice find. Is that the latest draft available?
I gave up however on understanding the exact semantics of infering types of generic method's type parameters as defined in �15.12 - it's not that improtant after all ;-)

Have video/file specs changed with the latest generation of iPod?

I have just purchased a 120 GB iPod to replace an older 160 GB model. When syncing the new iPod, I received several messages that select videos could not be copied and were 'grayed out' on the iPod sync pages in iTunes. These videos did copy over on the new unit but were resident and used on the older 160 GB model. All my videos are .mpg. Has something changed with file/video specs with the latest generation on iPod Classics?

Ran the diagnostic tool and it found a problem and 2nd time it passed , then in the help menu it has just let me update the software to 1.1.5. saying that is the latest.?
Has just let me name the ipod and is downloading all Music and photos.

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running? It will not influence my answer but will give me information in case I need to get into version specifics to detail my answer further.
Timeline rendering is a preview matter. It does not fix anything, but it is your window of opportunity to catch of problem sooner than latter. If the Timeline rendering indicator displays orange (11 or higher) for the line above the Timeline content, that is the project telling you that you are not getting the best possible preview of the playback of that content in the Edit area monitor. And, every time you edit a file, you have altered the file from the time before. So, if you want to see the best possible for what you now have, you Timeline render. This is particularly helpful when you are dealing with titles, effects, transitions, and non native formats. You cannot turn off the Timeline render indicator system, at least none that I have ever found nor seen reported. You can do selective Timeline rendering by having the gray tabs of the Work Area Bar span only the Timeline segment that you want Timeline rendered.
Consequently, you either ignore the Timeline render indicator system, move on in the project, and take your chances in the outcome or you Timeline render to get your best possible preview if the Timeline render indicator is suggesting that you do so.
I am not approving or disapproving of this project feature, just commenting on the what is.
This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. If you want to have your voice heard at Adobe, you might consider filing an Adobe Feature Request Bug Report Form.

Add On...it is also possible to do Timeline rendering in a project, save close the project, and reopen it to find your previously "green" lined content now "orange", indicating unrendered. Yet the preview files generated originally by Timeline rendering are still existing in their hard drive save location. That is another story for other time.

I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. While there are a few random reports of battery problems, it is no more than I have seen for any other model or any other version of iOS in almost 8 years. Usually problems of rapid battery drain can be traced to bad apps (FaceBook is the worst offender) or corrupt data being synced from iCloud or other sources (gmail, Windows Live, Yahoo, etc).
The simple test is to restore the phone as New. Do not create any email accounts. Do not install any apps. Do not enable FaceTime or iMessage. Do not enable Twitter or any other social networking app. Use it for a day and check the battery usage. You will find that it is working well.

Not sure what you mean by that: is that URL in an image, or is it actual text?
If it is in an image, then you need to extract the image, edit it with something like Photoshop, then add it back to the PDF.
If the URL is actual text, I suggest that you remove the entire URL, then add the corrected link.

I have Photoshop CS3 and CS5 Extended on my computer. CS3 is the default external editing program Lightroom 5 chose to use to open files during initial setup, which causes selections such as "Open as Smart Object or Merge to Panorama" to be grayed out. AnswerThere are a couple of different ways to change your profile photo or thumbnail image on Tagged.
Here's a quick How-to video that shows you how to change your profile photo
If you wish to change your profile photo, follow the instructions listed below:
Hover your mouse over 'More' in the top Nav bar and select Photos.
To use one of your previously uploaded photos as your profile photo, place the cursor over the photo you wish to use, and click the small green “#1” box when it appears
If you wish to use a new image as your profile photo, upload the image to your photo gallery, and then click the small green “#1” box on the photo
If you are viewing one of your photos individually, you can also set it as your profile photo by hovering over it and clicking the same green "#1" button. You may also edit the caption and comment on your photo in this view
You can also change your profile photo by doing the following:
On the Navigation bar click Profile and select the Edit Profile link to the left of your Profile picture.

HELP! I was fooling around with my profile pic and selected and saved a cropped thumbnail. I hate it, and I haven't been able to figure out how to return my thumbnail to just a mini-version of my full profile pic. I've even re-up-loaded a copy of the original photo, with a different file name, but Tagged automatically crops it to the same thumbnail. I found one other way to do it. I just deleted them all out of my iTunes library. Now I can re-import them from Window's My Music file with the original artists' names intact.

Changes are not reflected after editing and saving the chart in th WAD 3.5

I have to display the chart in the report using WAD 3.5. But after creating a chart and then when ihave to make extra changes again and save the same, the changes are not reflected. I can see only the previous changes.
I am working on the chart for the first time. please let me know about the problem. My changes to the chart are not getting reflected.

How r u changing the graph??
Hope you are doing a right click and selecting Edit Chart. Click on Refine.
Then Click on Next till you get the button Complete. After you click on Complete, you save the Template.

Editing timelapses in Lightroom- looks very different if there´s a small change within the frame

We´re having some serious issues with editing timelapses in Lightroom (5.6). What seems to happen over and over again, is that if there´s a small change within the frame (such as a bird flying past, people walking), the editing result varies greatly compared to the previoius frame. It´s easiest to understand what I mean by viewing the examples below.
Here there´s one picture without a boat in the frame, and a few seconds later there´s a boat in a small part of the frame. The camera is set to full manual, and the two JPGs which show the unedited pictures shows that the background and sky in both pictures look exactly the same. However, after pasting the same editing setting on both pictures, the picture with the boat looks vastly different (shadow areas are much darker). It´s the same result weather it is a white boat, a black bird or a person walking in/out of the frame. The picture gets much darker, and leads to some serious flicker in the timelapse which can be impossible to get rid of.
I assume that as there´s a small change in the histogram when the boat enters the frame, this change affects what Lightroom thinks of as shadows/highlights on so on? The example below has some heavy editing applied (shadows up, highlights down, clarity). You can see the settings that have been adjusted in the screenshots below. Does LR change what it considers shadows/highlights based on the histogram, or are there standard settings? If this is the case, it would be much better for timelapsers if Lightroom had standard values for what is considered shadows/highlights, so that two pictures where the only difference is a person walking on the street or not, would look the same with the same editing settings applied. What I find strange if LR works like I´m asking here, why does the picture get darker whether it is a white boat or a black bird changing the histogram slightly. Shouldn´t they then have the opposite effect of each other?
Any ideas what is causing the difference, and what I can do about it? Thanks!

JSC IDE bug or has the spec changed?

I have been fighting this for days now trying to find a way around it, asking questions in Sun's JSC, JSP, JS forums as well as on JavaRanch.
For some reason, the Java Studio Creator IDE does not like the following code:

</jsp:params>It says that: The value of attribute "value" must not contain the '<' character.
The thing is, I have seen this time and time again in examples on various sites, and this is what I have been told to use by users on Javaranch and Sun's JSF forums.
So, is it a spec change, an IDE bug, or are all of those people wrong?
BTW, what I am trying to do (and banging my head into the wall over the past three days now) is to get a value from my backing page bean read into the JSP so I can pass it to an applet. Surely this simple thing is possible isn't it?

Editing Working Days/Non Working Days in the base Project Calendar PWA

Hello Experts,
I am attempting to edit working days/non working days in the base project calendar PWA 13. I receive an error message when I attempt to open the base project schedule.
I click the "edit" button under "Enterprise Calendars" page. The error message states:
"This Project Web App feature requires at least Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0" (using Chrome)
Attempting to Opening PWA in I.E. I receive a different error message stating that I need Project Professional installed on my computer and it cannot find the current project.
I have Admin rights, I have project pro, and Im able to access any project or function using PWA and Project Pro. Can you tell me what I am missing (detailed steps--kinda new to PWA)

If you allow me to jump in, I'd advice you to first open MS Project Pro and then try again.
Also check that your MS Project Pro URL account do not finish with /default.aspx.
Finally ensure that your PWA URL is in the trusted site and eventually add it to the compatibility sites.
