  • Issue in generating Invoice with standard and service material

There is one scenario where along with standard material (i.e Tube bending machine) they charge the customer for the Design and Development of a machine (which is a service). Is it possible to make a standard order with the standard material(with excise and cst/vat) and service material (with service tax only) in one single order?
I have tried with both the material in a single order but while making invoice system is taking only the standard material as in  item category we have mentioned Billing relevance from delivery document. And service material will not have the delivery.
I would be thankful if you could spare some time and check the exact problem.

    Hello,
Yes.. this is a common problem when you use Delivery relevent material and service material in the same order. Why don't you use the service material in differnt order and invoice it? or do you have any restriction like the delivery relevent material and the service material should be billed in one invoice?

  • Exact Difference between Non Stock NLAG and Non Valuated  UNBW Materia type

    Dear All
What is the Exact Difference between Non Stock NLAG and Non Valuated  UNBW Materia type?
I tried creating Purchase Order and found that accouting doc got created at both times and stock was not updated in MMBE for both material types.
    Regards

    Hi,
    non-valuated material (Material Type UNBW):
This type of material is managed on a quantity basis, but not on a value basis. This makes sense for materials of low value, stocks of which nevertheless have to be monitored (for example, operating manuals).
Non-stock material (NLAG) (Material Type NLAG):
Inventory management is not possible for these materials either on a quantity or value basis. For frequently required consumables, the use of this material type nevertheless enables you to store the information required to create
purchasing documents (such as texts and units of measure).
When a material is procured directly for consumption, no material master record is necessary. In connection with consumable materials, you can distinguish between the following cases:
    • Consumable material without material master record
    • Consumable material with material master record that is not subject to
inventory management (on either a quantity or value basis)
    • Consumable material with material master record that is subject to inventory management on a quantity, but not a value, basis

  • Procurement of non stock items without using material master?

    Hi Experts
My company follows third party scenerio with non stock items . The procurement process starts from creating a PR thru network by entering a material master and other purchasing information in component overview. I have come to know from some sources that in case of non stock items we may process the same  by not using the material master and just entering a material description and other purchase related information. So, my questions is:
Is it possible to follow the procurement process for non stock items without using material master? And if it is Yes, then how will i maintain the tax coditions which i generally do for material and vendor combinations.
    Thanks

    Hi Chandra,
It is mostly used in projects where you are directly procuring materials for projects and no need to track the inventory.
But i think it is better to create to material Master and use that Material with item cat L so that at any point of time we can track inventory .

  • Material and Service in a Single Line Req

    Hi
We hv a requirement of material and service in a single line item, Exampls is client ordering some fabrication work to one vendor. It involves both matl and service changre.
For the matl cost we need to calculate VAT and for the service charge we need to calculate service tax.
For ex 1000 is the total amt for a line item. In this 600 to be calaulated for VAT 4% and for balance 400 to be calculated as serv tax 12.5%.
The same is happening in sales and they can be do this. How tro do the same in MM purchasing.

  • How to put material and service in the same order

I want to put the material and service in the same order. How do it input different taxes. and also migo for one material item and other service item.

    HI,
In your scenario create material and service PO using T-code ME21N as follows.
    1) Select PO document type, vendor and PO date
    2) PO first line item account assignment 'N' if project and give input data material code, plant, storage location, qty, rate, delivery date and tax code.
    3) PO second line item account assignment 'K', item category 'D',material short text for service, plant, storage location, material group data's are input given and press enter it will open 'Service Tab' in Item Detail Menu.
    4) In item Detail Menu - Service tab you will give Service no.,qty, gross price for the above  service material activity and service tax code in Invoice TAB and then check PO and SAVE.
    5) After getting PO approved by top management.
    6) PO first line item, you will do MIGO and PO second line item you will do ML81N service entry sheet.
    7) On the vendor bill, you will mention material document number (GRN no.) & Service sheet number and given to accounts dept.. They will book vendor bill and give payment.
Hope, it is useful for you and solve your requirement.

  • Material and Service PO

    Hi
Can material and service PO be linked together?
Can we maintain delivery terms in the PO?
    Regards
    Soumen

    Hi,
Linking Material & Serive PO means  as I understood is
You can create both Material purchase & Service Procurement in the Same PO creation ME21N here in the line item you can maintain the Material and for service maintain the Item category as " D" with Account assignment category
    " A".
Delivery terms can be maintained Item texts or header texts and can be shown in your PO print out .

  • Prevent Hourly Employees from Ordering Non-stocked Materials and Creating Purchase Reqs in Work Order

Our SAP plant maintenance system is configured to create a purchase req when a non-stocked material is ordered. We would like to prevent hourly employees from creating a purchase req or ordering non-stocked materials. Only supervisors should be able to order non-stocked materials and create a purchase req. Is there a way to do this via config or system enhancement?

    Hello Rick,
Clearly there will be 2 ways if not more. One is the Authorization object route and another is Enhancement route. I'm not going to touch the former one. So let's expect answers from other members for that. For the later one, we need to know the answer for the question below:
'Can we distinguish the hourly employees from regular employees by the user-Id or some other means? If yes, how ?'
Once we know this, we need to use some user-exit or enhancement spot of the program SAPLCOIH to capture the event of 'N' in the ItemCategory field of Components tab by such UserIds and trigger an error message.  (Suitable user-exit is not striking my mind, so this might go the implicit enhancement way of Order program SAPLCOIH ).

  • Material and representative material in PCA

    Hello all,
I have an issue concerning material numbers in Profit Center Accounting. My aim is to be able to report on material group (attribute on 0MATERIAL) in BW for both plan and actuals.
In R/3 PCA they plan on field "representative material". Furthermore they post actuals on "material" field.
Extractor 0EC_PCA_1 brings all postings (plan + actuals) to BW, but does not include the "material" field. It only includes the "representative material" field, so I'm missing the possiblity to see the actuals per material number.
Extractor 0EC_PCA_3 brings all actual postings to BW and includes the "material number". However the representative field is not filled (since this is only actuals)
So I get what I need into BW, but in two different extractors (and also on two different aggregation levels).
I somehow need to merge the information of these two extractors. Is it a multi cube I should use here? Or should I rather try to modify 0EC_PCA_1 by adding the material number in an append structure? I actually tried this, but I still couldn't find the new field in the extractor. So I guess this is not possible here and that I have to go for the multi cube solution?
I need to get both the "representative material" and the "material" into info object "0MATERIAL" since the material group is an attribute of that. Could this work if I modify the update rules in cube 0PCA_C01 (this is filled with records from 0EC_PCA_1) so that repr. material points at 0MATERIAL (for plan values) and at the same time use cube 0PCA_C03 (this is filled with records from 0EC_PCA_3) which uses 0MATERIAL as standard (for the actuals).
I'd be extremely thankful for some ideas/help...
    Thanks in advance!
    best regards,
    Fredrik

    Hi Fredrik,
    Some questions:
Is there a 1 on 1 relation between repr. mat. and material?
Do you have PCA_1 as Totals or Line Items?
If you want to report on material group you somewhere have to have a relation between repr. material and mat. group.
Of course you can always map the rep. into 0MATERIAL, but you MD has to be correct too.
And: Adding in PCA extractors is difficult!

  • Is it possible to bill together a FERT material and service item.

    Hi All,
I have request from the user where in they want to bill together a service and fert material.
    Scenario.
    1. Sales order creation with material one FERT and other service ITEM.
    2. Delivery creation for both item. Stock should be reduced for FERT item and system should not ask for stock for service item.
    Single PGI document for both.
3, Single billing for both FERT and service item.
Please confirm is it possible to implement.
    Any guidance is highly welcomed.
    Regards
    Jalaj

    2. Delivery creation for both item. Stock should be reduced for FERT item and system should not ask for stock for service item.
    Single PGI document for both.
Yes delivery will be created for both FERT and Text items and system would reduce the stock to FERT item only not for Text item(TATX) because at the time creating sales order it self for text line item qty would be Zero so at the time of PGI system will not reduce any qty.this is standard only.
Please note for text items we don't maintain the material master and order qty also you can observe is in grey mode.
And coming into billing why you want bill the text item? usually in standard for text items the pricing is not relevant this you can observe in the definition of TATX(VOV7).
And finally you can combine the both the materials in single billing.
    1. Goto VF04 select order related billing and delivery related billing or
    2. by entering vf01 enter the delivery and order and try to save it.
Please check the above and let me know your results.
    thanks,
    Srinu.

  • Combine billing of service material and std. material

    Hi all,
i have a query regarding my client requirement is they are creating a bill manually with two different kind of mat. with two type of taxes i.e. Service tax and vat. example this invoice has 5 line items 1-3 are the chemicals which are deliverable and 4-5 are service items are not relevant for deliver. from 1-3 they will charge Vat% and 4-5 at service tax we have two doc. type one is for chemicals and other one is for services, can i design a new document type to do both in one, not able to understand please help...
    Vivek Sharma

For these kind of business process,
Maintain to 2 diff Item cat for Deliverable(TAN) and service items(TAS) based on there deliverable and service characteristics/functionality.
I Cat determination for same sales doc type, maintain 2 different I Cat Group in material master for Deliverable and service items. Accordingly, your Deliverable and service items will determine there respective I Cat in sales doc.
Now, formulate wisely include both VAT and Service tax condition type accordingly into your pricing procedure.
So, when your maintaining Deliverable material, in Sales:Sales org1 tab, in Tax data section, accordingly maintain TAX Classification for VAT Condition Type as Taxable and service tax condition type TAX Classification as NO TAX (or as according to your tax classification tax condition types). And accordingly, maintain tax classification for your service material.
Thereafter, maintain condition record for VAT & service tax as per requirement.
    Hope it solves your query.
    Thanks & Regards,
    JP

  • Invoice for material and service

    Hi!
I am trying to set up the flow that would include the NORM and DIEN material together. As DIEN is not delivery relevant, it does not copy to my billing.
Is it possible somehow that i have one invoice with those 2 materials?
    Thanks...
    cheers
    Bea

    Hello Bea,
you should run VF01 specifying both the delivery number (where NORM material is present), and sales order number (where DIEN material is present).
In this way the system will bill them togheter (if there is not splitting. In case of splitting there are many threads discussing it).
Of course the item categpories should have the correct billing relevance:
    - relevant for order-related billing in DIEN line
    - relevant for delivery-related billing in NROM line.
    Best regards,
    Ivano.
