Non-US Warranty Repair for E61

I have an E61 phone which needs warranty repair. The phone hangs on the initial Nokia screen. Nokia in the US tells me that the phone can't be repaired in US and suggested I call Europe for suggestions. The phone is only 6 weeks old and was purchased in the US. The E61 intended to be sold in Sweden. Has anyone had a similiar experience and how was it resolved?

That is correct, the warranty is only valid in Europe on European models.
You could try contacting any care point in Europe and ask if they offer a postal returns service. Obviously all shipping costs will be yours to pay.
You will probably have more luck with UK based care points.
Have you tried the following to get it to work?
Boot without memory and sim card in.
Hard reset (note: all data will be lost from phone memory):
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
4. Release when the phone shows the nokia logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.

Good evening everyone...
First off I wanted to say that I'm ****** off and even more frustrated by my MacBook Air, god dammit this machine was expensive and now all I get are problems.
But enough of that, let me get to the point already.
So I made a topic in "Apple Support Communities" about a week ago ? Maybe two - bascially it was about my MacBook Air having this "kernel_task_" problem.
After that I sent this Mac for a warranty repair, of course they have replaced the Logic Board and claimed that it has been repaired - fine, that's amazing right ?
Well, NO.
So I was happy to finally get to use a computer at home (Not to mention that I need a computer at home to do any kind of studying or anything at all) and when I booted it up everything seemed to be fine - fantastic even !.
After launching it I updated my software (05/03/2013, Firmware Update 1.8, Java for OSX 1.0 and iTunes) and started to use it as normal, I was browsing the internet when my Mac turned off just like that while being plugged in into the charger.
I thought to myself - well, bad luck I guess.
I've turned it on again, it went fine for about 30-60 minutes then I turned it off without any problems
RANDOM SHUTDOWN COUNT : 2
After some time I plugged in my power adapter into it and guess what ? It turned on the MacBook by itself without me pressing the power button.
What the ****
So, basically what happens now is :
1. My MacBook Air randomly Shuts down
2. My MacBook Air turns on every time I plug my charger into it while being completely turned off
Any ideas -.- ?

Well, it turned off randomly again and I had some problems turning it on.
That was my first and last Apple computer I have ever bought, call it bad luck but I am dissapointed right now because I would expect a better quality product for that price.
Seems like I will have to build a PC workstation then, at least that will be more reliable.

Need advice for escalating warranty repair

around easter I noticed my daughters 2007 C2D macbook(white) developing hairline cracks in the backcase near three stress points, near the tabs on both sides that hold it off the topcase and in the middle from constant opening of the machine. the local genius said applecare would cover it but she needed it for school so I delayed sending it in. My Bad. She comes home with a chip in the topcase and about 12-14 dead pixels in the display. Sent it off for repair and Apple said the screen showed signs of abuse( not completely out of the question) due to one section that seems to have been "bruised" and is leaking. Unless she or a spurned lover took an icepick to the screen I don't see how she caused over a dozen pixels scattered all over the display to fail but I am not an engineer. The problem is they will not perform the case repair unless I agree to the $800 LCD replacement. The reason being they can't perform a partial repair. The way I heard it is until I replace the LCD at my expense apple in unable to do any warranty repairs and i have 14 Months of Applecare left. My local apple store is closed for renovations or I would go there where they recognize me for advice. Powerbook Medic quotes $250 for screen replacement. should I do that and then resubmit the machine to Apple for case repair? Is there a Phone number for customer service other than tech support I could try to escalate this case with? The only one I see is the Apple Store CS for orders and such. Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?

How do I submit an application for an Express Replacement Service with an Out of Warranty repair?

My iPhone has a cracked screen and a disloged homescreen button but has all of a sudden stopped working for longer than 10 minutes unless plugged into a power source. Shipping to Guam for Warranty Repair

I bought a laptop for my son for Christmas 2013, an HP 2000 Notebook PC, and the hard drive failed and does not start up. I am trying to get it sent for warranty repair through their support chat and apparently, they won't receive or mail to Guam because their system does not accept Guam zip code. No they do not. Sometimes the independent stores have loaners but maybe you have friends or family with a backup Vzw phone? Could add a line and return in wfg period but restocking fee and time used.

Top button stopped working after warranty but I am told on models that qualify they will still repair for free

As it seemingly always works in my life my top button finally got the issue that all iPhones have. The fact it's the well known issue that after approximately a year the top button ceases to work. I was told if your phone qualifies however they would still fix it regardless of warranty expiring for free. They mentioned cracked screens, I don't have a "cracked" screens but there are surely some minor scratches when it would mistakenly be pocketed with my eyes, would this cancel that out? I just want to check as if I can fix it great if not, This is definitely a bothersome issue and I had left google expecting things like this not to occur, I don't know if I could justify staying with a company if I was charged for an issue well known to be due to sub par quality of their top button, I mean if they all break clearly they aren't top quality.

Repairs for overseas-bought HP Envy X2

Hi all, I have a HP Envy X2 tablet/notebook hybrid that needs non-warranty repairs. I dropped it while travelling overseas and the screen has cracked, but the drop also appears to have caused other issues to the CPU/hardware itself (freezing with minimal programmes running, blue screens of death etc). As a result, I now need to get a repair quote for my travel insurance company before they will pay to fix it.
I rang the HP support desk but they told me that since the tablet was purchased in New Zealand (where I'm from) they aren't able to do repairs here. The woman I spoke to suggested calling the NZ support desk to get a repair estimate, but I doubt that's going to be of very much use if they can't get their hands on it to have a look at what's wrong.
Does anybody have a suggestion on the best way to get a reliable quote for repairs? I've looked up some third-party repair companies but none of them fill me with much confidence. The notebook is also still under warranty so I'm a bit worried about going the third-party route and having the screen fixed, but then finding out the other issues are due to different problems that should be covered by the warranty but may be voided by the repair work.
Is there such a thing as HP-approved third-party repair companies?

Hi sachy88. Sorry for the delayed response. I recognize how challenging this will be. The only way to get a price through HP is to set it up for repair. Since you purchased it in NZ, you will have to take that route to get the replacement.

HP Warranty Repair Help and Advice

I need help to resolve an issue that I'm having.
I sent two of our desktop computers to HP for a warranty repair.
I shipped them in the HP provided boxes with the HP provided shipping labels.
They were both delivered to the HP repair center in Jeffersonville, IN. One of them on 3/25 and the other on 3/26.
We received one of them back very quickly (Order Number BDRJ727001).
We still have not recieved the other one (Order Number BDRH838402)
I have now called 4 times to get a repair status from the toll free number support line.
I have been promised updates to my order each time I have called within 48 hours. I still do not have any updates to my order. The first 3 reps told me that the repair center has my computer and is working on it.
The last rep I spoke to told me that the repair center received an empty box and she would escalate the repair. This is the first time that I have been told this. The first 3 reps said nothing about this.
I don't believe that anyone will be calling me back or giving me an update since nothing has happened as promised yet.
We have 18 HP computers and all are used daily. We really need this computer back so we are not short a workstation. We have been without it for almost 2 months now.
Is there someone else we can call or speak to regarding this issue?

Can I get my iphone repaired for free?

I think there is a problem with my Iphone 3GS. I got it as a gift just over a week ago (not sure if it has had previous owners or not) but since I've had it, it seems to have a problem with charging. Now and again when I plug it in to charge it will come up saying 'charging accessory not supported' or something along those lines but I am using the official charger that came with the phone. I have swapped wires and tried multiple chargers but they all seem to have this problem. The phone was on the latest IOS software when I received it too.
It happens on/off and it could be fine for a few days and suddenly it will start doing it again. The phone vibrates as if it is about to start charging but on the second vibration the messages comes up. When the phone reaches 100% charge this messages also occurs and I've asked other Iphone users who have said that it is just my phone that does this. Is there a problem with the phone and can I get it repaired for free? as I believe I have not done anything to cause the problem and it is a fault with the phone itself.
I was told the phone was only a couple of months old so I thought it would still be under warranty but different websites seem to say different things when I type in my serial number.

You can tell from the serial number that your phone was manufactured in the 16th week of 2010 (3rd through 5th digit) and the Apple warranty is 1 year from the date of initial activation. Note that the warranty follows the phone.
However, in your case with the SN you provided, your phone is a 16GB black 3GS locked to O2 in the UK and was originally sold in the UK and has as the most recent activation date 6/15/2012.

I suspect that you are having a problem with the dock connector in the phone not making a consistently good contact. As others have mentioned, make sure that your connector is clean (no lint) perhaps by using a soft tooth brush. Since you are using Apple chargers and cables and have swapped cables then if cleaning the port doesn't work it would appear that your only option is to have the charger port replaced. Now, I'm assuming that the phone was never opened to replace a screen, battery or other repair because if it was there would be the possibility that a connector is loose or bad.

How do I get out of warranty repair on Zen Xtra 6

I installed Windows Media Player and it informed me my driver was out of date. I clicked on their link and downloaded the new driver and "Play for Sure" os update. When I applied the OS update, it stopped after the first time it said my Zen was rebooting. I had waited 6 hours as it said it could take some time to complete. Now it goes to the resuce mode. I've tried disk clean up, format the disk, and delete the os then tried to flash up OS. The computer says the device is not connected despite it showing up in "my computer". So I call the number and listen to their blurb about visiting to the website which has *NO* reference on how to obtain out of warranty repair. Then the phone menu determines I am out of 60 day complimentary support but I can get a tutor session for $2.99?I know how to use the player, I've used it for a couple years. What I needed to know was how to send it in for out of warranty repair. Back to the 800 number. Woman will help me buy a new player but says there is no way to obtain repair out of warranty but I can pay for a tutor session. I've searched the knowledge base and forums here. I see this question asked before and it seems like no one has gotten an answer. How much would a repair for an unresponsive volume button cost for an iPad 3?

The volume button for decreasing the volume as stopped working and has been unresponsive to restarting the my 3rd gen iPad, and doing a hard shut down. My AppleCare warranty for my device has expired and I would like to know how much a repair for this would cost. It should be noted that the button for increasing he volume still works but since the buttons are technically one button on the device my assumption is that both buttons would have to be replaced. If you could shed some light on whether I should repair my iPad or buy the iPad Air, (whichever one seems cheapest or most cost effective in the long run).
