None of my CC applications are loading new fonts that i install onto my system (PC)

I have tried several things suggested in forums, but nothing works!
Please help!

What fonts? What system? How and where did you install them? You need to provide much more information.

My service provider says everything should be working fine, I still have the 3G symbol and full bars.

Somebody clearly hasn't read the User Guide.
Basic troubleshooting steps are retart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW.
If you have tried ALL of these steps and you're still having problems, then you need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

Hi, Danielle.
Actually, before using Font Book as suggested, you should set its preferences accordingly. This lets you specify whether you want fonts installed by default in your Home > Library > Fonts folder (User Collection) or the Macintosh HD > Library > Fonts folder (Computer Collection). This is important.
Fonts installed in the User collection are only available to your account. Fonts installed in the Computer collection are available to all user accounts on your Mac.
You can then use Font Book to preview a font you've downloaded and decide if you want to install it. Double clicking an uninstalled font presents you with a Preview. If you click Install, Font Book will then install it according to the settings you made in its preferences.
You can also use Font Book to validate new fonts before you install them. In Font Book, select File > Validate File..., then use the resulting navigation dialog to select the fonts you are thinking about installing. This prevents problems that might be caused by installing a corrupted or incompatible font. If you simply add the font to your Home > Library > Fonts folder as suggested earlier without first validating it, you could install a corrupted or incompatible font. Better to know the fonts are good first.

If you just need it for one site you can use the portable version of Firefox 2 instead. You can install the portable version on a USB key, or if one is not available choose the custom install and install it somewhere on your hard drive. The portable version will not interfere with your current version of Firefox. You can get the portable version from http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable - the link for Firefox 2.0.0.20 is near the bottom of that page.

What are these new roles after SP12 install?

Since installing SP12 for J2EE 6.40 & Portal 6 I have noticed the following four new roles have been installed. But I can't work out what extra funcationalty they provide, does anyone know?

Some applications are starting up as if just installed them

Started up my Mac this morning as normal and when I opened i-photo it acted as if I just installed the program. When I clicked ok to open i-photo all pics in my library were gone. I checked the original photos in my i-photo library folder and they are there but not within the application. Similarly, I'm have parallels installed and when I tried to start that program, it acts as if I just installed it (i.e. it wants me to install my windows cd). this problem is not for all my application, for example i-tunes is fine and still has all my music and playlists. MS word, excel, and powerpoint are fine. anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

How exactly to load new fonts into Gimp???

Hi,
I've tried everything I can find in teh forums and the wiki to load fonts into Gimp 2.3. They just will not appear in the fonts dialog. It's driving me nuts.
Can someone please spell out exactly how to do this?
I've loaded the fonts into /root/.fonts - no go. I've loaded them into gimp's font dir - no go. I've run fontcache - no go.
I'm at my wits end.

You should put the fonts in your user's ~/.fonts (I hope that you don't run Gimp as root?). Then just run fc-cache -v to update the font cache and restart Gimp.
If you haven't modified /etc/fonts/fonts.conf, the entry <dir>~/.fonts</dir> should be listed there and thus the users ~/.fonts directory will be searched for fonts.

Load new fonts

Hi everyone. I was just wondering if there's a way to make Photoshop recognize newly installed fonts. When I install a new font, I have to restart Photoshop several times before I'll see the new font(s) in the list. It seems like there must be a better way.

Just wondering if I use "bootcamp" and install Windows operating system and find out one of the main reasons I switched to a Mac is because of security issues. I also need to know if I can operate the Mac version of "Microsoft Office" without installing the Windows Operating System.

Windows concerns are in Windows, OS X in OS X. They do not co-exist because only one system is operational at a time.
Office 2011 is the OS X version of the suite. Look for it here.

New font won't install

I'm trying to install a new font into my MacBook. The font appears in the font folder but when I try to use it in Word the font cannot be found. Any ideas?

Where did you install it? What font is it? There may be a conflict with an existing font, or the font you're trying to use may be corrupt.

So this happened after my maps on iphone crashed. (I turned off the phone and turned it back on and my maps works) Now, all of my downloaded apps (facebook, newsstand, games, ect) will not load. They will open for like 2 seconds and then go back to the main screen.
I tried synching my apps with my computer, but that didn't help.
Please advise!

The same thing is happening on my iPhone. It started after I synced with iTunes on my Mac. Not sure what the cause would be. Both the paid and nonpaid apps will not load.
How do I check that they are really "on" the iPhone?

I have tried numerous times to install both Alchemy and Console Launcher with no luck. Every time it gets the the install screen it says "Please insert disc and locate Layout.bin." Does anyone know why this keeps happening. I have tried both the Oct and Nov releases of the Vista 32-bit driver.

Well, I think the problem with this has to do with the fact that I changed my system variables for TMP and TEMP. The installer uses the WRONG paths and defaults to extracting the files into the C:\Windows\Temp, while my actual TEMP directory resides on a different dri've and path logically causing the installer to reference a non-existent "layout.bin".
Creative, please fix this problem! Its a annoying one but I seem to get it in just about EVERY driver I download causing a lot of annoyance.

Today a little after 12pm, my Firefox Thunderbird stopped receiving new emails and I cannot send emails nor save them. Nothing is downloading. I restarted my comp twice already and updated FT, but still nothing. Please help!

Just had a new phone replace broken one, ATT downloaded my info [ some of it] now I do not know my phone anymore because so much has changed. Is it a new format or did ATT screw up?
1. Now each email continues a thread indicating the number of email I have for that contact , plust the actual email is attached , which I do not need, Can this tread be removed?
2. ATT downloaed my contacts which I had added in a specific manner, such as every Sue was entered by last name, Now, every contact is noted by last name AND first name in the alphabet, it is so annoying
Can this be corrected?
3. ATT downloaded my pictures in a very strange format, each is 1/3 the original size and is loaded sideways, horizontal rotation will not make the photo correct .

Just in case, If wanted to rollback to the original how do I do that ? Since this is my first OAF extension I guess , it wont be perfect the first pass! So, Is there a way to rollback the changes and put back the original VO?

I am trying to install a Kodak printer, I did this before on my previous mac book pro (before it broke) and it was all fine, now it is saying that PowerPC applications are not supported and I cannot install it. Is there anything I can do or a reason?

Mac OS X incudes all drivers for Printers that work with that version of OS X . If one for your printer is not included then you'll need to buy a new printer.
