None of my internet browsers will display youtube in fullscreen.... Help?
For the past month, and this happened out of the blue, my internet browsers are not displaying youtube videos in fullscreen correctly. Safari, the basic apple-based browser started displaying the dock over the videos (but not the menu bar), and to close out that full screen i have to click somewhere in the video and then I have about 2 seconds to close out before my computer starts machine-gunning the error noise... As for chrome, fullscreen last about a second and then resorts back to the normal size, with the result of shifting the application out of focus. Firefox does the same. I have made sure that I am not running any third-party plug ins, and have checked numerous times for any virus on my computer. I am not running any plug-ins, and have no viruses. It's very frustrating, and any help would be appreciated.

Is there any reason why you have never updated your OS from 10.4.6 to 10.4.11?
Chief suspect is the FlashPlayer.
Adobe FlashPlayer should first be uninstalled using the appropriate uninstaller available here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=2 and then the latest version obtained from here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash and installed.
(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.

I deleted a folder from somewhere - i forgot where and i forgot where i found the answer - sorry. I think it was called the FLEX something Folder.
I keep searching and let you know when i remember or find it again.

People do "searches" on the forum to find answers to problems...

None of my web browsers will open certain web pages
I used to use safari but now it wont open myspace.com or facebook.com. Everytime i open the page the login page is visible but seconds after safari shuts out. A box pops up saying The application safari quit unexpectedly Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. I have downloaded firefox but it does the same thing. I will have nothing else open at the time. Computer says its version is a Mac OS X 10.4.6 I have been able to open these pages before...then it was i couldnt get to the photo download page(it would do this) now its the homepage.

Chief suspect is the FlashPlayer.
Adobe FlashPlayer should first be uninstalled using the appropriate uninstaller available here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=2 and then the latest version obtained from here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash and installed.

I am stumped and don't know what to do. None of my web pages will display any content only the bare bones of the webpage...or if I can get it to display content it's seems all garbled up. Help!
I don't know what will help at this point. You should never update a system that has problems, unless you're absolutely sure that the problems are caused by a bug that is fixed in the update. With your backups in an uncertain state, you should not update or do anything else except start a new backup.

Internet Browsers wont open web pages.
I have Windows 7 Home. None of my internet browsers (firefox,IE,chrome) will open any web pages. Was working fine the day before and now nothing. When you type in an address or search on the google tab it just thinks for a a while
then the address bar goes blank and nothing happens. Internet is connected and working fine by cable. Other computers on same network are working regular. Please help... did alot of searching on forums and nothing i have tried yet has worked.

Bold text does not display in internet browsers
I am working on editing a website for a client that I did not originally create so I am having trouble trying to figure out what the previous designer did.
I need to make certain text within paragraphs bold, which I normally do by inserting <b> </b> tags. However when I do this in my coding, it does not display as bold in any of my internet browsers ... IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc.
Can someone please help me with this or suggest what I may have to change in my coding?
Thanks,The reason it is happening is because the <strong> element is the child of an <em>, the <em> is in turn the child of a <p> tag and all of them are set to inherit the font attributes from thier parent tags. The first parent in the chain with a font setting is the <div> tag with the "left_column" class.
The "left_column" class tells all of those child tags to set their text as 14px, black, Arial due to the font:inherit.
The reset is meant to allow you to create css styles for all future tags without any default style being applied by the browser (as Rik suggests, creating the actual " strong {font-weight:bold;}" in your css would also do the trick). Since you don't specify any attributes for those tags other than "inherit your font styling from your parent", they take their attributes from the first parent element with an attribute. -

Thanks in advance!I use Dolphin Browser 6.0. Its faster than 5.0 and has no issues with Flash. I have used flash and used the Beta 6.0 and now the actual released version. Its the best so far. It has tabs like a normal computer browser and even has a gesture feature to do scrolling.
Others are Firefox which has NO flash. Then there is SkyFire which is ok, uses its servers to compress data and show it on your phone, its quick but I found the quality of images not as good as stock.
Opera Mobile and Mini do the same as skyfire.
I personally just didnt care for Xscope of Miren browsers. Didnt care for the feel of Xscope and Miren was developed in China and is modeled after Iphone Browser.
Try em all if you want, biggest benefit of the aftermarket browser is you can sync certain accounts (dolphin with google, firefox with firefox) and instead of storing the Cache info using phone memory you can now save the data and the web browser on the SD card. -

Flash Player crashes internet browsers in windows XP
Hi everybody,
from day one when I installed windows and have tried to watch flash content from any video websites like youtube etc..my internet browsers have crashed stating.
I have tried IE6, IE7, firfox, safari each of them with flash different versions player 10,9 and 8. Error has repeated it self everytime.
Its been a about a month i bought my Unibody late 08 Macbook and have not been able to watchin videos. very rarely i get BCD as well when playing videos.
Im at work can will provide the exact error detail that come up.
I want know has anyone else experienced similar issues, and if yes is there a fix for it..
thanks..i want to contribute to the statistics of touchpad driver not working with vista. the touchpad is crashing vista when the touchpad is used. sometimes just leaving it there would crash vista. i have since learned not to use the trackpad altogether and rely on an external mouse. i also hope that apple fixes this problem asap. i'm surprised that 5 months passed since the last released version of the bootcamp touchpad driver and apple still hasn't make any official response. howard

Laptop does not display web content - Will display temporarily then white screen
When browsing using IE8, It displays the home page then it goes white. When I hit the refresh button, it will display the web content momentarily then the white screen again. I tried installing different web browsers, FIrefox and Chrome. FIrefox won't start. It errors out. Chrome will display white page and I also get the Aw Snap error message. I reinstalled Original windows vista OS using original reinstall disks. Same thing, I installed windows 7 home premium and same result. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I have never seen this type of behavior. I am currently reinstalling windows 7 home premium and am updating all service packs and patches, which I have done previously. Any ideas on trying to solve this problem would be very welcomed.
I do have 2 separate interenet connections. Both are broadband cable connections. One I used using the built in wireless and the other with the ethernet cable. I disabled the wireless once I connected using the ethernet, Same results on both. The wierd thing is now after all of the updates have completed installing, instead of a white screen, now it is a black screen. I have hooked up many PCs with both internet connection and never had this problem. Thanks for your response.

And while im here, does anyone know why my sd card slot wont recognize and why my headphone jack REPEATIDLY turns on the red light after i unplug headphones. I know how to corect it but EVERY TIME. its a major inconvienience to have to switch the switch, q-tip clean it and blow it every time.This is a long shot but I would suspect there is something wrong with your graphics card / GPU. There was a problem with some Macbook Pro's which used the Nvida GeForce 8600 GT but these were ones built around 2007 / 2008.
It might be worth checking what card you have and to check the serial number just in case as it might be covered - my graphics went in my 2007 MBP when I was outside warranty and Apple fixed it for free.
