I tried to install Nonscript Version 2.6.8.1 - because i was having trouble with my Facebook-I went to the internet and that was one of the solutions and I was wondering that was a good one or not??? If so can you help me finish installing and telling me how to use. If not what is my next step. Thanks you-Stacie
NoScript is a great tool: it blocks all scripts on a site until you approve the server (either temporarily for the rest of your session, or permanently). It does require a lot of training, because when you arrive at a site, lots of stuff won't be working until you approve it, but you can be more confident in following links that bad things are less likely to hit you instantly.
I'm not sure how NoScript would help you on Facebook. What is the problem you're trying to fix?
One issue that has come up in Firefox 23 and newer is that some games in Facebook are not embedded using a secure URL, so they appear blank. I can login ok and open some links but unable to open links to other pages within site. I have tried a similar fantasy league of supercoach which has a very similar format and all links on that site work ok. Is this a viral thing or computer issue or site issue? I saved my driver install file, so I tried reinstalling that, then tried updating to the latest driver for my video card, updating quicktime, uninstalling and installing an older version of quicktime instead, and nothing has worked. I think I'm back to my little red herring. So after some googling, it seemed "cineform.cab" was a Sony Vegas thing (so I had it somehow still living in my files from a couple years back), so I got a disc from my friend who'd made me try Vegas in the first place, and reinstalled. The "cineform.cab" file is back, yet my problem remains. *headdesk* So that part is looking busted as to being my problem.
But I'm back to thinking about that Cineform Neo Scene trial, and it would be a huge coincidence if uninstalling that didn't cause the problem (seeing as I've ruled out almost everything under the sun). And what Neo Scene does is convert mov files to avi for better playback and editing in Premiere, and it installs something that makes those avi files playable in Windows Media Player. And I'm getting weirdness in Premiere with mov files and in Windows Media Player with certain avi files. It *has* to be that that trial unistalled (or installed and didn't remove, but I doubt this since I know all was working smoothly while the trial was still active) something it should not have. Right? Or am I just going crazy here?
I guess it's time to try seeing if Cineform tech support will help me without me buying their product. Like a list of everything their uninstaller kills would be nice. -
I have an Apple Configurator install that wont recognize an iPad when I attach it via USB. I cant prepare it or refresh it. It was supervised. I get an error message that says "policy does not have correct profile data". At some point there was a mismatch between the profile on the iPad and the MAC server. The profile on the MAC server has been deleted and the iPad has been erased and reset to default. I need to be able to get Configurator to recognize this device to prepare it for deployment and issue Apps to it. Please help!!
Run the application 'Terminal.app' which you will find in '/Applications/Utilities' on your Macintosh.
Type this into it: defaults delete com.apple.configurator PreprationSavedPolicyDefaultsKey
Hit the return key.
If you get no error message, it worked, and you can quit the app. -
Could any IPAD User please advise how I can go back to the Itunes/Library/Devices side bar from the music, tv, movies pages? The only thing that shows at the bottom are the selections for music/movies/ etc. Thanks
You don't get a sidebar in the iTunes app on the iPad. Your downloaded and synced music, audiobooks and audio podcasts will be in the Music app and your videos and TV shows will be in the Videos app - the iTunes app on the iPad is just the iTunes store.

I have installed the most recent version of Snow Leopard on my MAC, and I am trying to install Mountain Lion from the Apple Store. It will not install, because it says I do not have 2GB of memory, even though I have over 200GB available. Please help.
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
One thing is the memory, and another thing is the hard disk space. You are telling me that you have 200 GB of free space on the hard disk, but the App Store is telling you that you have to install 2 GB of memory or more on your Mac if you want to upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.
First of all, open > About this Mac > More Info, and copy "Model Identifier" here, so we can know what Mac you have got and how much memory you can install.
We recommend to buy the memory in OWC or Crucial (Crucial is cheaper and offers the same compatibility warranty as OWC) because you won't probably have any problem with the memory you buy there -
Since upgrading to the newest version of ios 8, I can no longer share my photos on facebook. I have tried going to settings-privacy-photos, but the facebook app does not show up for me to change the settings. Any suggestions?
when you opened the shared library with the newer version of iPhoto (iPhoto '11) you were given a warning that your library would be converted and could not be used by older versions - you clicked ok to go ahead - there is no updo available - either upgrade to iphoto '11 of the MBP or load your backup of the iPhoto '09 library on it - older versiopns of i{Photo can not read newer libraries

I am attempting to upgrade from Adobe Premier Elements 9 to Adobe Premier Elements 13 after using 13's trial version for a few weeks. I am unable to find where and how to do this without losing the project I have been working on. Please help?

Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 and Premiere Elements 13 are standalone products.
So, you can have both on the same computer, but only open one for your work.
The classical recommendation is to finish a project in the version in which it was created since there
is no guarantee that a project from an earlier version will open in the later version. Probably will, but
no guarantees. And, when you do explore this, do it from a copy of the earlier version project. Once you
take the earlier version project into a later version one, you cannot go back to edit the later version edited
project in the earlier version program.
If you have both versions (9 and 13) on the same computer and you have not moved, deleted, renamed any of the version 9's files/folders,
right click the saved closed Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 project file, select Open With, and then Adobe Premiere Elements 13.
(Your 9.0/9.0.1 saved closed project file should be found in Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/9.0.)

my ipod & itunes are fully up-to-date with 4.2.1 for ipod and the itunes 11.0.1 and every app (ex facebook & ice cream jump says i need 4.3 version but when i click all updates say its all up to date. I have tryed restoring it 4 times to factory as well. Please help I have set-up over 10 ipods and differents generations and have never had this issue like this, I even have all ratings ristriction unchecked and payment info in itunes so i need help please
but i could download on others ipods in same gen, facebook and ice cream tower, everything i look up and try install always says that for apps so your saying that i can not ever download any apps to this ipod ever againÉ

You will have to upgrade your operating system version and possibly your whole computer. We cannot provide more information easily until we know more about your system.
Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Apple does tell you about required equipment for the iPhone -- in 8 point medium gray type on a light gray box. The Store associates kind of automatically assume everybody is running a new model computer and the one I met when we bought our iPhone had never seen a pre-2008 Mac and was somewhat puzzled why anybody would own such an antique. -
after downloading new version of Firefox 4 I am unable to use touch pad for scrolling. I have tried installing and uninstalling the new version but this problem has always been occuring. I do not know how to fix this problem so I always return to the old version.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

Try doing it on your computer with iTunes and then sync to your iPad to see if it clears the problem.
