Noob: Is there a way to "group" two clips on two separate layers together?

Hi, total FCE-newbie here, having barely got to grips with iMovie - so please bear with me...
I'm trying to do something which I would have thought is pretty simple in FCE, but I'm flummoxed...
I have two video clips, one above the other on two different layers, in sync with each other. I want to "group" these two clips together, so that any effects or edits I apply will affect both clips simultaneously.
I found this video tutorial which does exactly what I want, but (a) it's for FC Pro, and (b) it's obviously for a much older version:

That's exactly what I want to do, but I don't seem to have those options available to me - at least not that I can find.
I've looked up "nesting" in the FCE manual, but it talks about something totally un-related, going on about "sequences", and I only have ONE (long) sequence. I don't want to nest or group sequences, but rather I want to group two short clips / layers.
The option-C shortcut mentioned in the video tutorial does nothing for me, and unfortunately the guy doesn't say which menu this keyboard shortcut would normally be found under...
Or am I trying to do something that isn't actually possible in FC Express, and is only available in FC Pro?

I said that I linked directly to the clip in question TWICE. In my first/original post, AND in my second post. Go back and check my very first post. What do you see there? A link directly to the clip in question, perhaps? Yes, that's right.

Now that's not accurate is it? Can you see why I found your original answer misleading? Because that is NOT what happens in the PRO version of Final Cut. The walkthrough shown in the clip (which I linked to directly) shows nothing about sequences within sequences - only nesting two clips together in one sequence.
If you had not told me this inaccurate piece of information, then maybe the rest of what you said would have made more sense in context.

You cannot merge accounts.
You need to sign into the old account on your computer.

You'll want a separate iCloud account for each user in addition to the main Apple ID used for purchases.
Let's say you have a family of four (husband, wife, and two children). Here is what you will need:
Main Apple ID for shared purchases in Tunes (everybody will be using this)
iCloud (Apple ID) account for husband
iCloud (Apple ID) account for wife
iCloud (Apple ID) account for child 1
iCloud (Apple ID) account for child 2
Yes, you can have both an Apple ID and iCloud account setup on the same device. On each iOS device, setup the main Apple ID account for the following services:
iCloud (Photo Stream and Backup are the only items selected here).
Music Home Sharing
Video Home Sharing
Photo Stream
Additionally, on each iOS device, add a new iCloud account (Under Mail, Contacts, Calendar) that is unique to each user for the following services:

On your individual Macs (or Mac accounts), use the main Apple ID in iTunes. Then, use the unique iCloud account in/for iCloud.
Now that everbody is using separate iCloud accounts for your contacts, calendars, and other things, it will be all be kept separate.
The only thing that is now 'shared' would be iTunes content (apps and other purchases), backups via iCloud (if enabled), and Photo Stream (if enabled).

I'm having to copy the clip rename it as clipreverses.wav then bring it back into audition to use it.
Sony Vagas you can flip the same clip on a different track with a right click and not affect any other copies of that clip.

Not that I'm aware of, no. You can easily make a unique copy of a clip (right-click on it, and you get it already saved for you), and I'd say that having this was more flexible in one way, at least, as you could then time-stretch it if you wanted to, without altering all other instances of it. Not saying that there wouldn't be any point in having a reverse-play option - I can see instances where it might be useful. It's just that it's not exactly difficult to achieve this anyway, which is probably why I don't ever recall a request for it!

is there a way to have the clip name (kind of like a title) automatically? I do highlight videos and for the early versions I upload it with clip numbers to make it easier to identify the clips to move them around. My clip names are the same as those numbers...if I could just show the clip name when I upload the video it would save me a TON of time. Anyone know of a way to do that? Thank you!

safari remembers it's last window position when you close it. so next time you start it will open in the same position it was when you quit it last. that's the only control available. there is no other way to fix the safari starting position.

In CS6 on my Mac, I downloaded a bunch of fonts, installed them, and opened PS. When I select text and go to the font options drop-down, it is hard to find the new fonts that I want to work with unless I go back and check each font name, etc.. There are various groupings of fonts already there by default, and I am not clear on the reasons why they are grouped the way they are.
1. Is there a way to place certain fonts into certain groups/customized so I can easily try out the new fonts on my files?
2. Why are there 7 groups of fonts, each separated by horizontal lines in my font drop-down menu?

Is there any way of grouping calls logs from same person/number/contact in call record on iPhone5?

I've just moved from BBry to iPhone5, and must admit that I am pretty dissapointed with the device.
I cannot find the way to group call logs from the same person/nmber/contact in call records, so I ended up with having multiple records (sometimes 7-10) for calls to and from the same number. Any solution for this?
Also, I cannot find the way to insert multiple attachements to my e-mails. How to do it?
Another issue I have is that I am not able to use most of the apps via WiFi, won't load pages, refresh, etc. When switched to cellular network, works fine. How to solve it?
All in all, device that costs $800 should have at least those basic functions, rahter than just being pure teenagers' show off phone! Business phone - no way!

If you are using 11.5 just keep in mind that the JCO connection points to a single application server (based upon the SAP Server alias connection settings), but the traffic itself to make a BAPI request is effectively the same as any client user traffic. There will obviously be limitations on performance and throughput, with network and server constraints added to the number and size of the R/3 requests, but there is no magic formula to plug-in because of all of these variables.
If you are using 12.0 (or plan to migrate when it goes GA) then taking advantage of the JRA (java resource adapter) and the associated application server pooling that it offers on the NetWeaver side of things will greatly help you in the throughput capacity.
If you have put some of your xMII application into either test or productive use and are running into issues then I would highly recommend entering the specifics into the customer / partner support portal so that they can help you through any associated problems.

Is there a way to group transitions on multiple audio tracks

In FCP, when working with four tracks of audio. I could place a transition between two clips (4 tracks each) and extend the transition to all transitions simultaneously. In Adobe I have to select each one. And even when I highlight all four and try to extend, it only selects one.

I've figured out how to apply a default transition to all the clips, but my issue is once it is there how do I change them all. I've figured out I can select each transition one by and and set the duration to a new length. But in FCP, once a transition was on the clips, you could click one and they would all be highlighted. Then you could roll extend the transition to make the duration of every transition longer.
