Noob question - How can I copy a specific time sequence from an audio file

Hello, I want to chop up an audio file
into time-specific lengths. How can I accomplish this precisely? I know I can position the playhead precisely but
how can I copy a chunk of an audio file, for example, if I wanted the segment from 00:02:34.7
to 00:05:42.1? Is my only option the "drag" selection of the
Time Selection tool? Is there not an option to do some start and end point setting so I can be as arbitrarily precise as necessary?

Assuming you are not syncing with iCloud and you mean, syncing with iTunes only...(you can only use one or the other for syncing to prevent duplicates)
iTunes -
- Open iTunes on your Mac. Connect your iPad. Then click on your iPad (either its name or just "iPad"), then click the info tab (right above the photo of an iPad in the middle). From here you can select sync contacts, then sync groups, and select the groups you want and choose Apply/Sync in the bottom left corner.
iCloud -
- With iCloud if you just sign into iCloud in System Preferences and turn on Contacts, it will prompt to merge all of your contacts that are not already syncing with Gmail or Yahoo!, etc. so there really isnt a way to pick and choose as much with that.
- However if you really want to use iCloud and not iTunes, you could import the contacts that you want into iCloud.com, but you would need to export them from your Contacts App on your Mac and then import them into iCloud (VCard / .VCF is the format you want).

I'm very late to the conversation but thought I'd chime in since I've just been dealing with this myself. One way to copy from Kindle books is to make sure that you have your settings to backup highlights etc. online, then highlight the text in the Kindle app, go to your Kindle webpage (https://kindle.amazon.com/your_highlights) and copy the text from there.
Remember, to be able to do this you have to set the app to backup highlights etc. I think this is set individually for each book. On my iPad the default is to backup.

Go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on your device and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup and follow the prompts. You will be shown a list of available backups and asked which backup you want to restore from (see image below). Choose the older backup, if listed. Setup Assistent.
When you first start the new Mac one of the first question will be do you wish to restore from another Mac. If the other Mac is on the network you can use Setup Assistent to migrate everything over from the old Mac to the new Mac.

Having just moved from Entourage to Apple Mail on an Exchange back-end, everything is running smoothly except for one thing - when I copy emails that include quotes from replies (i.e. those coloured vertical lines down the left of the message) and paste them into other applications (Word, TextEdit, etc.) these indentations are not preserved, and instead each line starts at the left margin. This makes following interleaved conversations in the pasted document very difficult. It's as though Mail allows me to copy the view onto the message, rather than the source of the message (I believe that Mail simply reinterprets the '>' quote indentations for presentation, but retains these in the stored message).
How can I restore copying of quote indentation in Apple Mail for pasting in other documents?

You will need Pages or a sjmilar word processing program for this, TextEdit doesn't appear to be capable. Using Pages:
Open your message. From the 'View' Menu choose "Message>Raw Source'.
Copy the body of the message.
Paste into a Pages Word Processing blank template.
Open Find, click 'Advanced'.
Set 'Find' to '>' (no quotes)
Set 'Replace' to tab (select from the 'Insert' drop-down menu)
Click 'Replace All'.
Set 'Find' to '=20' (no quotes)
Set 'Replace' to a single space.
Click 'Replace all'.
Obviously this will lose the colours which identify the level of quotes but you will have the indentation.

Your requirement is very much possible by Page Customization.
In Page Customization when you add the field for Hidden = yes
there are more attributes : Dimension Field , Dimension Field Type, Dimension Value
In this put
Dimension Field = DISPLAY_NAME
Dimension Field Type = Object Referance
Dimension Value = click search help to select your template.
Create this for each and every Template you reqiure to Hide the field.
Hope this solves your case.

How can I grab a specific integer value from iTunes Current Album?

Currently I'm working with these two bits of code:
This returns the "album" value from the track current playing in iTunes.

The 'return' within the run handler is going to stop the first script. How are you trying to get that data to the second script?
If they're the same script just put the data into a variable and append it to the URL. This simplified script shows the principle:

Copy and paste? What app are you using?
When you tap on an image and select copy that usually copies the URL of the image.
Save image copies the image to your Camera Roll.
Most apps have an Insert choice that inserts an image from your Camera Roll into the document you are working on.
But if you tell us which app you are using, we should be able to provide more exact info on how to get done what you want.

How can I copy a movie I created from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro?

I recently had my iPad 3 and my MacBook Pro stolen. I still have my iPhone 5. I created a home video with Final Cut Pro on my missing MBP. I imported that video into iTunes and put it on my iPad and iPhone in the videos app. Now I need to get the video from my phone back onto my new MBP but have not been able to figure out how. It doesn't show up in iPhoto so I can't do it there. I tried using AirPlay or sharing but the video app doesn't allow sharing. I rescued my pictures and video clips with senuti but it did not work for the movie files. Please help. I cannot sync my phone with my computer until I get this resolved for fear of loosing the video.

If you rented it on your phone then you can't, you can only watch it on the phone - from FAQs about renting movies from the iTunes Store :
If you rented the movie on your computer, you can move it to an iOS device or Apple TV (1st generation).
If you rented the movie on your iOS device or Apple TV, you can’t move it to any other device.
