Normal behaviour?

Hi everyone,
I have bought the last MBP 13 inch (2011) for one month and I made a mistake, I installed Fan Control which disturbed the fan's behaviour (I think)!  I uninstalled the program and reset the SCM but I'm not sure the fans are working! I have just made a new installation today of Snow Leopad (Just update and not a full clear installation) and the fan is still at 2000 rpm until aproximately 80-85°C and than the fan suddenly began to be active with 3000-3500 rpm!
I just wanna ask if this behaviour is normal ?? Is there any problem?
Thank you for your help!^^

hi odd. mine works fine. the temperature is about 40-50 degrees celsius with 1900-2100 rpm of fan under 22-23 degree celsius room - this is while i'm watching downloaded prisonbreak series and doing some CS5 (one open apps at the same time). same while browsing safari while listening to itunes or radio live streaming. playing dota around 75-85 degree celsius with less 4k rpm of fan under same room temperature. the last time it when to 96 degree celsius and 5500-6000 rpm was the time that im playing prince of persia and assasin creed with high resolution. the fan will get noisy like jet engine and palm rest will get hot/warm. but after you finish/close the game, the palm rest and fan will back to normal.

    You have to turn on 3G/4G/LTE and be in a coverage area for such to happen.
    Or connect to wifi.
    Normal behavior for Edge is very very slow.

  • Outline Stroke – normal behaviour?

    Here's a strange anomaly I bumped into.
    I drew a single open path with its ends crossing (see black line on the shot below).
    When I outline the stroke everything runs into one instead of overlapping (see red shape).
    Separate paths produce overlapping objects when outlined, so I would have expected the shape in my example to overlap itself.
    It is as if a Pathfinder Unite has been applied.
    Is this normal behaviour? Has Illie always done it this way?

    Steve,
    Is this normal behaviour? Has Illie always done it this way?
    It is always diffiult to determine whether a behaviour is normal or even rational, but she has always behaved that way.
    I believe she sees a (self overlapping) path as one object and  is unable to decide a split into parts, even though there is an order of Anchor Points; and after all, a self overlapping path may have only one segment so it is not always possible to consider an order of segments.
    Apart from that, a split would lead to separate paths, would it not (with coinciding ends that would be stroked if the paths were to be stroked)?
    And if the order should be shown without splitting the path, would it not require some rather strange solutions, apart from giving her a splitting headache trying to figure them out?

  • Agregation exception not working - bug or normal behaviour

    We want to define a key figure with an  exception agregation to count a number of invoices of a selection.
    We decided to create a specific Key figure with the following properties :
    Type : Integer / Cumulative values
    Exception agregation :  Minimum or Maximum
    Agregation Sum
    It doesn't work as we want and I'm sure I already did it in the pas on another project. Please let me know if it's a bug or a normal behaviour.
    With the following data set :
    Day | Invoice | Invoice Item | KF
    D1  |INV1     | ITM1         | 1
    D1  |INV1     | ITM2         | 1
    D1  |INV1     | ITM3         | 1

  • Monitoring the jms connection - normal behaviour

    Hi all,
    -> We have a SNMP agent on a managed server and is targeted to the same.
    -> We have not created any gauge monitor,String monitor or counter monitor, its all blank.
    Question:
    Considering the above setup, If there is a new jms connection should SNMP call the jmx to get the reference of the jms connection.??
    Is this the normal behaviour of weblogic with no monitor attributes specified?
    /SR

    Enable the JMX on domain by adding below JVM Options to domain.xml, then from the JDK/bin use JConsole, this very light weight and gives all the info of JVM.
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote - this will allow the IS to use the same MBeanServer as the VM instead of starting a new one
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=18010 - the port the MBeanServer listens on
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false - no security
    -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false - no SSL either

  • Is it normal behaviour of simpledateformatter???

    Is it normal bevaviour of SimpleDateFormat to allow 9 digits in year if we specify date format as
    "dd/mm/yyyy".
    I was expecting that it should be giving date in only 4 digiits.[as it does in case of  format string "dd/mm/yy" it restricts year upto 2 digit only]
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    import java.text.ParseException;
    public class SimpleDateFormatterTest
    public static void main(String args[])
    SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy");
    SimpleDateFormat sdf1 = new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yy");
    sdf.setLenient(false);
    String dateStr = "12/03/123456789";
    try
    System.out.println("Date after format : dd/MM/yyyy"+sdf.format(sdf.parse(dateStr))); // It takes 9 digit as date
    System.out.println("Date after format dd/MM/yy : "+sdf1.format(sdf1.parse(dateStr)));//It behaves normally :-)
    catch (ParseException e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    Regards
    Aminur

    funny indeed... but this is what the API says:
    Year: For formatting, if the number of pattern letters is 2, the year is truncated to 2 digits; otherwise it is interpreted as a number.
    For parsing, if the number of pattern letters is more than 2, the year is interpreted literally, regardless of the number of digits. So using the pattern "MM/dd/yyyy", "01/11/12" parses to Jan 11, 12 A.D.
    For parsing with the abbreviated year pattern ("y" or "yy"), SimpleDateFormat must interpret the abbreviated year relative to some century. It does this by adjusting dates to be within 80 years before and 20 years after the time the SimpleDateFormat instance is created. For example, using a pattern of "MM/dd/yy" and a SimpleDateFormat instance created on Jan 1, 1997, the string "01/11/12" would be interpreted as Jan 11, 2012 while the string "05/04/64" would be interpreted as May 4, 1964. During parsing, only strings consisting of exactly two digits, as defined by Character.isDigit(char), will be parsed into the default century. Any other numeric string, such as a one digit string, a three or more digit string, or a two digit string that isn't all digits (for example, "-1"), is interpreted literally. So "01/02/3" or "01/02/003" are parsed, using the same pattern, as Jan 2, 3 AD. Likewise, "01/02/-3" is parsed as Jan 2, 4 BC.
    So I'd say it is indeed expected behaviour...

  • Is this normal behaviour?

    I close the lid of my macbook pro, it goes to sleep pretty much straight away (the indicator starts breathing), I put it in my bag and head off.
    When I take it out of my bag a few hours later, the power is off, and it wont turn on - I guess it woke up in my bag and ran itself out of battery (I know this should NOT happen but is quite common, this isn't the behavior I'm querying about).
    So I connect the AC adapter to my mbp, the little light on the adapter tip goes orange (charging). When i switch on my mbp the screen goes that light blue/grey whatever it is... but just freezes, it doesnt even do the very first chime.
    I switch it off again, and let it charge for about half an hour, then switcheit on, and the same thing happens! Wont get past the initial light screen BEFORE the chime.
    I let it charge over night, and now I can switch it on.
    Is this normal? I.e. when the battery is fully drained, can you not run the MBP off the AC?

    i have to agree about the odd behavior regarding the mbp waking while closed. it seems like i notice this too. one thing i thought of is the power settings- if they are set to wake or whatever at a certain time.
    i don't know about your issue on restarting (failure of it). in my case when i was dead from no power, it seems to start with the power plugged in. BUT i do have issues similar but differant than yours.in my case if the mbp doesn't start at tht point i have to do a HARD restart- and just hold the power button down. this may not be related to the charge/power. but more like the sleep state locked up the system. my screen stays black and will either show the spinning wheel, or noththing. so similar but a different scenario than yours.
    one big question is WHY if they are asleep are they waking?
    related point: if it can wake while closed, why can't we purposely keep the mbp running while closed? LOL
    seriously though, i know people say to preotect the HD while carrying the laptop etc. BUT ther are so many times when i want to close the mbp while running!! like playing itunes to a stereo- i don't want o keep the mbp open, and i just want to set it on the table or something. BUT I want to keep playing music. or perhaps close the lid, while doing a 20minute virus scan, or close the lid while other stuff. but i don't want to leave the lid open while doing any o fthese things.
    seems odd, if the mbp can wake on it's own while closed, why can't we keep it awake while closed?

  • Theme download: bug or normal behaviour? Nokia 216...

    Hi there, my first post... Sorry for my bad english.
    I have a Nokia 2610 and I am quite happy with it if it wasn't for a nasty flaw: I wasn't able to download a single theme or ring tone.
    I have activated GPRS support, I have downloaded successfully several JAVA games and applications, a few images, but whenever I try to download a theme from any theme site I am unable to save it: when I select the folder in which to save the theme (Themes folder) my screen goes blank and the phone seems to shut down. I open it again and it doesn't go through start-up cycle (Nokia logo, start-up sound, user greeting), instead it only displays the battery charge, about 2 seconds after it shows the wallpaper and, after another 2 seconds it aquires the mobile network and it's ready to use. Obviously, no file downloaded, no GPRS connection anymore. The same is with the ring tone.
    I have tried to use a small web server to download to my mobile the theme I wish to use, only to find that my phone saves the file as text file, and I am unable to change it's type. I have searched for a resource editor for the phone, but I had no success yet.
    Has someone encountered a similar problem? And, maybe, solve it?

    HI,
    From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences then select the General tab.
    You can deselect: Open "safe" files after downloading.

  • JSF fragment reusability  - problem or normal behaviour ?

    Hi all,
    I have one bounded TF (let say TF_A) , consisting of one jsf fragment (let say, fragment A).
    From that TF, I am trying to run another TF (in the af:popup, as as static region) , which uses the same fragment A.
    But, when popup rises up, I am getting:
    oracle.jbo.InvalidOperException: JBO-35110: Nested BindingContainer of this type taskflows.fragment_APageDef is already included in this parent BindingContainer:....So, it is possible to use the same jsf fragment at the same time, in both TF ?
    If yes, then how ?
    Jdev 11.1.1.6

    No, this cannot be done, because my wrong design of jsf fragment.
    I added second TF as a region in the af:popup, which is part of fragment
    So, in the fragment's pageDef, there is TF binding which references second TF, which, in turn, contains the same fragment as a View activity.
    So, the question is - How to design both TF to use same fragment, but to have ability to call second TF in the af:popup ?
    The popup cannot be part of jsf fragment, because of TF binding in the pageDef...or can ?!?

  • Normal behaviour for "inactive passwords" setting?

    If I have the OD policy for passwords set to "disable after inactive for xx days" - does this take effect if a user is not an interactive logon?  ie, I have a user account setup that is used solely for connecting to a share on the server.  It never "logs in" like a human would sitting at a mac.  A process would connect to a share on the server using this user each day.
    Related:  Is there any way to setup "do not expire" for users?

    Hi Jeffery
    As a new user to SAP b1 I have no answer to your question but an observation. I have placed several questions on this forum about Dates because I am convinced that in B1 2007, SAP programmers made a mess in naming Date Field names in such a confusing way that they cannot tell which Date is what. For example in OINV table DocDate field is named Posting Date and in the same table the TaxDate field is named Document Date.
    So this is only a guess but perhaps the Date Ranges you are referring to are pointing to the wrong DATE field so it would  not work.
    Good luck

  • Normal behaviour of Library?

    Hi!
    After some time of hesitation, i decided to give iPhoto a try. Not being sure if i would definitely use it -and not wanting to duplicate all the files- i created the library keeping my pics in the original location (folders that i use to access via Finder).
    Once everything was imported i found out that inside the library the folder 'Originals' contains only 'aliases' -what i expected- but the folder 'Modified' contains a copy of around 2300 pics, all of them taken in 'portrait' orientation (none of them were modified after importing).
    Is this the way it's supposed to be? Why the library consider these files as modified, and make a copy of each one?
    Sorry if is a stupid question, I'm just trying to understand the way the library works....
    Thanks,
    JB.

    o i guess there's no way to have these files as referenced: iPhoto will make a copy of them, even if the 'modification' occurred before importing... right?
    This refers specifically to files that have Exif tags in them only: i.e. files that appear "edited" but actually are not.
    Referenced means a whole other thing and refers to file management.
    I plan to use Aperture3 as photo editor, not iPhoto.
    Time for a new plan!
    Aperture is not a Photo Editor, any more than iPhoto is. It's a Photo Manager that uses a lossless workflow to process files. It'a a replacement for iPhoto not an adjunct.
    If i choose to have a referenced Aperture Library, will the Aperture library make a new copy of that 'portrait' pics anyway?
    Aperture works in an entirely different way from iPhoto. There is no modified file. All edits are stored in the Aperture Database and applied live to the file when you view it.
    Integration with Aperture is achieved by Previews - which you can choose to generate or not - though if you choose not to then the only way to access a modified version from Aperture is to export it.
    In practise I have found no significant difference between the Apeture Library size and the iPhoto one. (obviously that includes the space taken by referenced masters). Put another way, don't use aperture if you think it will save space. It won't.
    If so, what's the better way to have the less amount of copies of the same file in my computer? (considering that i already have my backups in an external HD)
    First off- these are not copies of the same file. They are different versions of the same photo. These are no more "copies" of the same file than the second draft of your novel is a "copy" of the first.
    Second: Lossless Photo Management takes up space. If you want to save space, don't use lossless photo management or take less photos. On the other hand, disk space is cheap and you can run Libraries in both apps from External Disks.
    Lastly, a back up is not a "copy" either. It's a very necessary failsafe. So, honestly, you don't have any redundant copies of anything in your system, if you think about it.

  • Disabling normal JButton click behaviour for double click

    This seems quite a poser.
    Basically I have a test JButton for testing double click speed. This is in a dialog with the JButton and a JSlider.
    I have some code which detects the double click, I add this as using 'addMouseListener()', but I need to disable the normal single click action of the JButton to replace it by the double click code calling 'doClick()'.
    How do I disable the normal single click functionality ?
    I have looked through the SDK source but cannot fathom the normal behaviour of the event mechanism.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Reference behaviour of strictly typed controls

    I have a question regarding the bahaviour of a user-made cluster which I have set to strictly typed.
    I am using a reference to this cluster (Which in turn contains other clusters) to automatically read an ini file. I also have an array within one of these sub-clusters (Main Cluster - Sub-Cluster - Array). I want to set the values within this array (The elements of which are also clusters) using only the reference to the control. This works fine, except for the fact that I cannot programatically set the index of the array if my control is strictly typed. If I change the control to type-def, it works.
    Is this normal behaviour, and if so, can someone please tell me why? Does it have to do with altering the appearan
    ce of the control?
    Thanks in advance
    Shane.

    i am using oracle identity manager 11g (11.1.1.3) + weblogic 10.3.3 + soa suite 11.1.1.3 + sun jdk 160_18.
    I have installed the DBAT connector, and i would like to know if the following is a normal behaviour.
    1) search wizards in popups close themselves on search, especially the "manage connectors", "add provisioned resource" in user tab and the "manage resources" ones, with a pack of exceptions in the logs. I have to open them again and repeat the search in order to get the results.
    2) having created a gtc connector, i am unable to modifiy mappings, field properties (say making a field required) and stuff like that in the graphical provisioning flow screen. Most of the time i get "system error" in the popups and i have to open them again to successfully modify the options i want.
    most of the time in the logs i got this kind of errors
