Normalizing playback sound level

I have checked in Itunes under Preferences, Playback tab the Sound Check option that should make all the music playback at the same level, although on the Ipod i get different sound levels when playing the musics. There is a way to do yhis work on the Ipod?

My pc sound level is very low on playback from dvd and most websites even though its at 100 percent

the playback level on dvd and most video streams is very low.(youtube seems ok)This is my second pavillion g7 w/ windows 7 .The first had a defective fan but the sound level was ok and there was a graphic eq section for sound control with other output options.I've yet to find that area on this pc in the month I,ve had it even though their identical computers.I,m at a loss for the cause of the problem.Headphones work fine but are annoying.

i use professional studio monitors to monitor the audio
the issue , is if i turn up the audio it will clip on premieres main output. so i cant turn it up any more.
the specific moment i took the screenshot the audio volume was at -18db, but even if it was up at 0db it would not even reach half volume on my computers main output
this is the case regardless of the nature of the audio, be it stock music, dialogue, or sound effects maybe there is a hidden master output that im unaware of

HP Pavillion 15-p046na sound level on playback

Hi,
I've recently bought an HP Pavillion 15 laptop with AMD/Realtek HD audio hardware and Beats Audio.
Windows 8.1operating system. It's brand new out of the box with no updates made.
When I playback mp3 music via Windows Media Player, the volume is getting boosted during quiet parts. This is especially noticeable on tracks which fade out, the sound level gets progressively higher as the song fades out, like it's trying to maintain a constant playback volume. This creates a lot of background noise on music recorded from vinyl, for example.
I've checked it isn't the recording, by transferring the same mp3 file to another device and playing it there - the song plays back exactly as recorded, no problem.
I can't find any options in the audio devices (or beats audio) which might control this behaviour. Is there an equaliser somewhere in the system?
p.s. it behaves the same even with Beats Audio disabled.
p.p.s it behaves the same with internal speakers, headphones and external speakers.

Welcome to the HP Forums.
It appears that you're having issues with audio playback. I will try to assist you on this.
As you mention not dong any updates yet, start with those. Complete all Windows updates, then use the HP Support Assistant to make sure all drivers are updated.
From there, read over this document:
No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8)
You have checked a few things from it already, just go over to see if there is anything else.
You can also try these steps (not sure if they will work for this issue, but have for other audio issues)
Open Windows Control Panel > Sound > Under Playback tab, double click on Speakers to open Properties > Go to Advanced tab > From the dropdown, select the highest quality stereo output. By default its on the second lowest setting which is DVD quality > Apply and close.
If that doesn't help, try this:
Move from the Playback tab to the Recording tab. Double click on Stereo Mix to open the properties and repeat the steps done earlier. Go to Advanced tab, select highest quality from the drop down > Apply and close.

Apple DVD Player sound level low

What can I do to raise the sound level in Apple DVD Player?
The player's volume slider is on maximum, and the system volume is about 3/4 of the way up.
I am using amplified speakers and they are normally set to about 1/4 of full, but for DVD playback they have to be turned up to almost 3/4.

How do I get a descent sound level and quality when exporting out of Logic ??

Hi guys,
I know this topic's been discussed many times before but I still can't fix my problem
I'm going crazy right now. It's been weeks I've been working on beats on Logic and I think they now sound pretty cool.
So I'm trying to export them out of Logic on mp3,or wav, or aiff but everytime it comes out very low. So when I'm applying different tips (limiter, adaptative limiter and different things I found on the internet... ) the sound level is a bit higher but still the quality is not as good as it is on Logic
So here's my questions : first, is it possible to get the exact same quality as the one you have when listening into logic ?
then how to get the best quality with a normal sound level so when you listening to the mp3 or wave or aiff on itunes just after a normal song you don't have to turn the sound up

We have a new iPod Classic and would like some help in choosing "Import Settings" (under Peferences) when loading the iPod from the Mac. We want to be sure that we can maintain a constant sound level. Used with Bose sound dock. OS 10.6.8 iTunes 10.6.1.

Maintain adjusted sound levels in quicktime pro

how do i maintain adjusted sound levels in quicktime pro 7 when i export for web release? it constantly returns to default levels.

Adjustments made in the A/V window are not saved with the file (except for local playback).

Having trouble with iPhone 5 sound level changing.

When I touch the edges of the side of my iPhone 5, the phone vibrates and the sound level goes to zero. I have to press the sound level button to change it back to whatever setting I had it at in the first place. Any suggestions to solve or is this normal?

Camera is not functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tapping Settings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center. Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

I Need to Even out the Sound Level from Tune to tune

This is the problem I'm facing ....
After recording a number of tunes ... and then burning them in iTunes ... I'll find that the ouput level changes from tune to tune.
For example ... one tune's overall sound level is too low compared to the next one.
When I'm mixing I of course try to have the master output as high as possible without clipping.
I have been using Fission to normalize each tune individually ... but
Is there a way to even out the levels from tune to tune. Of course i have "Sound Check" marked in iTunes preferences.
Here is a strange but true story ...
Someone took one of my disks with this problem .... went to a Sony store where they copied it ...
and the sound levels are more even I swear. Is there some sort of software in cd copiers that can do this?

Sound level with exported slideshow

After I exported the slideshow I used iDVD to create a show. When viewed with my TV and dvd player the sound is extremely high. I must set volume so that it is maybe a third our our normal setting and even then some distrotion is taking place during some portions of the various tracks.
Is there a way to set the sound level when exporting a slide show to be used in iDVD?
I opened on show in FCE and the level is set to the highest.
Any ideas?

Sound level meter -Save Leq

I hope someone can answer me fast as I need to meet a deadline
I made the sample Sound Level Meter DAQmx for Sound and Vibration 2013.
My concern with this is that I need to save the Leq per second after we collect all data.
What I did is attached but I do not know where to attached the write measurement file express.

Poke the Data acquired into a Queue. (making this the producer loop)
De-Q the Data in another loop (consumer loop)
Update the file in the consumer loop - this means that File IO overhead will not affect your sampling rate.
Open the File reference before the Consumer Loop starts and close it when complete to minimise File Opening and closing as data is saved (or save the file every n samples/seconds if you are paranoid)
This will get you a faster more flexible architecture - File IO has a much larger overhead than DAQ normally so moving this to a seperate Q and thread allows parallel processing.

Control flash sound level

Hi,
is it possible to control the sound level of the flash player from Windows Volume Mixer and have it permanently stay on the level I set? I'm using Windows 8.1. After every playback on Youtube, the sound level resets to the maximum level.

Yes, however the volume mixer does not sync with the volume slider on the flash plug in unfortunately.

Speaker sound level

I just bought a MBP 2.0 ghz upgrading from A 1.33 17" PB G4 and I find that the sound level in the speakers of the MBP is way lower than that of the PB does anyone else face this problem

I noticed that after both Firmware updates the sound level returned to 'normal'. But only for a few moments. Soon after the startup completed, it went back to the lower level. So I reckon it is a software thing and some update will resolve it. In the mean time, I just turn up the volume on my external speakers when listening music.

I love my thinkpad yoga 14. But It has about 10% of the volume of my 8 year old Dell Inspiron 14. In fact it has 10% of the volume of my smart phone, or Kindle HD or daughter's HDX. I have no "enhancements" or equalizer in my control panel. I do have the conexant "smart audio" and I've done everything I can do (removed earphone limit, etc.) but there is no EQ in my version to boost it. I cannot hear music or video over my own breathing. .. I've ordered a USB clip on speaker but this was nearly a two thousand dollar laptop and it doesn't seem rational that it has almost NO sound. Anyone have any similar experience??
