Not a question! Simple advice!!! DUMP the crap Plug In Container!

Fed up with constantly receiving "plug in container stopped responding" messages. This is undoubtedly the worst idea you guys have had! Ever!
It always seems to happen about seven eighths of the way into a movie or other event that I'm trying to watch.
Firefox IS up to date but I'm not sure this is a good thing either since some of my codecs which worked great previously are listed as "incompatible!"

deleted everything under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\SYSTEM (folders 0000 to 0004)

[Other 865 Series] Newbie question. Where do the wires plug in from case to motherboard?

Hi, This is my first time trying to make a computer. Seems like it wouldnt be that hard if I could just figure out where the wires plug in. I bought a Broadway 9968 case and a 865pe Neo3 motherboard. The wires in the case and the book for the motherboard shows the names well enough. But my problem is they dont match each other. I dont understand what plugs to what. Im not even sure if I need all the wires.
This is what the wires in my case say:
1st bundle
Green 2 +D
Black Ground
Yellow 2 -D
Red 2 +vcc
2sd bundle
green 1 +D
red 1 +vcc
Black ground
yellow 1 -D
Last bundle says IEEE 1394
pink TPB-
green TPB+
white VCC
blue TPA+
orange TPA-
2 black ground
What do these names mean in relation to what the motherboard calls them?

these wires are for your usb connectons , your motherboard book should tell you the Pin definitions
Here is what they are for my board (make sure you check to see if they are the same for yours, they should be but check ........ )
First look for the usb headers on the board , work with one header and one bundle at a time
On the 1st header
1- Find pin 1 and connect the wire labled "+VCC"( your "red 2" wire)
2- Find pin 3 and connect the wire labled -d (your "yellow 2" wire)
3- Find pin 5 and connect the wire labeled +d ( your "Green 2" wire)
4- Find pin 7 and connect the wire labeled " Ground" ( your " black" wire )
on the second header
1- Find pin 2 and connect the wire labeled +VCC ( your " red 1" wire)
2- Find pin 4 and connect the wire labeled -d( your "yellow 1" wire)
3 -Find pin 6 and connect the wire labled +d( your " Green 1" wire)
4- Find pin 8 and connect the wire labled Ground ( your " Black" wire)

This is for a fire wire connection , if your board has a header for firewire this is where you would conect to . My firewire is on my D Bracket so I do not have a seperate header . If you cannot figure out if you need this one let me know and I will download your manual and see if I can help

Not a question - I give up - the Apple TV is crap

I've now had the Apple TV since August, and I've had nothing but troubles. You name a problem, and I've had it. Sometimes it resolves itself after a week. Other times, I have to look through the many discussions to find solutions and try them all. My current problem is that the Apple TV won't connect to the network. This has happened before and then resolved itself after being unplugged, reconfigured, reset, etc. but it's been a month. The long, convoluted suggestions that I've read require more technical knoledge than I have and access to the router. My router is not accessible to me as it is part of the apartment building. It is also telling me that my password is incorrect although I just logged into iTunes on my computer with it.
I will be returning my Apple TV. I had a Roku before and had NO problems. Unfortunately, I live in a country where the wonderful features of Roku are not available but iTunes is. That's the only reason that I got the Apple TV. If you have a choice and if you happen to be trying to make a decision about what to do, get the Roku instead.
On a somewhat related note, my iPod touch, which is only a little more than a year old, has had a lot of issues, too. Thus far, my MacBook Pro has not been a problem, but if it starts to become a problem, I'm giving up on Apple altogether.
For now, fed up and giving up on Apple TV.

You don't, as far as I know. The connection port on the Apple TV is HDMI.

Mine is not a question but I received the solution to the iphone 4s not discovering bluetooth, you hold the top button and the home button until the apple logo comes up and then let it reboot, put your bluetooth in pairing mode, and then turn on bluetooth

My new iphone 4s would not discover bluetooth. I called apple, and the guy was great!!! He told me to hold the top button and the home button together and do not let go until the apple logo came up, this would do a hard reset. Then when it reboots, you turn on your bluetooth in paring mode, and then turn on the bluetooth on your iphone 4s and it will find your bluetooth device. Simple, yet it works!!! Hope this helps those of you having the same problem I was having trying to connect your bluetooth.

I have an 2.4 Mac Book Pro. I want to wipe it clean and reinstall the Lion OS I bought from the App Store. I looked for instructions but did not find them any advice where the instructions are would be appreciated. Thanks

Boot from Recovery HD upon startup hold-down keys Command R . Until you see the Apple logo then select language:English.click the Arrow (Next)
From the OS Utility, select Disk Utility then click Macintosh HD. click the Erase tab on the right side.
Format:Mac OS Extended(Journaled)
Name:Macintosh HD
And click Erase
Once Erase process is done, close Disk Utility and select the second option in the OS Utility which is Reinstall OS. Let it run. It should take about an hour to complete, this type os installation is internet dependent so somehow the completion of the process depends on internet speed as well.

Question: how to get the adobe plug in to play a downloaded flv file ?

I want to know how to get the flv adobe plug in which i downloaded as a result abc or nbc or cbs.com i forget exactly which said i had to and also it seems to be used for playing most all videos from web such as those from utube,hulu, etc. So my question is how do i get the plug in to play any downloaded *.flv video ? The particulars on the one i have is:

Unfortuneately it has something also to do with the useless *.swf files which are apparently of no use to anything and could certainly be eliminated .
I have downloaded several freebie flv players such as bs player etc. etc. but they all have so many faults and are not suitable. Bs player does what i want but it hangs , have to go to system mgr. to get out of it sometimes , often difficult to use etc.etc. The main features is i need is to be able to make and play playlists to automatically in full screen one after the other in a specified order with NO user intervention and the ability to magnify or 'pan in' i guess they call it and change aspect ratios so that i can have full screen as if just cropping part of horizontal such as if want to view a 16/9 aspect ratio on a computer as i have with the prior standard 4/3 aspect and change a downloaded vertically stretched to a cropped instead etc.
Also it doesn't make sense to download others and take up disk space when already have the adobe - also adobe seems to be the only one that plays hulu flv's correctly - on other flv players the video and audio are way out of sync and not just by few seconds but often by a minute or more. I know there is another 'pain' way to do it which is create a *.avi or other extension with loss of clarity etc. which have done but would like to be able to just do it in real time while playing the flv file itself as for example
as bs player does.
Anyway if there is no way to get adobe to do this does anyone know of any other free flv player downloads which will do what
i want - basically playlists, magnify , pan,crop and still full screen, change aspect ratios - other than bs player ?

The plugin is what it is: a browser plugin - it cannot act as a standalone player.
To play local flv files you either need to
download/install the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
download/install Adobe Media Player http://www.adobe.com/products/mediaplayer/

Camera Raw files not opening. I've updated the latest plug-in. I've uninstalled & re-installed photoshop. Could I have removed a necessary file when cleaning up programs?

I've installed bridge and they don't open in that. I cleaned up my programs and removed a bunch of unnecessary junk, could I have removed something I needed? The camera raw files are CR2 from a Canon D6.
I've spent far too much time trying to figure this out, so any suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks, Barbara, that did the trick! I deleted the old file rather than renaming it. I was in fact trying to install 5.6.

HT3964 My iMac will not eject a CD when all the prescribed checks are completed

I have inserted a CD in the iMac superdrive, no image appears on the desktop, I cannot eject the CD using all the prescribed options.
The Mac will not shut down except by removing the power plug. Does anybody have any suggestions before I call in the "Big Guns"??

The iTunes and plug icons are telling you that the iPad is in recovery mode. Connect the iPad to the computer you normally sync with and restore the iPad. You can use your most recent backup to restore your content. If you haven't backed up your iPad then your content is lost.

In Preferences -> Global -> Editing you can choose weather right click is assignable or opens the tools box.
