Hi,
Firstly, would you please let us know following:
1. Is it a domain network or workgroup/home network.
2. Is this Windows 8 machine able to remote other machines and is this Windows Server 2008 machine able to be reached by other machines remotely?
3. What kind of User Account do you use to log on?
4. Did the issue occur previously?
Meanwhile, in the Windows Server 2008 machine, please uncheck “Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (recommended)” and try again.
Best Regards.

I had installed Oracle RAC 11g R2 in RHEL 5.3 Operating environment. I had installed my Oracle RAC with Enterprise Manager Console.
Its with the defailt port 1158. After the installation when i try to access my EM Console, i was not able to access the Database and Clusterware from EM Console.
When i access the EM console with url, I found with Startup and Perform Recovery option. But whereas my database is already startup and running.
So when i click startup its saying database is already started. Since it is a prodution environment i dont want to go with Perform recovery option.
Please tell me hw to attach files in this thread so that i can send the snap shot of the console for your reference.

As mentioned due to not having the default listener port 1521, we are facing this problem.
As meniotned i had changed the emoms.properties file and changed the port and my emctl page is opening.
But am not able to access the other parameters like ASM, Servers, Clusters etc bcoz since in some file it is looking for 1521 default port.
So is it better to go for emctl deconfig and config again or to change the port the files which required.
If i do in what are the file the default port will be located related to emctl.

Not able to access my iPhoto library from external harddrive
I get this message when I attempt to access my iphoto Library from my LeCie external hard drive. "Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable. Access time capsule remotely from windows 7 os. Please help!
I have enabled net/bios in the network prefs in windows but to no avail. It works fine from a vista os but I cannot seem to figure it out from windows 7. Will someone please help me. I cannot find it anywhere on the web. I am good at finding answers and this one has me stumped. THANK YOU!!!
The failure of the airport utility to find the TC suggests something more fundamental is wrong.
1. Use ethernet. Plug the laptop directly into the TC. Make sure you have internet connection and wireless is off.
2. In windows explorer type directly into the address bar the TC name or IP address.
\\TCname or \\TCIPaddress
If both of them fail and you still have internet access then the issue is firewall.
3. Test again with airport utility.
4. Ensure that the PC is set to home location, not work or public. Turn off all internet security, not just the firewall you can see.. as there can be another you cannot see.
5. If your laptop is setup for windows domain controller, then explain to your IT department you want to connect to peer to peer resources at home. It maybe blocked somehow. -

Not able to access a file referenced from a HTML file
Hi,
Using UCM i am checking two files aboutus.html and aboutusBanner.png in About Us FOLDER.Checkin is happening perfectly well.
Now In JDEVELOPER I am creating a webcenter application (named MyPortalApplication) and accessing those file using a connection to the UCM server.I am able to fetch the files under
Application Resouces->Connection ->Content Repository ->UCM ->Contribution Folder ->About Us
UCM I am using a connection name.
My aboutus.html file in accessing the aboutusBanner.png to display some image.
Below is code snippet for aboutus.html ...
<table align="CENTER" width="930px" BORDER=0 bgcolor="white">
<tr>
<td>
<img src="aboutusBanner.png" />
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td valign="top">
<p style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:14px">
<br>
Go Green Eat Fresh opened in 1992 by three Italian brothers with a vision:
</p>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
But when i am running the application that banner image (aboutusBanner.png) is not getting displayed.I think i am not giving the path aboutusBanner.png in aboutus.html correctly.
Please suggest me how my aboutus.html should use the aboutusBanner.png in code given above.
Thanks,
Rajeev<img src="aboutusBanner.png" />This may reference the file while it is on filesystem (most likely on a web server, must be in the same directory).
If you want to create a reference to a file in UCM (document repository), you need to do it differently. The easiest way (if your file is in Public security group) is to use html link to the file: e.g. http://{serverURL}/{instance name}/groups/public/documents/graphic/oly_088631.jpg (search for the file in UCM and copy the link from the search result dialog).
A better way is to use SSXA - see this manual http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e13650/toc.htm - when your html will be constructed from a template and the image will be defined through a placeholder (you will learn to use placeholders in Chapter 3 of the manual). Since PS3, SSXA should be usable for Webcenter pages. -
XE Client not able to access XE Server database
I have installed Oracle Database 10g Express Edition (Western European) OracleXE.exe on one Windows XP machine and Oracle Database 10g Express Client OracleXEClient.exe on onother. I have followed the instructions to set the Server to accept remote access by performing EXEC DBMS_XDB.SETLISTENERLOCALACCESS(FALSE); as SYSTEM. I can ping the machine running the XE Server (10.5.111.86) from my Client machine, yet I cannot access the remote XE Server using either http://10.5.111.86:8080/apex or from the SQL command line as connect SYSTEM/mypassword@//10.5.111.86:1521/XE. The http access ultimately yields a Page Not Found and the sql connect yields a ERROR:
ORA-12170: TNS:Connect timeout occurred.Can you telnet to it on port 8080?
Open a command prompt and type:
telnet 10.5.111.86 8080
you should see a blinking cursor. If not turn off all firewalls on the target machine and try again.

I installed FontPack Pro. I was successful in loading them into the font book. However, when I open pages and attempt to select a font, quite a number of them have an "A" with a box around the A. In the document it comes up as a box with a graphic inside. What's wrong, and how do I fix it?
They are from memory just a bucket full of cheap fonts (despite the "Pro" moniker). The lot I saw were not even OpenType and there were problems with older fonts in late versions of Snow Leopard so the problems could be anywhere from cheap and nasty fonts, to older format, to installed in the wrong location, to problems with the font cache as mentioned.

I am having problems with my yahoo mail with iPhone when ever I try to access it from 3 days I am having trouble. I get an error tht my user or password must be wrong and tht I cannot acces my mail. Even though I type and use the correct password and Id I tried deleting the account and creating it again but it didn't help..
The default way it used to work (before Mission Control) was that when a display went missing, all the Application windows on the missing display were moved toward the center of the remaining desktop, so that at least some portion of each window was visible on the main display. Then you could drag them where you liked.
If you have worked hard to configure Mission Control to give each display a separate space, and put all the Windows stuff in a space on the now-missing display, you will have to change settings in Mission Control to get the contents of that space back on the main display. -
