Not able to activate data in DSO

Hi Gurus,
We are new to BI 7 . We are trying to load data into DSO . we followed the procedure :
1)created flatfile
2)created data source, clicked on proposal tab.
3)created infoobjects(data type,length,.....)according to the proposal.
4)created infopackage and loaded the data PSA
5)created DSO with settings "activate Data target"....
6)created transformation
7)run DTP.
data is coming upto new table(data is successfully loaded till here,green), data is not moving into active table .tried both the ways of activating but no use.it is not giving any concrete error msg,it says "time out"(red).
Pls let me know if thr is any other procedure of loading daa into active table.

I put ny 2 cents here ..could be that you are running the activation job in DIALOG mode and hence timing out..
You may want to execute the activation process in BACKGROUND mode with dedicated 1 BGD process in RSODSO_SETTINGS tcode.

Not able to access data in Query

I have loaded data using DTP from 2 different source systems.
One is 3.x emulated datasource and the other is New 7.0 datasource.I have loaded data sucessfully in to DSO.Built a query on same.
But when iam executing the query by material as selection criteria.Iam not able to found data in query from one source system.The same data is available in DSO.Please needed in this regard.

After extracting data into DSO check the request whether active or not.
Check data in DSO in contents.
If is there any restrictions on info providers in Queries.
Let us know status clearly.......

Not able to activate Java even after clicking "allow and remember"

Hi,
After opening a website in Mozilla Firefox it shows "Activate Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U. This plugin has security vulnerabilities" and after clicking "allow and remember in red plugin icon in the address bar" the website closes automatically. Again after opening the same website the same problem exists - Not able to activate java.
After opening the same website in Google Chrome "Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U21 has crashed." - this message appears.
Please and Kindly help me solving this problem so that Im able to open the website.

Not able to activate Aggregate

Hi,
I am trying to maintain master data and i am getting information message.
"Attributes of characteristic ZZPREIS are locked by terminated change run 473746227".
Because of this I am not able to activate the Aggregate also.
Can anyone let me know how I can resolve this.

You will have to finish the previous change run..and then you can activate the aggregate...
go to change run monitor using transaction CHANGERUNMONI and restart the incomplete change run.

else if you know it properly then can delete the lock for aggregate in SM12(very very risky unless you know it properly) and do the activation.

usually it takes 1-2 days to the operator to receive the SMS........like me it was 2 days untill i receive the SMS......and its activated now.........try to wait for few dates........

Not able to Activate employee who is in Holland

I have an employee who is based in Holland. He has an 8830. He checked with his service and does has the enterprise plan on his phone. He is able to surf the internet. Any ideas on why he is not able to activate his blackberry with my BES

This should be unrelated to his location, so long as service is set-up correctly and the device has a data signal.
What is occuring when he attempts to activate? If it just sits at activating are Activation(etp.dat) messages being delivered to the user mailbox?
Here is a good wayto test all aspects:
1) Remove user from Bes
2)Start activation on device with User not on the BES
3)Do ETP messages get delivered to the users mailbox? If So Delete these messages and continue. If Not attempt activating the device to a different email account (hotmail, Gmail,Yahoo) If activation message appears in the second mailbox your server or customers mailbox is blocking the email for some reason. If the message is not delivered to the second email box either it is likely the device or the carrier Provisioning.
4) Re-add the user to the BES and Ativate
5) Do Activation messages stay in the Users Mail Box? If so check to see if user is saving messages to a PST
If all these check out and the issue still exist then more information would be needed to determine next steps.

Not able to activate transformations

Hi All,
I have added some of the fields in the target, and applied made some one - one transformations. but Am not able to activate the transformations, It is giving error 'ERROR WHEN RESETTING TRANSFORMATION (TRANSFORMATION ID) TO THE ACTIVE VERSION.
Error arose when activating transformations, an active version already existed before the activation.
any suggestions...

Hi,
Please verify following points to resolve the same:
(1). Check whether your mapping for defined fields at source done in transformation and it's not showing any warning/error.
(2). Check the data type and analyze the kind of data has to reach to the field in transformation from your source.
(3). Check the data type length too.
(4). If everything goes fine then you can activate the transformation.

Not Able To View Data in Web Service Model

 I m trying to view a table using web service model.
 When i write the same code for binding it to context , i m able to view its data.
 But not so while using Web Service Model(not adaptive web service model).
 The code is:

Not able to see data in Pivot table

Hi,
I have a issue with pivot table i have a column which displays values 0 and 1 and another column called month when i am placing this month column as a section and values column as a measure i am not seeing any values means i can see the month as header but instead showing 0 or 1 its showing blank columns. previously i created similar kind of table it worked but at that time values column data type is number this time its char. can anybody help me out how i can see the data in the pivot table. i already tried converting this column to number but still i am not able to see data in that values column.

Hi copter,
Place the month column in rows and value column in measure section and check if results are coming.If still it doesnt come i suppose you dint apply aggregation rules to value column.In pivot view click values column and aggregate by /select min or max or either server complex and check your results.
(I suppose your aggregation rules is default)....Correct this one and you can place it in sections as per your requirement.

Not able to see data in 0FIGL_V30 & 0FIGL_V31

Hi,
I've activated / installed standard business content for EpH3 i.e Mutltiprovider 0FIGL_M30 and entire data flow which includes reports and virtual providers 0FIGL_V30 & 0FIGL_V31.
I'm able to see data in cubes where above virtual providers read data from. here is the link from help.sap.com

Yes I've checked data in underlying cubes.
Mulitprovider is fine.
I've added Master Data for both 0GL_ACCTP and 0ACCESSTP
RFC connection is fine.
No DTP & Transformation since this is Virtual Provider based on Functional Module.
However when I debug FM for 0FIGL_V30 & 0FIGL_V31 - I see no data and thought there might be master data issue b/w 0GL_ACCOUNT & 0GLACCEXT but MD is fine.
It just not pulling data.
Is there some setting I'm missing?
FM's used for Virtual Providers are
0FIGL_V30 - RS_BCT_FIGL_SREP_DATA_GET_V30
0FIGL_V31 - RS_BCT_FIGL_SREP_DATA_GET_V31

Not able to see Data in Xcelsius 2008

Hi everyone,
My question is I am not able to see data in Xcelsius spreadsheet although I am able to connect to SAP BW and also able to see and select query but when I select Cross Tab Data in output Values it is not displaying in Xcelsius spreadsheet
System Info
Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise Trial Version SP 3.0
SAP BW 7.1 SP 6 ABAP and JAVA

Hi Rashid,
When you are using the BW conenction in Xcelsius you will not see any data in the spreadsheet at design time or at preview time.
To see the data you need to go SAP > Publish, then SAP > Launch to test the dashboard in the NetWeaver Portal as that is the only place where the data can be viewed.
