Not able to ASM instance as sysasm after upgrade?
Hi,
I have upgraded ASM instance from 10.2.0.4 to 11.1.0.6. After upgrading couldn't able to login as sysdba and ASMCMD also. but i can login as sysdba.
Please help

Not able to reset password of users after upgrading to 12.1.2
After upgrading a VISION Demo instance from 12.1.1 to 12.1.2 I am not able to change the passwords for existing users. SSO is not used.
When I go to Users form and query the user the password feild is greyedout and I get the error frm-40200 feilds is protected against update.
Everything was fine before the upgrade and the upgrade went fine without any issues.

Please mention the database version and the OS.
Can you reset the password using FNDCPASS?

Not able to see Employee type supplier after upgrade to 12.1.2
We have custom responsibility for Payables Manager, after upgrade to 12.1.2 from 11.5.10, some of the employees are not able to see the Employee Type supplier, but some employees are able to see all. I thought this maybe related to Role so I tried to add the roles that are missing from the employees that are able to see all supplier, but didn't help. Anyone know where to look at this? Not able to open web analysis reports after upgradation
we have upgraded Hyperion 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2 version, after this process we are not able to open web analysis reports
These reports are still pointing to old servers so, how to edit this database connection details in the new version??

I think we need to change the database connection details in the Web analysis.
goto file --> Edit --> browse the database connection then change the server name in the connection details.
may be this will help to resolve your issue.

Not able to set static IP address after upgrading to 8.1 from 8.0
I have a dell vostro 1014 laptop.After upgrading to 8.1 from 8.0 , i am not able to give static IP address in the Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties of my Ethernet card properties.I am getting the following error:

Does anyone knows how to troubleshoot this problem?This problem may occur due to loss of some system files while upgrading your dell vostro 1014 laptop from 8.0.to 8.1 or unsuccessful upgrade.
Try to refresh your laptop by inserting windows 8.1 installation disc.
To do this go to control panel->recovery->refresh your system without loosing any data
If you don't have any windows 8.1 installation disc just download from Microsoft website.
Make sure to choose correct architecture of your windows installation (x86 or x64) when you download. -

Hi All,
we have oracle rac database 10.2.0.3 on windows server 2003. there are 8 databases on windows server.
Its a two rac instance databases.
Every Weekend our windows team apply a maintenance patch on windows server.
However this weekend after applying the patch, All the databases started up normally.
One of the database is giving problem. whenever we try to start this database we are getting an error.

It seems from the error that something is screwed up from networking side. CRS is not able to use IPsocket and use port so please talk to your network admins and ask what patches they've applied?

Not able to start Instance in MMC
Hi,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 - Developer Edition which is a trial version on a windows xp pro virtual machine. I have installed NWDS 7.1 Composition Environment SP05 successfully.
I have installed Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 SDK.
The problem is that the two instances in MMC appears to be grey instead of green. That is why I am not able to deploy any web dynpro application. Does any body know that what steps I need to take after installing the developer edition? What about the SDM?
Earlier http://localhost:50000/ was displaying a web dynpro exception just after completion of installation of developer edition but now I am getting page cannot be displayed error.
Please help / guide. I need this envirnoment to be set up soon for practicing web dynpro.

You need to start server from MMC. Before starting please check following thing are correct or not.
- Update your server IP address and host name in host file entry at (Start > RUN > drivers > etc > host file)
- Update JAVA_HOME system enviromental variable in my computer (My computer > Priperties >> Advance >> Startup and Recovery >> Enviromental Variable >> System Variables >> Add new JAVA_HOME parameter with path for installed Java JDK)
- Check database server services (Start > Run > Services.msc > Start your database services manually and change properties as automatic)
After that please try to start your SAP Server :- open MMC >> Right Click on Server Node >> Select All Task >> Start >> Enter your Desktop userid and password. It will take 20-40 min if you are starting first time.

Not able to view catalogs in CCM after clicking on "edit catalog"
Hi all,
I am not able to view a single catalog (supplier, procurement or master) in CCM after clicking on edit catalog.
After clicking on "start" pushbutton, it is giving warning message "Error while editing Master catalog"
Could anybody tell me, what would be the problem ??

but this problem is only for my user ID and not for all other user ID.
when we tried with other user IDs, all the catalogs are in green state and working fine. For my ID I am not able to view any catalog into edit catalog screen. When I am trying to search any catalog it is giving me warning message "Error in master catalog". When checked in SLG1 I got error as "catalog (catalog name) not found".
Is it related to any user setting or like that... as this is the issue with my individual ID.
Please suggest.
