Not able to change an existing document in cv02n

Hi Freinds.
Greetings.
I am new in SAP DMS.I have created one document type ZTS and based on that i creted one test Document using Tcode CV01n, The internal No. range is assigned for this document type.
Now i am trying to change this document using CV02n Tcode.but it is showing error message"Function "" not possible if network address is "DEFAULT" ". i dont understand why this message is coming?
"As the variable "hostname" is not set for your frontend computer, you cannot use this function.".
could you plz tell me from where i can set "hostname for my front-end computer"?
Do i need one separate storage for storing DMS documnets, or i can store these documents in SAP R/3 system itself? what is the configuration step for storing the documents in SAP R/3 itself?
what is data carrier type ? plz explain.

Hi,
goto DC20-->double click on Define data carrier type "server, front end" , check whether data carrier type PC is present on right hand side screen.
if its thr, select PC and double click on Identify frontend computers, on right hand screen click on default..
Data Carriers as name itself indicates are the devices used to hold the data, these may be either frontend computer, servers, network or any other storage device..

What is the error you receive? Please specify with message number.
On MIGO, you need to change the default value mvmt type value to 103 before you enter the PO number to be able to do 103.
Once this defualt value is set, you can enter the PO and item number in the document number fields and proceed with 103.
But you cannot change the mvmt type for already entered items from 101-103 or vice versa.
I think the 101-103 and 103-101 mvmt type conversion message is standard error message

Not able to attach final signed document in the contract document

Dear Experts,
The upload field for final signed document in the contract document is visible only for the latest/last contract document if there are more than one contract document exist in the Master Agreement.
For the previous contract documents, not able to attach final signed document (i.e) the upload field is invisible.This scenario is occuring only in few master agreements, mostly found in Legacy agreement types.But for newly created legacy agreements this scenario is not occuring.Please help me in finding out why the upload field is visible only for the last/latest and not for the previous ones.

Buyer not able to change fields of SC in sourcing cockpit in SRM 7.0

We are on SRM 7.0 , SP 07 . We are in classic mode.
Buyer is not able to change fields of shopping cart in sourcing cockpit like delivery date and quantity . He is able to add supplier and create PO . Even when he creates draft PO , he is not able to edit the fields of shopping cart like delivery date and quantity. Is it a standard Bug , is their any OSS SAP Note for this

As per SAP Standard BUYER can only vendor and Enter price and create a follow on document.
Buyer does not have a control to edit other data.
Buyer wants to they can do it in ME21N ..PO
not in the shopping cart

Action not possible because change version exist

Dear All,
We are at SRM5.0- Extended Classic scenario and facing issues for changing some of the PO documents.
When the buyers are trying to change the PO, error is getting populated as 'Action not possible because change version exist'. This error is not allowing us to change the PO.
These POs are changed in the past and all the relevant changes are reflected to backend system with no issues. In other words Change Versions do exists for these POs. Flags for Change Version completion is also set and all historical versions can be seen but without change history.
Additional information -
1. No approval workflows are implemented for PO.
2. No locks are active for these documents.

well, actually the active change version won't be preserved in any case. It would be overwritten in the first scenario, and deleted in the second one. The reason why I'd like to have this "brute force" method is to face an eventual human error. Suppose that a disalignment between R3 and SRM has been created; my report basically "alligns" the SRM version to the corresponding R3 one. And suppose also that the user made a mistake so that the program must be used a second time. I'd like to provide a way to "UNDO" the first execution of the program, that is to say: i'd like to provide a way to OVERWRITE the actual active, change version, or alternatively delete the change version that the report did create the first time it has been launched.

Not able to change the password using FNDCPASS

I am not able to change password using FNDCPASS. I am getting follwoing error while executing following command with APPLMGR user ( before that I have source the .env file ) (OS-Linux)

Not able to Change or delete Query

Hi,
I have query designed on a cube . I was able to Change the query before I Transported cube to QA . While Transporting I didn't transport the query to QA . But now I am not able to change or delete the query . Could anybody advice how can i correct this error.
Error it shows when i try to change it or delete is
"BEx transport request is not available or not suitable "
and " choose an existing request " .

Hi,
First of all , Mr Paolo steps and the steps mentioned in the provided link are same. these steps are used to create a request( transport request) which will be used to take a care of modification or deletions of already <b>imported queries</b> to QA or PROD.
Lets assume you have one query in production. So how will you handle modifications(and moving of these modifications to PROD) to be done in Dev system?
This will be handled by the request which is created by the steps explained by our prevoius postings.
Even in case of deletion also. It is not recommendable to delete the query directly in PROD. So how can acheive this? To delete it in prod , first of all we delete it in DEV ,so that the Request which is created by the steps explained by our prevoius postings,will take care of deletion information.

Not able to change status after creating revision

Hi All,
I am not able to change status of the document after creating revision.
Here are the steps I am doing:
Set
- I assign the change number to the document.
- Now, I open the document in cv02n and change the status.
- New revision is created with revision level 01.
Now I want to change the status of the document to the next status according to status network but its not happening. Would you please provide your valuable suggestions.

Hi Vidit,
based on your description I've tested the behaviour on our test system and I would kindly tell you that the behaviour you are facing is the standard. The mentioned error message are raised because, since the Change Order is released, the DIR remains locked and you will not be able to make any changes to the DIR, including the status.If this DIR was not associated to the Change Order(which is released),you could have made changes to the document status.
Please note that status change with 'Change Master Without Release Key' is possible to change the status but with 'Engineering Change Order with Release Key' it's not. I hope this information will help you.

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me wit the following problem: My profile says im registered in France (?). I am not able to change this as the country box in my profile is greyed out. I also tried to reset my payment details, but it didn't work. I don't use VPN/Proxy/whatsoever and I am not in France; haven't been since Spotify exists. I wrote spotify a message and replied to their no-reply email two days ago but still haven't heard back from them. It's kind of urgent as I'm going on vacation tomorrow and want to connect my wife to our family account. Is there any fast solution to this issue? Thanks a lot to everyone!

Not sure what's with this. Double tap the home button hold down on the camera app and hit the minus sign, then try opening the camera app again.
Or try a reset hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

How do I change the country for my iTunes account? I had purchased some itunes gift cards and i have about .75USD left in it. I am not able to change the country because i have to clear the account balance. there is any way I could spend that money???

I would like to change my country from US to Thailand in the iTunes Account. I purchased some iTunes gift card to purchase some apps and since ever i was not able to change my account balance to 0.00USD which is needed in case I want to change my account country.
