Not able to connect to wifi wpa2 networks in lenovo vibe x2. It displayed saved.but not connecting. It connects to open and WEP wifi networks. Please help
Are you trying to connect to a 2.4GHz or a 5GHz network?
What encryption is your router set to use : AES,TKIP/AES,..?
Have you tried to unplug the router from the power source for 2-3 minutes->Plug it back in-> Wait until it establishes an Internet connection-> Try to recreate the phone connection.

Hi, I have an iPad that is not able to connect to any of the Cisco wireless access points at work. The iPad is on the latest iOS 5.0.1. I did a reset on the iPad and erased all content and settings. The wireless network I'm trying to connect uses WPA2 Enterprise encryption. I'm able to connect to a Verizon mifi device so I know wireless is working. It seems like it's just not getting the certificate. I'm able to connect to our wireless network from other iPads just fine except for this one device. Not able to connect to wi-fi networks
Two months ago I bought an iPad mini, I brought it home and the wi-fi worked juts fine, until last week. I went on vacation and the first day at the hotel the wi-fi worked, the next day out of the blue the wi-fi was not working, my computer was and my iphone was too. My ipad didn't work for the rest of the week, which was highly annoying. I got home yesterday and my iPad is still not working with my wi-fi, when it used to worked just fine. what should I do????
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Not able to connect to wifi using iPhone 4 with OS5, sees the network but won't connect.
Recently upgraded my iPhone 4 to the OS5 and I keep having sporadic issues with connecting to my home wifi, it sees the network but never connects. I turned of Location Services and Cellular Data for that had worked sometimes, but now it just keeps spining and never connects. I tried to reset network settings, reset my wifi router and reset my phone and nothing, it will connect at my church for example and other places but not at home. I have MAC addressing security set on my router and I verified my iPhone MAC address is authorized. Any other suggestions?
Try restarting your router first, turn it off for a minute then back on. then go to settings on your phone, then wifi, tap on the blue arrow to the right of your wifi 's name, then tap forget this network. Then go to the home screen, Then hold the home and off button down until the apple symbol comes up. Then go back into wifi and try to connect.

HP C4780 - not able to connect to wifi

My printer (HP C4780) doesn't seem to try to connect to anything while running configuration software. I tried to follow the procedure of restarting it (removing power cords waiting - I gave it whole night off).
I have full details of my wifi network because I configured it by myself, it's standard WPA wifi, I tried to chaning channel to 11 to help software to find the printer but none of this worked.
I downloaded the newest drivers from HP site for Mac and PC ( I have access to both , tried on both same result ).
Printer is able to print if I configure it to use USB only (I wanted it to by wifi but it never worked), but after uninstaling everything and trying to install again with wifi it asks to connect to USB at some point - so I did it, it finds the printer without problems and then it goes to network setup wizard and it doesn't find any networks - I put my SSID manually and when I hit next it says the printer must be connected to USB (it's connected I even tried to take a break and restart it at this point ).
Also the screen on printer always shows HP logo and progress bar that slides to infinity - I left it for 3 hours and still like this. No amount of restarts helps. But if you connect it to USB system can see the printer. Not sure if that's how it's supposed to work, the only time it was different was when I first turn it on and when through the setup procedure (setting language, cartridges and so on).
Let me know what to do - seriously restarts won't do...

JedrzejWould you be kind enough to help our effort here in HP to understand this failure? We have seen a rash of C47XX printers lock up on network installs with the HP logo on the front panel. We have not yet found a solution to the problem.
It would help us immensely if you could let me know the serial number and firmware revision of your printer. Both of these will be on a Network Config Test that is printed from the front panel of the printer (Setup [Scan] > Network).

This problem suddenly started at the office I work at with on their wireless network. I have made no changes to anything system-wise. Yesterday it began with alternating between picking up the network, with full signal but no actual connection, or having to manually connect w/password and getting "server timeout" or "connection failure" problem. There are no firewalls or proxies that anyone here knows of, and again, the problem just suddenly started happening out of nowhere.
This morning booted up and picked it was fine again for 10 minutes, then same problem again, it cut out. Tried various superficial things(turning Airport on/off, manually trying to connect) then rebooted and now it is connecting again. Who knows for how long.
I had a similar problem with Airport (I am assuming for now the problem is Aiport) on a previous MBPro, randomly not "working," and now the same, but only with certain networks.
I haven't the foggiest idea how to troublehoot this, and there isn't really an IT person here (outside consultant-$, and all Windows people anyway). Ok, well if you're sure that there are shared folders on your PC's, then try this:
Click somewhere on desktop, so you're in finder > Go > Connect to Server (shortcut to all of this is Command + K) then type in: smb://ipaddresshere
eg:
smb://192.168.1.7
Then either connect as guest, or login with the PC's (not your mac's) username & password. -

192 is local address within your network.
Unless the adddress is of a server that can reolve URL names to ip addresses you wont be able to load an external web page.
You can check what it should be by checking your router status page.
Or if you have an iOS device check under settings, W-Fi, select the network your attched to, then see what is next to DNS.

My iphone 4S is not able to connect to my home wifi network (BSNL). It does detect it and even tries to connect to it but in vain. However, it connects to all other available networks easily. Another interesting thing is that all other devices including an iphone 4 easily connects to this home network. So what is the problem with iphone 4S???
There are two ends to a wireless network. Try rebooting your router. Just pull the power for a few seconds and replug. No settings are lost.
(The fact that all your other devices connect to the internet is irrelevant) -
