Not able to delete File from Repository

I try to delete a Folder with some files but it fails with a Error telling that my version is older then the one in the Repository.
It says "The latest Version id: 8. Your inactive version id: 6"
I just want to remove it completely.
I am not sure how it happened, but I guess it happend because two Persons used the same User to logon to Hana and work on it.
Any suggestion?

It does not help anything.
I Choose CheckOut for the Project
Then I look on the File History of the File.
I still see there Version 7 in my History, but as mentioned before the Server Version is 8
Trying to delete it then fails with the same Error.
If I try to Checkout the File only then I get a dialog "Forced Checkout" (remote version was changed since last change: ...".
I say yes to "run forced checkout to overwrite changes".
Still no success.

How is your HDD formatted? NTFS? FAT?
Did you write files with rights? When you strike +I on any file, you can see its rights; if you're read-only, you may change your file's rights.

Not able to delete files from desktop

I have a mid 2009 Macbook Pro Model running Mac OS X Lion... I am unable to delete some files from my desktop..One is an image file and other is an application.. I checked that i have read/write privileges,I am the admin and the files are not locked...
When I try to delete the files, it asks me for my admin password, I type the password correctly, then it makes a characteristic sound indicating the deletion process but does not delete the file!!

Repairing the permissions of a home folder in Lion is a complicated procedure. I don’t know of a simpler one that always works.
Launch the Terminal application by entering the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Drag or copy -- do not type -- the following line into the window, then press return:
chmod -R -N ~
If you get an error message about permissions, enter this:
sudo !!
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
Next, boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

Not able to delete emails from Shared mailbox

Hello Team,
I have a mailbox which is shared. User A is having access on that mailbox.
I have added That mailbox as additional Mailbox. when i click on delete button or right click delete i am not able to delete that messages and from any folder.
I have configured User A profile on multiple system and in each and every system i am not able to delete emails
I am using O365 business plan and my Outlook is professional plus with latest update
I removed the mailbox which is shared and added that account as Multi Ex so i am able to delete it
I am running scripts in background so i dont want to add that mailbox as Multi Ex(By going into account settings and adding new email with credentials)
I have given full access to User A on that mailbox on the portal. I removed the access and then re added the access and then also i am not able to delete emails
I have tried safe mode
I have tried online mode
I have tried cached mode
I have tried Right clicking folder for example Inbox and given User A as owner permission from outlook.
I have done the same method of giving permission from OWA
If i open Mailbox in OWA by logging in Using User A and then clicking another user's mailbox and opening mailbox which is shared and i am able to delete emails there.

Exchange doesn't do that. POP3 is a single mailbox client mail retrieval protocol, not a mail transport protocol.
Any attempt to use it as a mail transport protocol is a great big kludge.
Exchange is designed to connect to the Internet using SMTP.
Small Business Server includes a POP mail puller, but I don't recommend it because, again, it's a great big kludge.

Not able to get file from application server with read dataset

Firstly i download a file from application server from read data set and then i sent this file as attachment. But problem is that i am able to send .jpg .bmp file but i am not able to send .pdf or .doc file so what can i do for that. ?

Not able to access files from Workspace Images and Static files

Hi,
We have just migrated our APEX Application from one server to another.
All the functionality is working fine except the images or files which we are uploading
in
Shared Components -> Static Files
Shared Components -> Images
We are uloading Images in Shared Components -> Images but those are not getting displayed there.
Similarly the files which we are uploaded in Shared Components -> Static Files are not accessible. If we
try to download using download icon its showing blank screen.
I am using some javascript files which i have uploaded into static files, but not able to refer them in page.
Please someone guide us how to resolve the above problem.

Hello Sanjay,
If you upload any static files such as IMAGES, FILES, or CSS you have to use the tags: #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# or #IMAGE_PREFIX# depending on your files location..
then try something like htp.p ('<img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#fileName.gif" />');
And it should show the fileName.gif on your browser...
I am not sure if i remember correctly, you can reference files to a specific application or to the whole application, if I am not mistaken..Correct me..

Compressor opens but am not able to transfer files from FCP studio?

Help! I have tried installing FCP Studio (6.02) 2 to 3 times. I have tried removing Compressor from the Applications list under the library preferences.
When I open Final Cut and highlight the sequence and then send to to Compressor, I see the Compressor title open up at the top but my files do not appear. I don't know if its corrupt or if there is a reset to cause all the windows to appear. I am able to use the drop down list to make the inspector and other windows appear but cannot find my files.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

That signals a problem with QMaster, which is most likely something you didn't remove prior to your reinstall. Apple published a document to help troubleshoot this problem, which has been linked to numerous times on this forum.

I'm not able to move files from my mac to my hard drive, but i can move files from my hard drive to my Mac. Would really like to make more room on my mac-any suggestions to get these files onto the hard drive?

When i plug my external hard drive into my mac i'm able to see all the files on it and move files off the hard drive to the mac, but not the other way around. I need to make more room on my mac and would really like these files to be on this particular external hard drive. Any help would be great!

Thank you all. Sounds like i might as well buy a new (mac OS supported) external hard drive. Not worth the hassle/risk of taking all the old files off my current external HD.

User are not able to attach files from sharepoint to Email (they become links)

Hi,
We have a couple of users that can't drag and drop the documents in sharepoint to outlook to send the files as attachment. Instead they become links. They are using IE 9 and 8. This happens both in the search module and from a file library.
Any ideas what could be wrong? we only have a couple of users that have this issue. It seems to be working for other people.

Two things for sure.
In Internet Explorer Options the site must be trusted.
Select the Security Tab
Next Select "Local Intranet" and press the "Sites" button
Add your site to the trusted list.
Next,
In the "Security level for this zone"
Select the "Custom Level button"
Find "Initialize and script Active X controls not marked as safe for scripting" and enable the setting.
That should do it.

Bought today a iMac and not able to transfer files from old pc

Today we just bought a new i mac and I am having trouble with trying to transfer files etc from old pc. the imac is saying its looking for the pc but never finds it I did put the transer program on the old system and its saying its waiting to be contacted by the i mac. thanks in advance. Phil.

I am not able to delete my files. When I delete file It ask me for password, and then It delete from system but hard does not show any free space that must be created when I delete some file. Please help me.

After deleting ,no data is going trash.
I am getting this problem from 3 three days. Rebooting system is not working. It seems like that when I delete file its move to some other location.

Delete file from folder only (not from list)

I've searched a lot and didn't succeed so far, that's why I need your help. In a cloud context, I'm actually creating and uploading files (pdf and/or xml files) "on the go" to sharepoint folders via the SOAP API and this is perfectly working. But
in a cloud context, I also need to decomission services which is translated into deleting files into Sharepoint.
That's where it became complicated, because according to the API we cannot delete files if they are not part of a list structure, which is not my case. Is that true ?
The only info I have when trying to delete a file via the SOAP Api is : its name, its folder, and the endpoint where the folder is. So my question remains simple I guess : is this possible ? If so, how to (a link to the SOAP body would be usefull)

Script to make 'delete' file from system and not just library svp.

I would like something, possibly a script, to replace the delete option in iTunes so that a file deleted from within iTunes is actually deleted from the HDD. I have downloaded a script that can do this but the option ad to be called from the script menu and was not convenient, so I am looking for a way to amend or replace the menu option to achieve this in a natural fashion.

which is nice and informative. What I have found is that in order to delete files natively from within iTunes the default settings of keeping your music files in the iTunes music folder (which can be modified to another directory in iTune's preferences) must be left untouched. This is because iTunes will only delete files from the HDD if they reside in the music folder iTunes refences to. Its a nice structured system that iTunes itself keeps organised so its the better option, as oposed to having files everywhere.
In order to reset the iTunes dialog messages, the file "com.apple.iTunes.plist" in the "~/Library/Preferences/" dir must be deleted - which resets everything, as the documentation suggests you will know because the copyright agreement will launch when iTunes is started. Please make sure iTunes is off before deleting the file. The documentation also suggests deleting another file but I didn't do this and it worked for me.
However the ability to delete movies from the HDD is not an option from within iTunes, I suggest finding a script that will move all movies in a certain playlist to the recycle bin folder

One way of saving your sms conversations so that you can then delete them from your iPad would be to back up the contents of your iPad using either iTunes or iCloud. See these articles -
