Not able to edit fileds in java based tools after upversioning to 1.7.0_06.

Hello experts,
In our project, we use one java based tool(not mentioning the name because it is project specific).
We recenlty upversioned our java version from 1.6.0_29 to 1.7.0_06. After upversioning the java, our java based tool is not functioning properly. Few fileds became non-editable. The issue is coming when only xlaunch is used to connect to the lab. That too issue is coming when multiple windows are selected in xlaunch. If I use single-window option then the tool works fine. The tool also works fine if I directly launch it from exceed/xterm(not from xlaunch). Hence the problem is coming with the combination of jre 1.7.0_06 and xlaunch(multiple windows).
Can anyone kindly help me how to rectify this problem..

Are you using any operating system? To my experience buttons and fields in java can conflict with fancy windowing settings, such as 3D visual effects, etc. I suggest to disable anything related on your client system.

Hi Anurag,
You may try using the following role:
"SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE"
If not worked, then go to:
-> Exchange Profile -> Integration Builder -> 'com.sap.aii.util.server.auth.activation'
You need to switch the value to "false", save the changes, and restart
the J2EE Engine. You should then be able to modify objects again.
Last, by default, SAP ships the role "XIREP_UNRESTRICTED" which allows users
to edit all the objects in the integration builder. You may use this.
The following are the steps to use this role :
1. Start the AS Java Identity Management
2. Choose Identity Management.
3. Search for XiRep_Unrestricted and select it.
4. Choose Assigned Groups/users and then choose Modify.
5. Search for the relevant user groups/user name
6. Add this role to user and choose save.
Also, please check the other thread I answered and use that note to import
the ESR content. It may be missing and could be the cause as well.

Not able to edit the lov of an object in a universe

Hi,
I am not able to edit the lov of an object in a universe.
The universe(XI3) is based on stored procedure but it also contains tables from database.
The object points to the table which is not a stored procedure, any idea why we are not able to edit its lovs.

SSRS 2012 some users are not able to edit reports in the server

Hello All,
I am install reporting services SharePoint native mode but some users are not able to edit reports on server error is "Application cannot be started contact your application vendor" but this users edit reports on their client machine
using report builder 3.0.

Because Report Builder in the Report Manager is a ClickOnce application, the error message means that one or more of the files listed in the application manifest cannot be found on the server, so the application cannot be started. Based on my research, frequently
this means that the application is somehow corrupted, or that the ClickOnce store is corrupted.
To fix this issue, we can try to refer to the following steps:
If Report Builder is corrupted, we can update the Reporting Services to repair this.
Check that the Report Builder application is existing
Open the Report Server folder. By default, the folder is located in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.<X>\Reporting Services\ReportServer\ReportBuilder
Make sure the file "ReportBuilder.application" is existing in the folder mentioned above.
If it is existing, please use the following URL to access the Report Builder directly:
http://<server>/ReportServer/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder.application
And this issue can also be caused by browser. Because not all report functionality is supported by all browsers in Reporting Services. So please use IE browser to start Report Builder to try it again.

Not able to edit the report created on different data source.....

I have a query regarding Report in OBIEE - reports developed from BI Publisher are specific to data source on which they have been created ??
i have a sample report that was created on different data source, i have the corresponding RPD also. I changed the data source according to my DB and when i try to update/edit the report,
on Analytics for adding a new column, it is generating a seperate new Query from QueryBuilder for that additional cloumn rather than adding up the new query with the previous one(existing report query). Is it because of mismatch of data source on which report had been created and on which it is being update ?? if it is the case, where do i need to make changes related to JDBC connection or others ??
when i try to create a new sample data set and try to update it, it adds up the extra edited things to original query and works perfectly fine. can ny 1 help me for the same ??

Normally,what we do is once we provide access to webi users group for each user from BO supervisor module, user(s) will able to refresh/edit the existing report from Full client BO.His colleagues have had no problem editing all his reports from their machines but he is not able to edit any report from his machine and BO is getting freeze.
He also reinstalled BO and cleaned out everything on his Computer and re-built it but the issue is not yet resolved
Can you please tell me how to resolve this issue

Not able to edit the report from BO 5.1

Hi,
User has Business Objects 5.1 version on his machine and he is able to login to Business Objects 5.1.2 and can also open the BO reports from the required path
When he edit the report, the BO is gettng hung and following errors occured one by one when he clicks ok button
error1: "you must close this universe(name of universe) before importing it"
when he clicks OK button on this error, second error is received
error2: "Some obsolete objects have been removed from the query. (QP0027)"
When he clicks OK button on this error, third error is received
error3:"A connection required to refresh this document is unavailable(DA0004)"
I am not understanding why these three errors are receiving one by one.Please tell me how to resolve above errors and edit the report

Not able to edit the value options in LKM

I have recently upgraded to ODI 11g .
In that we are not able to edit the value options in LKM.
(i.e.. editor window is not appearing, not able to edit the text.

We were using JDK1.6.0_29 and it was not supporting ODI 11.1.1.5, so we have uninstalled the JDK1.6.0_29 and reinstall the JDK1.6.0_11.This solves our issue.

In SharePoint 2013, some of the userswith contribute or full control rights are not able to edit and save office doucuments to SharePoint library.

In SharePoint 2013, Office 2010 and IE 8. Office web apps is not configured.
Some users with Contribute or full control are not able to edit and save documents back to SharePoint library.
When they try to save they are getting following error:
1. https://.....pptx is read-only. Do you want to save changes to a different file name?
2. Project canot access "https://...."
Try one of the following
The file may be temporarily open by another program. wait a momoment and try again.
A file with the same name may already exists. Save it with a different file name.
You may be trying to save to a read only folder. Save to a different folder instead.
Please help me with this issue.

I have requested users who are having this issue to try check in/ check out, and share the results.
Result with CheckIn/CheckOut:
User was able to check out but no edit option.
'Edit Document' option under 'Files' tab was greyed out. I did check permissions every thing seems fine he has full control over the site and document library.

Not able to edit membership of universal security groups

I’m not able to edit membership of My Universal security groups using outlook, when I add/remove members it shows the error
“Changes to the public group membership can’t be saved. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object”
I've already assigned the RBAC role “Security Group Creation and Membership” to a security group and the user who is editing the group is the member of this role group. I’ve also tried to assign the role directly to user, but it also did not work.
Exchange 2010, Outlook 2010.
Could someone please suggest me on this.

Not able to edit event names in iCal

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I am not able to edit event names in iCal once they are created. I am able to edit all other items in the event, but not name. I have tried double clicking, using the inspector, etc. to no avail. Any ideas?

I tried getting rid of duplicates in FontBook. I tried deleteing the iCal.plist file and restarting my mac. Nothing works. I can not edit any entry in any way except to drag it to a new place. I also can't open iCal Preferences. I have iCal 4.0.1 - is that the current version?

Dimension 1 Cost centre field is not able to edit in Incoming payment for Down payment Request

I am facing an issue on selecting Cost centres in Incoming payment screen.
Issue: While I am booking the payment entry for Down payment request, I am not able to select first Dimension cost centre in Incoming payment rows for down payment request document, the Second dimension is able to select and update. the field is in non-editable mode (only on specific document row)
Setup:
1. Two Dimension are enabled
2. In Separate Columns - Both Cost Centres are in separate column
The above issue is only for Down payment request, for other documents (Invoice) I am able to select and update cost centre

Yes agree, The Down Payment request is not a financial document but the Cost centres are able to select in Down payment request rows, no issue at all in this case.
In Incoming payment screen it is necessary to select Cost centres because it has financial implication using down payment request with related to currency difference or Bank charges (both are Expense accounts) and DR assignment is mandatory in this case.
And you have to notice one thing in above issue, I am able to select second dimension cost centre and it is allowing to edit and update the cost centre on respective row. Only issue is specific cell (dimension 1 cost centre) is not able to edit.
Even I am not able to process payment entry without selection of Cost Centre on first dimension, the system is blocking and displaying the error message "DR Assignment is mandatory on Dimension 1 for specific account"

RH 9 - Not able to edit project settings (styles)

Hi.
Once I import my FM 9 files I'm not able to edit my project settings via the Project Settings dialog. I can access the dialog, but when I try to edit the Style settings, none of the current style settings display. I followed the directions in Online Help and it did not indicate that this could not be done with imported documents as opposed to linked documents. Could that be the reason why?

While importing a FM document, the style settings can be done through import wizard. Following steps may be followed.
1. Click File->Import->FrameMaker Document menu item.
2. "Import File" dialog opens. Browse and select the desried FrameMaker document.
3. "Content Settings" dialog appears. Do any TOC/Index/Glossary related setting if required. Click Next.
4. Click "Edit" button.
5. "Conversion Settings" dialog opens where style related settings can be done. The dialog will show all the styles of the FrameMaker document being imported currently.
This way style settings can be done for FrameMaker document being imported.
The "Conversion Settings" dialog opened through "Project Settings" dialog displays the styles of all the linked documents and not of imported document. However, if some settings are done for a linked document, those settings are available by default for all the FM documents being imported in the project.
I hope this resolves the issue.

Not able to edit service ticket (complaint) in CRM

Hi,
The service ticket (complaint) in CRM has been replicated to R/3 as credit memo request, but the document in CRM is not able to edit. The error message is " Document is being processed, not possible to edit".
I checked in SMW01, those tickets are unprocessed status, tried to reprocess but not to edit the document. Also tried to manully send to R/3 using toolbox transacton but no luck. I tried to push stucked queues in CRM but not moving.
Pls suggest me what is the way to reprocess the stucked BDoc in CRM.

Hi Sandeep,
This happens when the document is distributed to ERP Systems. There are certain Item Categories that are sent to ERP System and only once the confirmations comes from those system you can further process those document.
You won't find any errors there.
You can check the BDOC Entries and then can find the target system where the document was distributed. And then logon onto that system and release that document.

i can modify now my code but when i have created the track i have given my development server details under runtime. But i chaned that once QA1 by mistake and later relized then again reverted back to development.
so in this case do i need to import/check-in all software component again in my track?
Now i am having the original system details.(that i gave at the time of track creation and import ESS).

I am having exactly the same problem with the same stack trace. Has anybody have an idea how to fix this?
I have downloaded the Java Identity Management Suite.(java_es-5-identsuite-ga-windows-x86.zip) The first time installation was fine and I was able to bring the Access Manager console. I was able to create users groups etc.
However, when I uninstalled and installed it again, I got exactly the same error described in the thread. Running "amserver start" and "amserver restart" did not help. I did the installation one more time
but again I got the same error.
