Not able to firewire capture..

Recently in my schools tv lab, our cameras firewire out in the cameras has seemed to malfunction or break. None of the computers will reconize the cameras input. We have tried both apple, and PC? Could this be just a big fluke, or is there something were doing wrong. Either way, we lost our last camera, and our publicly funded high school tv lab, has no way of capturing any video at all.

HOT SWAP...pulling the plug while the device is connected and powered on. Big no no. Drives you can unmount, cameras, turn off...THEN disconnect. Even then people are paranoid and say only disconnect when all devices, even the computer, are off.
Just a quick hunch...upgrade to quicktime 7 or Tiger lately?

I have imported a schema successfully and can see the sequences that I captured when I try to synchronize with the database (they are listed as items).
However if I wanted to create a NEW sequence or modify the starting number I am unable to expand the Relational Model to make changes/adjustments. I could not find any property or preference that would display sequences.
I tried but could not add screen shot of the current expanded. So I typed below what I have currently.

Thank you Kent. I misunderstood your response. I need to right click on the Oracle Database 11g under the Physical Models and select the OPEN. It is surprising that you need to open it each time you use that part of the repository.

i am trying to capture from Sony HDV 1080i VTR FCP giving an error of not able to initialize. I am not able to capture the content in DV mode. i am using a Firewire 800 to 400 converter and a 6 pin firewire cable to connect to the SonyHDV VTR. Please suggest me how do i do this.

The 800-400 converter plugs have proved a problem for this. What version of the software are you using. It sounds like an older version of FCP, if so you should ask your question on the Final Cut Studio forum.

Not able to capture button event in extended controller

I am not able to capture the button event (of seeded controller) in extended controller.

Not able to capture button event in pageLayout Controller

Hi Guys,
I have the following layout
pageLayout ------------------------ pageLayoutCO (controller)
----messageComponentLayout (Region)
----------messageComponentText (item)
----------messageComponentText (item)
----------messageComponentText (item)
----------messageLayout (Region)
----------------header(Region)
----------------------button (item) (say BTN1) (fires partial action)
I am not able to capture the event fired by the button BTN1 in the controller of the pagelayout..... but if i set a controller at the messageComponentLayout iam able to capture the event.
what should i do in order to capture the button event in the pageLayout Controller

Tom,
Two things:
1)The button ur using is of type submitbutton or button?.In this scenario it should be button.
2)The correct coding practice is using:
if("QUERY".equals(pageContext.getParameter(OAWebBeanConstants.EVENT_PARAM)))
instead of
String _event = pageContext.getParameter("event");
if("QUERY".equals(_event))
because you never know if Oracle in any upgrade or patch change the value of the constant EVENT_PARAM in class OAWebBeanConstants.
3)If first point is followed by you, just match the exact event name in code and in property inspector for the button.

Routine: 356 to be assigned in Alt Caluculation type column of pricing procedure maintainance, which will pick the Excise invoice created at the time of MIGO @ Depot. ( it will read Table:J_1IRG23D)

I've problem with the internal hd of my Imac. The option is to change de HD or to use an external HD to boot from.
At the Apple store they showed me the possibility to use a firewire HD to install and run the system on my mac . I already had a firewire HD , a WD my passport studio, but I'install easoly the operative system on the HD connected by a firewire but when I need to reboot the system doen't recognize any operative system. If I reboot using the USB is OK but not with the firewire ... so I can install OSX on a firewire but I'm not able to boot using the same connection , I have to switch to USB... Somebody can help me? I read something about some problems that Snow Leopard have with firewire ... maybe using lion can be better?

Not able to start video capture

Hello, I have a Motorola Droid Ultra and ever since the android kit-kat update my phone is unable to record videos. Which effects my apps (ex. SnapChat , Instagram , Facebook) from recording.Whenever I try to record it say's "Not able to start video capture". I am able to take pictures by the way.
P.S. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That sounds like the camera bug, I think these phones were hit with in one of the updates, my Droid Maxx has been immune of it, because I've kept it on Jelly Bean I don't have the camera features that many have with K.Kat but until I see allot of improvement and no issues.. I'll keep her on Jelly Bean.. Sorry your having this issues.. it's the berries when you have to deal with issues as we've seen..

Not able to get ECS & S&H value while capture J1IEX.

I was trying to capture excise through tax code - Eg:- 1A(BED- 10%, ECS-2%, & S&H-1% & VAT-4%). All the value flow in PO but not while capturing it in J1IEX only BED flow, ECS & S&H is not flowing. For the same Tax Code in other Plant & material its capturing all the duty (Depot plant & non-cenvatable). I have checked all the entries in J1ID but not able to fine the Problem for (Manf. Plant - Raw Material).

What should be considered for excise flow for manufacturing?
In Manf. Plant - BED - OK, ECS - Not flowing, & S&H - Not flowing.

Satellite P300-19P not able to capture audio using Chicony Cam software

Hey,
I recently upgraded to windows 7 from vista and since then i have not been able to capture audio with the camera assistant software.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing the program, changing the audio settings, running in compatibility mode, i have practically exhausted everything i can think of.
Can anybody help at all?

You mean you are not able to record the audio using the internal microphone.
Is it right?
In your case I would recommend checking the audio device settings inside the camsoftware.
In settings -> audio tab (last tab) you will find the necessary settings.
The audio device field should contain the microphone (2 Realtek high definition device) and the audio volume option should be set to max (to right).

I have enabled both the traces 1204 and 1222 in sql server 2008 but not able to capture deadlocks

In Application error:

Why am I not able to mark "in" and "out" points in Final Cut Pro 6?

I have a bunch of old tapes that I am trying to put on my computer. I have Final Cut Pro 6 and everything hooks up nicely except I am not able to mark in and out points or use capture now. Does anyone out there know why that would be the case?
I appreciate any help I can get.

Notification mailer is not able to send mails to Outside domain i.e gmail

We are in 12.1.3 EBS application with 11.1.0.7 DB on Aix 64 bit platform:
resently we configured notification mailer with out any issues
But the issue is notifications are delivered to with in the domain itself but not to outside the domain i.e gmail and yahoo
SMTP server host name is owa.craftsmanautomation.com the same we used to configure the Notification mailer
Even we verified from os level using telnet utility as follows:
