Not able to hear anything when I make calls..after upgrading

After upgrading to software version 3.1.3, I can not hear anything when I make calls.. Only able to speak through speaker option. Can anybody help...?

Also, try these steps in this order.
Toggle Airplane mode off then on. Leave off for at least 10 secs
Toggle 3G Mode off then on. Leave off for at least 10 secs.
Power phone off and then on.
Remove and replace SIM card.
Those will fix that issue the majority of the time. If not, you'll need to restore the phone.

It sounds like you arent hearing anything out of the reciever speaker, but speakerphone and headphones work fine. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article to help determine what may be the cause:

The little lock has nothing to do with speaker volume. It means you have locked the rotation on your iPhone.
Have you tried using the volume control on the side of the iPhone to raise the volume when someone calls?

Ipone 4 people cannot hear me when i make calls.

I synced my iPhone 4 and now people can not hear me when I make callow. Tried.connecting Bluetooth and same issue.

I highly doubt this Issue has anything to do with your recent syncing to your computer, it is a common fault that is becoming more and more predominate globally as time goes by.
You merely thought back to the last interaction you had with your phone and connected it to your current Issue.
May i ask if you can record a Video or use skype and see if you can hear sound, if indeed you can hear sound then your Phone is faulty and if you haven't a permanent loss of functionality of the microphone for voice calls there soon will be.
My Advise would be to first see if the sound works when recording videos.

People Cannot Hear Me When I make Calls on iPhone 4, Bought a new iPhone 4, uploaded all of my own information from the backup, and it still doesnt work, help!

I went in to apple, they couldnt figure it out, I am on AT&T so I was figuring on going into their store today and seeing if its something with the network, if not I am going back to apple, but this is literally a brand new phone i bought yesterday, not refurbished or anything, brand new, does anyone know why this isnt working? Everything else works fine, the mics both work, its just when I make calls or someone calls me the mic doesnt work.

When you see the same issue on more than one hardware device, it means that the problem is likely to exist outside of the hardware. Two things to investigate would be the software/firmware on the backup and issues with the cellular network. It's probably safe to rule out the cellular network as well.
First, make sure that you have imported copies of all the information (pictures, videos, documents) on the device. Do this thorough itunes, and the applications (photographic and document processing) on your computer. Perform a firmware update then restore the device as new. If the problem persists, then you may actually have the worst luck and discovered two devices with an identical issue.
Read each of the steps before initiating the DFU.
!. Connect the iPhone to any computer running a fully updated version of iTunes.
2. Press and hold both "home" and "sleep/wake" buttons
3. After eight seconds let go of only the sleep/wake button.
4. Keep holding the home button until you see a popup mesage in iTunes.
5. Read all all the popups, then use iTunes to update the iPhone's software.
If the popup fails to show, repeat steps 2 through 4

Not able to edit mapings in PI 7.1 after upgrade

You may try using the following role:
"SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE"
If not worked, then go to:
-> Exchange Profile -> Integration Builder -> 'com.sap.aii.util.server.auth.activation'
You need to switch the value to "false", save the changes, and restart
the J2EE Engine. You should then be able to modify objects again.
Last, by default, SAP ships the role "XIREP_UNRESTRICTED" which allows users
to edit all the objects in the integration builder. You may use this.
The following are the steps to use this role :
1. Start the AS Java Identity Management
2. Choose Identity Management.
3. Search for XiRep_Unrestricted and select it.
4. Choose Assigned Groups/users and then choose Modify.
5. Search for the relevant user groups/user name
6. Add this role to user and choose save.
Also, please check the other thread I answered and use that note to import
the ESR content. It may be missing and could be the cause as well.

Not able to see websites in Safari 6.0 after upgrading to Mountain Lion

This weekend I updated to Mountain Lion from Snow Leapard. After the installation my machine rebooted. Once the machine reboot, I did another system update and the machine updated my iWorks and iPhoto apps. Once the machine updated the applications. I tried to go to several websites examples (cnn.com, ajc.com or even ebay.com) but the browser never shows the page. First I thought that my connection was slow or not working. But, when I look at the status bar. I see browser info is been loaded, but it never appears on my screen. I'm able to open another browser like Chrome and I'm able to access any page or link I click on, but I'm not able to do this in Safari. I'm able to see thumbnails of the websites, but when I click on a thumbnail the page does not appear. Please help.. I prefer to use Safari over Chrome.

Two different operating systems.
It has nothing to do with the phones running different operating systems. Bluetooth is a platform independent standard. It's all due to the different Bluetooth profiles each device incorporates. iPhones do not have the file transfer profile.

Two iPhones, two contracts, both ring when one is called after upgrade to iOS8

I have two iPhones 5s, one private, one for business. They have different numbers and use different carriers/service providers.
They use both the same Apple ID for any iTunes store, Apple store or iCloud purposes.
I've upgraded them both to iOS 8.
When now someone is calling me, using either the private or the business number BOTH iPhones ring. This hasn't happened before and it's rather annoying and bad.
Is there a way to stop this behaviour?

This is a new feature to allow sharing of a cellular connection. To disable it, either use separate iCloud IDs for the phones, or turn it off in Settings/ FaceTime/ iPhone Cellular Calls/ OFF.

Cannot hear anything when calling with iPhone 4

I've had my iPhone 4 just over a year and for the past week or so I haven't been able to hear anything when making or recieving calls. Also when going to answer a call it freezes and shuts itself down. I have done the restore and also restored it from new loosing my stuff and this still hasn't fixed it. It also doesn't have any sound when using headphones either. Anyone have any ideas or advice?? Thanks

Sometimes if you are nice to them they will replace it even if it is out of warranty. And if they won't there is a flat fee of $149 to replace it.

OMG.....this very tiny hole located next to the headset jack........I suffered for the same issue around 20 days after purchasing my iPhone 4S. Even I visit the apple store too, they suggested to talk with apple online.....just before going to apple, i was reading "iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting" (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802) and at the very first line, i found "Make sure that nothing is blocking the top microphone (located next to the headset jack)." and this located next to the headset jack solved the problem completely for sound in vidio as well as sound with calling speaker phone.....Actually, I purchased a plastic cover (like screen protector type) that blocked this small hole (microphone hole i think) and the problem was because of this...I remember on the first day i talk with speacker phone (nothing on iPhone at that time) and it was working...
No need to restore or hard reset anything...i was fearing i'll lost everything if I hard reset my iPhone that took 5-10 to build my iPhone as I like apps, music, vidio on it....

now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on?
