I wanted to watch a BNN video on my iphone 4, but I was told I needed Adobe Flash Player. Adobe says Apple does not allow to install Flash Player on iPhones. Any suggestions?

See if BNN has an app in the app store or do without.
Adobe does not make a flash player for ipod/ipad/iphone and likely never will.

  • Not able to install Flash

Hello - I am unable to view movies in FLASHPLAYER. I called
the Adobe 800 cusomer support number and was guided through
uninstalling and reinstalling FLASH PLAYER and also confirming that
the latest version of JAVA installed. However, the person I spoke
with was not able to assist beyond this and suggested I open a web
case. There were no errors when we uninstalled or reinnstalled
FLASH and No errors when we installed the latest veversion of Java.
However, when I go to a page with a Flash movie, the frame
displays, but the movie does not play and I get a very small box
with a red X in the upper left corner. This is on any page with
Flash movies. Your assistance with how to proceed to correct this
    will be apprecaited!!! Thank you!

  • It will not let me install Flash player

I can not figuar out how to install this.  I did have it installed now it is gone?  when I hit install it says to close enternet explorer and that is how I had gotten there in ing first place and I am not able to do both. when I hit install for enternet explorer the same thing comes up.  Why won't this download.  I went to manage add ons and everything was enabled but it still does not work.  I have just wasted an hour trying to do this. Probable to see something I do not want to see in the first place but you never know. Help.

Ah, you're on Windows 8.  Flash Player is a built-in component of Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and higher.  There is no installer or anything to download for IE.  Everything is delivered through Windows Update automatically.
You may need to examine your ActiveX Filtering settings, but they should be correct by default:
    ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer 11 (and IE 10 to a lesser degree) introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer.  Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken in Internet Explorer until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by current versions of Internet Explorer.
If that's the case, then you're running into this JavaScript stuff.  You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

Yes. Uninstall Intego Virus Barrier. You don't need it.

I am unable to download Flash Player ===== the error message says that Internet Explorer should be closed----  how would I get to Adobe.com if Internet Explorer is not open?

You download the installer (http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe) and save it to disk, then close all Internet Explorer windows and run the downloaded installer.

Thanks for the help didi_vinyl, the uninstallation/installation went very smoothly. Yet I still have a when I go to this one website.
The specific website I am trying to access is at PrincetonReview.com>Student Tools>Your Test Scores/Reports>Your New SAT Online Student Center Score Report>A Diagnostic Test. When you click on the link to the test, it gives you a whole 8 pages of analyzation (for any of you who have taken a Princeton Review Diagnostic Test you know what I'm talking about, and when I click the +Printer Friendly Version+ it gives me two pages with the .
Now according to [this website|http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=83434] that discusses the appearance of :
The "lego" means that you either are missing the Quicktime plugin for that image or have an outdated/wrong plugin installed. Check the folder /Library/Quicktime and re-install any plugins you have there to be sure you're using the Intel version.
So I checked Macintosh HD>Library>Quicktime and I have the following components
    1. AppleIntermediateCodec.component
    2. CanonMJPEGAVI.component
    3. DivX Decoder.component
    4. DivX Encoder.component
    5. Flip4Mac WMV Advanced.component
    6. Flip4Mac WMV Export.component
    7. Flip4Mac WMV Import.component
Apart from components 2-7, which I believe are third-party plug-ins, does it look like I am missing any key Quicktime components? Or is this even a Quicktime plug-in issue?
Thanks for all of the help!

  • Help with installing Flash Player 10.1 in IE7

    Hello All -
I have been having issues installing Flash Player 10.1 in IE7.  I have pretty much tried everything to install this into IE7.  I was able to install Flash Player 10.1 in Firefox with no issues at all.   I have tried to install it through the Adobe Download Manager - it downloads to 100% and then I receive a Error:Installation failed message under Progress.  I also tried to install Flash Player through the manual installer - I run that install file and then receive the error that says "The ActiveX control for Flash Player could not be registered.  In the Troubleshoot Flash Player installation page on Adobe - I have tried every single remedy that they list under this error message but to no avail.  Any ideas?  I am running Windows XP SP3 and IE7.  I also tried IE8 earlier in the day with the same result so just downgraded back to IE7.
    Thanks
    Pat

I tried all solutions but one posted in adobe support. I am local administrator but IE security settings are set by group policies and buttons in tools security setting are grayed out.
After three days with "The ActiveX control for Flash Player could not be registered" message I tried registering the activeX control manually.
    Bingo! that made the trick.
So open a DOS window, type "regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10d.ocx" -first check if this directory exists and contains the Flash10d.ocx (no quotes needed) and you should receive a confirmation that it registered correctly.
I must say that I've tried so many ways that I cannot repeat the correct order before this has worked ;-(
Hope it works for you all

  • Cannot install Flash Player ActiveX plugin

It's very interesting that I am able to install Flash Player for Mozilla but not for IE (ActiveX). As I'm a web site designer, I need to surf my design at different browsers to ensure compatibility. I tried many of solutions (such as uninstaller, reset_fp10, ccleaner, registry cleaner) but still not work. I hope the attached install log file may help to find out what's wrong and the solution.
    Joe

Hello, I did not look at the install log. However, the first thing you want to do is go to add/remove and find out what of Adobe is listed there.
When Adobe Flash Player 10 is installed and is listed in Add/Remove is says: Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX.
List everything that is Adobe in Add/Remove
Next list each add on that is in Manage Add/Ons and whether it is enabled or disabled.
You need to know what you have before you do anything else.
(I use an 8 year old Dell, running XP3 with IE 6 and I have never used registry cleaners or anything of that nature. I keep Windows updated and never once has Microsoft told me I needed to use a registry cleaner because I've installed an update or an upgrade. I was told long ago to leave the registry alone and have done so. This is just my opinion. I am not a programmer and would never do anything with my computer that I have no knowledge of. )
Sometimes users go where angels fear to tread so to speak with their computers.
Let's see what you have installed and what add/ons you have and go from there.
