Not able to install HANA client and Studio developer edition on Windows(64 bit)

Hi,
I have recently downloaded SAP HANA client and Studio developer edition package for Windows 64.
ngdbc_rev68
sap_hana_win64_client_rev80
sap_hana_win64_studio_rev80
Bit,but I am not able to install it on my machine.
It is giving me error:
Cannot install
Cannot install Microsoft C/C++ Runtime
    Starting external program C:\Users\spragya\CSC\SAP HANA\Client and Studio\sap_hana_win64_studio_rev80\studio\msdev2010_vcredist_x64.exe
      Command line is: "C:\Users\spragya\CSC\SAP HANA\Client and Studio\sap_hana_win64_studio_rev80\studio\msdev2010_vcredist_x64.exe" /q
      Program terminated with exit code 1603
Can someone please let me know what is this issue and this can be rectified.

Hi Pragya,
Did you check : 1) Administrator Access while installing Microsoft C++ Runtime, 2) enough space on your disk, 3) try uninstalling the MS C++ old version 4) Empty Windows Temp folders
Also check if the environment variables are set right on your Windows machine.

I also had the same problem once.
Have you installed HANA Studio inside C:\ProgramFiles folder?
If so then there are some issues and you won't be able to install plugins.
To install plugins, copy the hdbstudio folder to C"\ folder and open HANA Studio from there
or reinstall HANA Studio inside C:\ folder only

Yes, I purchased the new photoshop elements 12 and did as I was told. Because it is an upgrade I entered the old serial nuimber (7-8 yrs old). This number is not accepted or recognized apparently8. I don't have a serial number on the new download, or at least, I am not able to find it, perhaps because it is not installed (because that requires the serial number!). Thanks.

Not able to install Oracle Client 11g R2 64 bit on Windows 7 Enterprise 64

I am having issues. I get "Central Inventory is not locked" and Oracle 11g R2 just closes itself.
I had some previous installations of Oracle, but I am unsure how to get rid of them all. I already removed the registry keys associated with Oracle. Any help here?

One user above reported installing the 64 bit odbc drivers and then the 32 bit drivers. How did you do that? I'm a neophyte to this.
I'm trying to get a 32 bit ODBC oracle driver to work on a server 2008 R2 machine. I downloaded the 11gR2 x64 client from oracle. The install process makes no mention of 32bit vs 64bit installation. After running the instalation I can run the ODBC administrator and generate a DSN for oracle. When I run the 32 ODBC administrator there is no oracle driver available except the microsoft driver for oracle. When I select that it says that I need to install oracle.
I had at first tried to install 11g instant client. However that didn't work for the 2008 R2 machine. It complained about some registry error when I tried to run the ODBC install program. I need to get it to work for a customer asap.

Not able to install CS6 Design and Web upgrade

I bought an upgrade from CS3 Master Collection (which qualifies for the upgrade) to CS6 Design and Web premium. Upon installation it asks me for the CS3 serial number. I put the CS3 serial number and it gives me an error.
Do I need to deactivate it CS3 Master Collection from my previous PC?

Not able to install ActiveX (OCX) on Non-Admin user in Windows 7 ( internet Explorer 8/9)

I need the solution to install ActiveX controls throught CAB file (Micorsoft Cabinet) for non-admin users. Our solution is working for user accounts with adminstrator rights but not for nonadmin users.

Apologize for the late reply and the misunderstanding about the ActiveX download location, we could change the location through the below registries:
Use Registry Editor to change the "ActiveXCache" value to the location you want in the following registry key:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
Use Registry Editor to change the "0" value to the location you want in the following registry key:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ActiveX Cache
   NOTE: The values you enter in steps 1 and 2 must match.

Not able to install rtcxds database with Lync Standard Edition

Hello everybody,
I'm trying to install Lync 2013 Standard in an lab environment. After publishing my topology i try to
install the database from the topology builder and everything works fine, but the rtcxds database times out.
It says that the database does not exist and will be created but it fails then with a timeout. The other
databases are created successfully. A 4gb file is in the expected folder, which gets deleted when the timeout appears.

It looks like it can't find that file. Do you see it on your drive?
If you run Topology Builder, will it let you download the topology from the Central Management store and publish a tiny change at the moment?
Do you get the same error if you rerun step 2?
To confirm, this is your first Lync server in the environment?

Not able to switch on WiFi and Bluetooth after upgrading to Windows 10

I was using Windows 7 Home Basic preinstalled with the laptop since 2011. The laptop was working fine. After upgrading to Windows 10 the WiFi and Bluetooth is not working. Tried help from Microsoft remotely. According to them the drivers are not working and there is no updated drivers available for Windows 10 on HP website. The driver installed presently is "Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter".Please help and advise whether to stick with Windows 10 or to roll back to Windows 7 as I have an option to purchase a removable device to use WiFi and Bluetooth.I love the lightness of the new operating system. Please help!!!

I had similar issues with another dll which was not compatible with the "regi.exe". I had also the exact same problem as mentioned in this discussion but after doing the following for the "regi.exe" the "
SAPNewDBMDXProvider.dll" also disappeared. You may also try the followings considering "SAPNewDBMDXProvider.dll" as the target dll:
1. use the tool www.dependencywalker.com/ to find out exaclty which dlls are missing/not the right version/not compatible by opening the target program (SAPNewDBMDXProvider.dll)
2. find out the right dlls from the right source. In my case it was part of the windows visual c++ 2010 x64 redistributatble package. so i downloaded the package.
3. before you install the right dll make sure that you uninstall preveously installed dlls/packages with the same name. in my case i had to uninstall c++ 2008 / 2005 redistributable packages x86.
4. then install
5. do not forget to reboot your machine
6.if the problem still persists you may forcfully register the new dll by the command
regsvr32.exe "the target dll"

If I were to purchase the Apple Remote Desktop with Unlimited licenses, would I be able to install the client software on each of there computers/laptops and have them remote desktop into the server?

I have several friends and family who are looking for a central place to access information from ( Pictures, home movies etc ). So I am considering setting up an OSX Lion Server. There are some other things I can use it for as well.
Here is my question:
If I were to purchase the Apple Remote Desktop with Unlimited licenses, would I be able to install the client software on each of there computers/laptops and have them remote desktop into the server? Or would I have to install the Admin software on each? Do they intend it to be used strictly as one admin to access many clients?
I always could set up a network drive so they can log in and just see the folders they have created with space on the server I provide them. But I want them to be able to log an and actually use it as a Remote Desktop.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand that ARD is meant for Remote Administration, but I was not sure if it could be used for my purpose as well. The reason I was looking to do it this was was because I read several articles online about security and performance issues with setting up VNC and activating screen sharing. Unless I am misunderstood.
As far as people's activities on the server, mostly it is going to be used as a place for them to store their media. I will only allow own person ( Who I trust and I know wont botch the server ), to run applications. Everyone else will be restricted to uploading and downloading content to their designated account on the server as well as a community share on the server.
