Not able to install SharePoint Foundation 2013 SP1 on a Windows Server 2012 R2

I am very new working with SharePoint and Server 2012. I had and am having a lot of problems installing SharePoint Foundation 2013. I get over the typical errors as download all prerequisites from the Internet, installing the Farms, etc.
After I completed all the installations steps, and the installation has finished I tried to open SharePoint 2013 Central Administration but I can't access to it.
Does anyone has a suggestion?

I have upgraded a standalone Windows Server 2008 R2 running SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP2 to Windows Server 2012 R2. The upgrade completed OK and SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP2 is running OK as before upgrade.
Is anyone aware of any issues running SPF 2010 SP2 on WS2012 R2?

from scratch i just prepared a windows server 2012 R2 vm
and i set all required roels (Appserver,webserver etc) according to this link

SharePoint 2010 has no supportability statement for Server 2012 R2. I would not use it until Microsoft releases a supportability statement.
Even it has no supportability for server 2012, but sharepoint 2010 running fine in my server 2012 test environment

SCSM 2012 R2 Self Service Portal is supported on Microsoft Sharepoint Foundation 2013 Sp1 or not

Hello,
I have a requirement to install Self Service Portal on one dedicated Server and found that Both the Web Content Server and SharePoint Web Parts can be installed on single Server. I want to use Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 Foundation Server as
it is free but it is not supported on Windows Server 2012 R2.
My query are -
Can we use Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2013 Sp1 for the same purpose.
Can we install Both the Web Content Server and SharePoint Web Parts on One Computer for Self Service portal
I was referring the below link which says that Sharepoint 2013 is not supported, does it mean for Sharepoint foundation 2013 Sp1 is also not supported.

for background, there are actually three parts here. there is a SharePoint team site, there is the content distribution website, and there is the data access website. the data access and the content website are almost always collocated on the same servers,
since they are both IIS virtual directories. the sharepoint team site is packaged for 2010, but it's been
successfully installed on 2013 without problems.
you have a couple of options:
you can put all three web componets on the same server by using foundation 2010
you can put all three on the same 2013 server using the method above
you can put the two iisvds on a server and install the team site using the method above
you can install the content and data access services on a separate server, and then install a scrap foundation SharePoint and export out the team site and import it into your existing SharePoint site

Do I have to install SharePoint Foundation 2013 via a script in order to name my content databases without the GUID references?

You can't do a standalone install if you want the alias (also if you plan to move the databases in the future)
You'll need to create the alias before you create the farm with the Configuration wizard or PowerShell so you can specify the alias. Whether you create the alias before or after installing SQL Express doesn't matter as long as it points to the instance.

The SharePoint Foundation 2013 works with other applications and Windows features, so it depends on any of the components that SharePoint Foundation 2013 needs. If some features or applications cannot be installed successfully, the SharePoint
Foundation 2013 will not work normally. The Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 are recommended.

I am Unable to install Sharepoint Foundation 2013 in Windows Server 2012 for FIM 2010 R2,
Before SharePoint Foundation 2013 installation I installed all prerequisite software that is required for SharePoint Foundation 2013 but when we run SharePoint Foundation 2013 setup that gives below error so I am requesting you please help on this.
Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):
Windows Server Appfabric is not correctly configured.You should unistall Windows Server Appfabric and reinstall it using the SharePoint Products Preparation Tool.

Installing Sharepoint Foundation 2013 for FIM 2010 R2 SP-1

As SharePoint Foundation 2013 is supported for FIM 2010 R2 sp-1 on windows 2012. I am trying to install the SharePoint foundation 2013 on windows 2012. There are some prerequisite(like .net framework,windows Identity framework, sync, windows
appfabric etc) which needs to be get installed before installing SharePoint 2013. I have installed on the prerequisite sucessfully but when try to install the SP 2013, getting the error, windows server AppFabric is not configured properly. Search
on google and configured the windows server AppFabric many times still getting the same issue. Kindly suggest if it mandatory to configure the AppFabric.If yes, please suggest the correct step to configure the AppFabric.

recently,we have purchased ms-office 2013 but we are not able to install the ms-office 2013 and it is showing not compatible.
it is an dell vostro laptop v1510.It is an 32-bit operating system .
Could you please share your ideas why i am not able to install MS-Office 2013 in windows vista Home basic.
We are using windows mail whether this windows mail will migrate all mails automatically to outlook 2013.

Office 2013 does not run on Vista, it is only compatible with Windows 7 and above. You will not be able to install it.

To work around the issue, use one of the following methods:
Assign the Log on as a service user right to NT SERVICE\ALL SERVICES in the GPO that defines the user right.
Exclude the computer from the GPO that defines the user right.
We moved the SCCM server to OU where no policies were getting applied and then applied the new GPO to that OU. Restarted the server and we were able to install WSUS role.

anybody has experience installing sharepoint 2013 on windows server 2008 r2? I failed to install it even if I have all the latest patches installed and the sql server 2012 express installed. it keeps failing to install the prerequisites.

Is it possible to install Sharepoint Foundation 2013 in a Windows 8 Pro box for development purposes?

I remember an article explaining how to install SharePoint Foundation 2010 in a Windows 7 box which was prone to some errors but however a great article (http://blogsp.idea80.com/2010/02/instalacion-de-sharepoint-2010-sobre.html).
I wander if it would be posible to install 2013 in a Windows 8 pro box.
I want to try the SharePoint features in Visual Studio but I dont really want to go through the whole installation process for SharePoint in a server. I am not interested in ADS integration or anything else, just basic functionality to develop some basic
add ons in Silverlight.
Any help would be greately appreciated.

No, it's not possible to do that anymore, it has to be run on Windows Server 2008 R2 or 2012, and I would totally recommend the latter, it seems to perform much better. But what you can do is this, and its what I'm doing, run a virtual machine on Windows
8 running Windows Server 2012 and install SharePoint 2013 there. Works like a charm.

Hosting SharePoint 2013 and content separation (Windows Server 2012)

I have a windows 2012 server which hosts a ASP.NET 4.5 MVC website.
I am interested in installing SharePoint 2013 on the same standalone server (which is a virtual cloud server, and easily scalable). I would like to be able to create separate instances of sharepoint for each of my customers (around 10), and provide them
with a custom URL ie. customer.abc.com (where abc.com is my domain). These sites will be created programmatically when a user signs us to my site (they only require basic SharePoint functionality, i.e. the creation of team sites, notifications etc.)
So:
1) Can I install SharePoint 2013 at no extra cost on windows server 2012? (what are the limitations)
2) Is it possible to create separate instances of sharepoint 2013 (in terms of config and content DB's)
3) I'm sure there are many but what are some other considerations

1) With SharePoint Foundation, SharePoint itself does not cost anything, but you must purchase User CALs for employees of your company, and User CALs for non-employees or a Windows External Connector license.

Note that you must have Active Directory in this environment and the Server 2012 VM you currently have must be joined to the Active Directory domain.

Can you download Service pack again and try once more

SCCM 2012 SP1 SUP on Windows Server 2012

Hi sccm guys,
I'm having Troubles to get the SUP role working on my Windows Server 2012. I'm using SCCM 2012 SP1. I installed (and did not configure) the WSUS role from the Server Manager. I Chose to install the DB on the local SQL instance (no WID instance).
Then I added the SUP role to the Server and configured it with the seperate wsus Administration site (Ports 8530 and 8531).
WSUS gets configured partially (Proxy Settings and "Products and Classification" Options only for Office and Windows)
The folowing error pops up in the wcm.log
Failed to set Subscriptions on the WSUS Server. Error:(-2147467259)Unspecified error
Any clues?
