Not able to login - application express 4
I have downloaded oracle express 10g, and application express 4
configured on Scenario 2: Downloading from OTN and Configuring the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway
followed the installation procedures religiously
now i am not able to login thru admin
can anyone suggest what could be the issue
but in solman there is Microsoft SQL SERVER 2005 is installed and i m not able to connect to database for delete sap*
So no user/password, no access to the DB... then you simply cant logon.
You need to at lease be able to use a sql session to delete the sap* user at DB level to be able to logon. Changing the paremeter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar when SAP* exist in that client does not work.

Urgent help needed! not able to login in an application
I change the authentication from application express to database and back.
So I put application express again current and now I'm not able to login anymore in my app.
I even don't get my login page. if i start the browser and want to go to the app
it always redirect directly to my home page?????
Please help, what happened? App express authentication is back my current but nothing works anymore.
I can see in the design pages from the app but when I push the run button it just refreshes the current desing page and does not run anything.
Other apps are still workingSorry guys,
Already solved it myself. A wrong column referenced in the sql code from the scheme authorization caused the error.
I couldn't get my hand on it in IE but when I tied to start the page in Firefox. I got even the right message stating which column was wrong in which scheme.
Again another reason to get rid of that grrrr win IE. It's such a pain in the .....

Could not able to login into APEX Application
Hi All,
Finally with the help of Jes and Anthony, I am bale to see Apex login page and Apex Admin login page.
But there are some issues in that, images are not properly displayed and also i could not able to login to admin page and even apex login page...It is showing some Javascript errors.
How shall I resolve them and work on APEX Application.
Thanks & Regards
Vishwanath GNVVishwanath,
Is this linked to one of your other posts? If it is a related problem then please try and keep it in one thread because it makes it much much easier for people to follow the flow of 'conversation'. By starting a new thread it makes it difficult to see what has already been tried etc.
Ok...so images and javascript are not working...so the obvious questions are -
1) Did you copy across all the Javascript, images etc as directed in the installation/upgrade guide?
2) Have you tried clearing your browser cache? -
Not able to login to a new application
Hi,
I have imported a sample DRM application into my DRM installation.......everything is good.......the application shows as started in DRM console............I have a user name/ password ....which i used to setup the app in DRM console..............
But when i try to login the app from Web URL.........iam not able to login..........with the same userID/Passsword....which i used in DRM console!!!!!!!!!!!!...........I can login to the SQL developer with the same login details and see all objects...........
IN SQL tables does any table store the login user IDs and passwords.....................How can i login to the application?If you've got a sample database schema that contains a DRM application then the simplest approach is going to be to ask whoever gave you the sample schema for the DRM application what the password for the admin user is. DRM user credentials are encrypted in the DRM schema so I don't think it's highly unlikely that anyone is going to advise how to get from an encrypted password in the DRM schema to a plain text password on a forum that is available for all to see in Google search results.

Existing users not able to login to Application
Hi all,
For satisfying one of the security requirement. We secured Entity dimension and created new member access profile and new team.
For the new user and we (Admin team) has assigned this newly created team.
Now only we (Admin team) and new user is able to access the system.
Inorder for all other users to access the Application. Do we need to assign newly created team to all of them? is there any way to do it?
Regards
AbhishekHi ABHISHEK BANSHIWALA,
Since you have checked Entity dimension has secured now and created new Member access profile for new users.
But for existing users who are using existing Member Access profiles which does not have Entity dimension defined this is the reason why they are not able to login to BPC Application.
Please edit all the Member Access profiles and establish a reference to the ENTITY dimension for [ALL]

Users are not able to login to BPM worklist application from one of the AD.
Hi ,
We are using FMW11g ( 11.1.1.6.0) and configured 2 AD's.( AD-1 & AD-2). We are able to see users from both AD's in the weblogic admin console. Users present in AD-1 are able to login to BPM worklist application without any issue but users from AD-2 are not able to login to BPM application. Could any one please answer 1) Can we configure 2 AD's to FMW11g ? 2) If "YES" , what configuration needs to change to users login from AD-2.
Please let me know if any more information need.
Regard's
NaveenHi
NO. You CANNOT use more than One Security Provider for a BPM Workspace Application. Only the top most first Security Provider will work. In your case you have 2 ADs security providers and only users from top most can login. Yes, you can see the Users from both and infact all the Security Providers that are configured. It is the limitation of the bpm workspace application and its corresponding security framework.
Out of box, if you use default AD Configuration then there is nothing you can do. Only the first top most will work. If you really really want you need to use totally custom authentication provider where you will write your own code for authentication. Remember this development is pure weblogic security related one and you need to have good understanding of internal weblogic security. I would not recommend this.
Here is one old post. This old post has 2 other old posts worth visiting to get more details:

User NOT able to login again to BSP application after logging off
Hi Experts,
What the user is doing?
Step 1: User logged into BSP Application. Result: Successful login
Step 2: User logged off from BSP Application. Result: Successful log off
Step 3. User again tries to log into BSP Application with correct login credentials. Result : LOGIN FAILURE
What is being displayed onto the screen after step 3?
1. Login screen does not changes.
2. It does not show any error/warning messages.
3. Next screen, after login screen is NOT being displayed.
What the user does next?
User is deleting all the cookies & cache, and again trying to log into BSP application. Result : Successful login
Question:
Everytime, the user logs off from the BSP application, and again tries to login, he/she is NOT able to login without clearing the cookies and cache.
First, the user has to clear cookies and cache, then ONLY he/she is able login.
Can you please advice on this?
Response will be highly appreciated.

After upgraded 9.2 DB, all users are not able to login (Except Guest).
After completed the DB upgrade from 8.1.7.4 to 9.2.0, all users are not able to login the oraclemypage.home. This is except the Guest account.For example, I use the sysadmin account to login the oraclemypage.home. It shows "Your login is invalid. Please login again."
Moreover, I do the following query.
SQL> select fnd_web_sec.validate_login('SYSADMIN','SYSADMIN') from
dual;
FND_WEB_SEC.VALIDATE_LOGIN('SYSADMIN','SYSADMIN')
N
If I guery the Guest account, the result is "Y".
Also, all users can access via dev60cgi/f60cgi to open E-business 11.5.7 application. Are there any missing script / process I need to do?
Thanks,
MatthewHi Arun,
What message u get on the apache logs / jserv logs when u get the error ?
Since the log cumulate a giga byte, I clean up the log and test again. It seems no error message.Whats your platform?
HP-UX 11.11To which version (5 digit) u upgraded DB ?
Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 - 64bit Production
I found a note 225074.1 that talks of a similar issue where users are ablt to login to forms but not php. this is for AIX. review the note.
I had checked this previously. Part of this document already tried which suggested by Oracle Support.what is the end_date for all of these users in fnd_user table ? if all users for some reason is end_dated , then fnd_web_sec will show 'N"
All users are normal. For those I tested without end_dated, I can access via f60cgi too.whats the session_cookie_domain set to in icx_parameters table? Set to NULL and try bouncing apache once.
This set to ".mycompany.com". You mean that I set the session_cookie_domain to NULL and restart Apache, right? Why I need to set it NULL? -
User not able to login for the role
Hello All
We are having 2 properties for the role assigned to user in portal. One is the "Entry Point" and the second one is "Invisible in Navigation Areas". We have customized the standard TLN par for our application. Due to which if we are setting any of the above property to "Yes" then i am not able to login into that role. As we are checking the navigation nodes only in TLN par.
I need that role to be invisble in portal but user should be able to login into that role.
Kindly help as i need to implement it urgently.
Thanks & Regards
MandeepHello Reddy,
I have provided the code we are using to fetch te roles from navigation nodes. Navigation nodes are fetched for only visible roles not for invisible roles. Kindly refer the code and suggest some solution to fetch the heirarchy of the invisible role. In the code "My Purchases" & "Mis Compras" is our role.
<nav:iterateInitialNavNodes currentNavNode="currNode">
<% String strCurrentNode = currNode.getTitle(myLoc);
if (strCurrentNode.equalsIgnoreCase("My Purchases")|| strCurrentNode.equalsIgnoreCase("Mis Compras")){
%>
<%if(levels==2) { %>
<!-- Save selected node -->
<nav:storeNavNode/>
<% } %>
<% } %>
</nav:iterateInitialNavNodes>

Hi,
The user is using Windows machine and trying to login to Discoverer Plus 10g. He recently upgraded to Java 1.8 and was not able to login.
We informed the user that Discoverer 10g is not compatible with java version above 1.6. The user removed the java 1.8 and installed 1.6 again.
Still he is facing issue.
The error he gets is:
Unable to connect to the Discoverer Server: null
Please contact your Oracle Application Server administrator
Please suggest.

Changing blend mode while PS is applying a filter makes layer "invisible".
Came across this by chance. I applied a D&S filter and, while PS was busy "calculating", I hit Shift-Opt-K, to set blend mode "darken". That did set the blens mode, but also somehow made the layer have no effect. Going back in history to before the "
