Not able to open links to open pdf files, nothing happens, no error messages.

work site requires pdf files to be downloaded, after updating FireFox I can't do this any longer. I have added site to "exception" for pop-ups, still nothing.

There needs to be an entry for the XI/ PI server....unless you make an entry you wont be able to access the links....can you try accessing the following link:
http://<IP-Address of PI>:<JAVA PORT of PI>/rwb/FrontComponent/FC_Secure.jsp?doAction=showMessageMonitoring
pi.com is not a standard....it was just an example.....thats why i mentioned get the FQDN from your team members

Cant open links on my PDF files!

It sucks because I am loosing a lot of time trying to figure this out. I been doing this for the last 3 months. The files I am trying to read are for school and I am losing a lot of good material that I have to self forage through this links. Please help. They are not in the http://...etc The links are embeded to the words. For example:

All of the links that are in the book I am trying to read are like this. None of them are in the http:// format!

Not able to Check-out/Check-in .pdf file from Client application in SharePoint 2013

Hi,
When I click on .pdf document in document library its getting opened in browser not client application.
I have done all the below settings.
1. Set Opening Documents in the Browser as Open in Client Application.
2. Activated Open Documents in Client Application by Default.
Still .pdf files getting opened in browser.
Then I Tried by doing the below Internet Setting.
In Internet Explorer -> Manage add-ons and disabled Adobe PDF Reader -> Disable (So that the pdf should open in Browser).
Now I am able to Open the document in Client application but its not connected to SharePoint (
I am not able to do Check-in/Check-out/Save file back to SharePoint).
Can Any one Help me with this issue.

the option to open a PDF in the browser is based on the Web Application's list of allowed MIME types... it cannot be controlled on a per-library basis.

Cant open pdf files, nothing happen when i click in the document

i have adobe cs6 install in my mac computer , and recently is not been working properly. it seens that when i try to open a document with the pdf extension ,it only open the software but not the portable document file.

What version of Acrobat do you have? Does Acrobat X (which was included with CS6) open when you double-click a PDF, or does Adobe Reader open?
What happens when you open Acrobat/Reader and then try to open your PDF files?

Actually my son directed me to a help site run by a guy named Brian Stevenson. Here is what I did --
1. Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader XI
2. Go to Edit>Preferences
3. Click on Security (Enhanced)
4. Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
5. Click Yes when dialog box open to remind closing of application
6. Click OK to save
7. Exit Adobe Reader

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

I have three email ids with hotmail.com. I am not able to sign in to my email which I opened last, a few days back. Until yesterday I could log in and see the inbox etc of the said id. But now when I try to sign in, it gives error message

HT201210 iPhone 4s not able to back up or synch in iTunes. No specific error message given.

I just completed downloading IOS 5.1.1 this afternoon and when the process begins to upload the software onto the phone, it fails and I receive the following error message: "iTunes could not back up to the iPhone because an error has occurred." This has been my first software update since I got the phone in January. The phone also fails to synch at Step 2 or 3 with an undefined error message. Please help. Thanks.

Lawrence, thanks for the suggestions. I had to forward them to my corporate IS guys as I am using a corporate Windows XP laptop and corporate iPhone 4s. They approved and I gave it a shot.
The regular synch is going further now but still dies with same error message at the start of step 6. I also tried installing the IOS 5.1.1 software again and it gave me the same error message as noted above.
I have not updated safari in ages (since I received this phone in January). Could that be the cause? I am leary of deleting iTunes as I do not know if it is properly backed up.

You have to remove the back hand file which was present in the Local Disk C >> Program Data >> Acrobat, if you remove this file. It will remove the SSH (Software System History) from the PC. Then you can efficiently reinstall the Adobe Acrobat XI

I have a PDF file which displays an error message. It's fine, how do I get rid of the message?

I have combined a new PDF (printed from a Word file) and an older PDF (from an InDesign document). I see an error message on the first page of the older PDF. It says:
Could not find the XObject named 'Fm0'.
I click OK to clear the error, and there is nothing wrong with the file. I have to put this into an unforgiving PLM system with lots of approvers, and someone is sure to object to seeing this error message. What can I do to get rid of it?

I googled PDF Optimizer and there were several free PDF Optimizer downloads listed. They appeared to be from different companies; FyTek, cvisiontech, softpedia, etc. Is there one that is better for getting rid of of my error message?
I am familiar with the concept of preflighting files; but I don't have any software that does this. Can you suggest one?

Since upgrading to Mavericks, I'm not able to print most of the pdf files that I download. Any suggestions?

I have tried apple support (3 hours on phone), Adobe (1.5 hours on the phone) and Epson (I use the CX11N printer), another 1.5 hours and the proble still exists.
I have tgried unstalling Epson printer and reinstalling, using "print as an image" and all the other things that Adobe suggedts on their sight. I am also using Adobe Reader XI. Any suggestions?

Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to print by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar may appear under the cursor. Click the printer icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
Allow Plug-ins
Then click
Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Since I installed adobeX when I try to open a pdf file I get an error message

Firefox 10.0.1 will not open; I just upgraded from Firefox 9.0 to 10.0.1, the download completed, I clicked the Restart button; but absolutely nothing happens, no error message, nothing; I cannot start Firefox at all.

I have Windows XP SP3. Internet Explorer does work, which is how I'm able to tell you this. I have few plugins, and nothing unusual; in fact, before the popup window invited me to upgrade to Firefox 10.0.1, it first did a check for incompatible plugins and apparently found none.
Maybe I should do a System Restore and not try Firefox 10 again until the bugs are fixed.

You may need to delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing the latest Firefox.<br />
In case you still have problems after installing then check your security software.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
