Not able to register DCOM 32 bit component on Windows 7 64 bit machine

Hi,
I need to register a 32 bit delphi component on windows 7 64 bit machine as part of migration of my aplication from windows XP to win 7. After i register the necesary dll's and then run the DCOM exe or try reistering it from running DCOMexe\regserver.. I
am not able to find it under DCOMcnfg.
I also ran the dcomcnfg from syswow64 folder but still not able to see the DCOM exe under Dcomcnfg.
Please help me out how to register the dcom exe in win 7.

Do you mean to enable DCOM on Windows 7?
If yes, please take a look at the following article, take a try to enable DCOM:

And please note: Component Services is no longer in Administrative Tools. To open Component Services, click
Start. In the search box, type dcomcnfg, and then press ENTER.

Planning Appl not able to register and unregister with shared services

Hi All,
I created a planning application before that I created a datasource. After crearting an application I got an error as Application not able to register with shared services .
And also I am facing one more issue that is if I delete any particular planning application at that time I got an error as Application not able to unregister with shared services.
I am able to open the planning application through http://<planningmachine>:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp and its working fine. I am able to open the Shared Services though Workspace but I am not able to find the option for planning application.
Kindly guide me how to overcome it.

Have you checked the logs? Found something?
This normally happens when there is issue with Planning app and cluster mapping. For some reason, the application maps to non-existent cluster in Planning system schema resulting in failure of HSS registration. you can manually re associate the cluster using configuration tool and try registering again.

Mac Pro not able to boot into 64 bit kernel?

Hello,
I've been trying to boot while using the 6 and 4 buttons held down to no avail. This mac pro was bought in 2007 (work computer). Am I not able to boot into 64 bit mode with Snow Leopard? If so, does that mean I can't take advantage of the 64 bit kernel?

Man, Yes, when I am rendering all 8 cores in Maya, up to 4 gigs of ram are being used. Why is that so hard to believe? I should be able to render in RAM preview in After Effects a whole lot more than i can now without cacheing.!!!!
Is Maya a 64 bit application? If Maya is not using more than 4GB, than you should be talking to the Maya developers.
You should be able to use Applications -> Utilities -> Activity Monitor and look at the "Kind" field. If it says "intel (64 bits)", then it is a 64 bit application.
How many times do I have to state "YES, I will be using more than 4 gigs of RAM per program"?

Are you saying AFX (is that After Effects?) is not a 64 bit application yet? If not, then I suggest you talk to Adobe, not Apple.
Just for fun, I wrote a sample program, which allocated a large amount of memory. I ran it on my iMac with is booted with a 32 bit 10.6.2 Snow Leopard kernel. Here are the results:

My program has more than 4GB of physical RAM (4.74GB), and a virtual memory size of 9.32GB.
If I use Activity Monitor, I can see that my program is listed with a Kind of "intel (64 bit)".
So if Maya cannot use more than 4GB of memory, it is a Maya problem. Talk to the Maya developers.

There are hundreds (and still counting) problems with 3gs activation after upgrading to iOS 6.1.
No one fixed it yet. The possible reason is that jailbroken 3gs' unable to be updated to 6.1 operation system.

Not able to navigate to the URL in new window

I am trying to navigate to the URL form the OAF page through simple button and it should open in new window.In 11i it was working fine bu using setDestination(url) and setTargetFrame("_blank") properties but in R12 setTargetFrame property is not working so I am not able to open the url framed in new window.It is opening in the same window.In R12 I am trying with javascript with the following code but it is not working there.Could you please help it is urgent?

where url variable holds the URL which is framed at run time i.e. url is different for diffrent customers

Instead of button you can go for Link and hardcode the url (eg : http://www.yahoo.com ) and set the target frame as _b using declarative implementation from Jdeveloper .
it will open the URL in a new window .

I am not able to get listener connectivity after installing Oracle 11gr2 Grid infrastructure on windows on vmware workstation. I register with static ip.
Even i recreated the listener and running the listener from Grid home.

I am not able to register a new ap in WLC

The issue is i am not able to add new APs on WLC. Currently, there are 48 APs registered. But it does not allow 49th AP.
i tried a new ap to configure and add in the network but it is not registring but when i remove any other ap from the network the newer which i was trying it will registerd.

i also tried to enable LAG it will show following message.
Enabling LAG will map your current interface settings to LAG interface. All dynamic AP manager interfaces and untagged interfaces will be deleted. All WLANs will be disabled and mapped to Mgmt interface.!!! You MUST reboot the system after updating the LAG config. Right now i have configured 2 interface one is managment and other is ap manager interface where is managment interface ip is .2 and ap manager ip is .3
and all my 48 aps are using controller ip is .3 so when i am enabling LAG the upper statment is saying it will deleted my all interfaces and mapped to managment interface so in this senario my all aps lost the connection.

because it is not going beyond the limit of 48.

It will say:
The email address must end in a well-kown domain or two letter country.

Not able to connect to Oracle EBS from host Windows 7

Hi, I have installed oracle EBS version 12.1.1 (32 bit) on OEL ver 6.3 (32 bit). I have installed Linux on Oracle VM virtualbox ver 4.1.16.
I am having host OS as Windows 7 home on my laptop.
While setting up the Network in Oracle VM virtualbox, I have set "attached to" as 'Host Only Adapter'.
I am able to connect to oracle EBS from the client server(linux) using Firefox browser. Both the services(database, Application) are starting & stopping without any problem.
I have entered following setting in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.
192.168.56.101 linux.server
IP address of Linux OS is 192.168.56.101
Please help in resolving the issue.

I am getting error as "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" on IE ver 9, when accessing from host machine. On Firefox (ver 12), the error is coming as "The connection has timed out. The server at linux.server is taking too long to respond."
The firewall on the server has been disabled already.
I am not able to ping the server IP address or hostname.domainname from client. Following error comes while pinging -

Not able to see any of the application,system windows in jdev

I am facing a strange problem in jdev 10.1.3.1.I am not able to see any of the application,system and other window.I tried clicking the view button in the toolbar and clicking on the application and system navigator to show off in the window,but there was no luck.I continue to see a blue screen.Even i deleted the jdev10.1.3.1 and installed again the new jdev10.1.3.1 but still then its not showing me the windows.When i tried to explore more clicking Tool->Preferences it gave me the following exception:

I'm not able to downloand itunes on my computer. It's an older Gateway that has Windows XP 2002 SP3. I've tried deleting the temp files and restarting but that doesn't work. I've tried in IE8 and Firefox and still doesn't work. I click on download itunes, the pop up box to run the download never comes up and it goes straight to the page stating thank you for downloading itunes. I have turned off pop up blockers also. Please help!

Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. (If you're on a 32-bit Windows system, try to download on a different 32-bit Windows system.) Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.
