Not able to register quick time pro 7 on mavericks
Managed to buy and download the code but why is that there is no upgrade hapenning once I key the 5 part code?

There's only three parts to the code, and that's only if you included a company name. Otherwise, it's only two.
Your email confirmation of purchase will have the name, organization (if you gave one) and registration code info to put into the respective fields. The above is mine with the info blanked out. Which is why is says Pro at the left despite appearing as if it hasn't been registered yet.
Put the info from the email exactly as it was sent to you in each field. Be sure to tab past each one, including the last. When done correctly, the Pro name will appear over the QuickTime logo at the left. Done.

It says invalid registration; Can i transfer the seriel number? i do i get a mac seriel #?Registration key for the Mac and Windows OS are brought separately. Meaning you need to buy one for the mac and one for windows. These keys aren't cross platform...sorry.

How many times can I download Quick Time Pro once I purchased it?
Last September I purched my update to Quick Time Pro. Now I bought a new Computer and re-formatted the old one, not being able to copy Quick Time Pro from the old to the new computer. Therefore I wanted to download again Quick Time Pro: In the settings window I introduced my program key and then "accepted". It said "Quick Time pro" below the registration line; however, the "apply" buttom was not operative. I checked and my Quick Time version was still "Quick Time 7", not Pro. My question is: how many times can I download Quick Time Pro once I purched it? If I can download it more often than once, how do I proceed? Thank you for your help.

However, PART of my problem is similar to THIS person's.
My problem is that I have QT on two different drives in one computer; the one I paid for [QT Pro?] and one I got for free; QT7. I fear the free QT7 might have "interfered" with my "Pro".
So, taking your advice above, looking in the "Help" "About" menu, I find that BOTH of mine another "offer" above the word "About"; they suggest that I "Purchase QT Pro"...... so now, if BOTH of my QT's say THAT, then may I conclude that I do NOT have the Pro version? I'm meaning to say that if I already HAVE the Pro, they wouldn't suggest that I go and "Buy QT Pro".... right? Is this a safe conclusion? for ya'll that HAVE the Pro, and KNOW it, does it suggest to you that you could go and "purchase QT Pro"?

Can`t paly any video qith quick time pro
I want to export videos to my mobile and I have register Quick Time Pro but can't even play any video in mpeg or avi format.
I have installed codecs for windows and so; really, I don't understand qhat is happening.

It depends on what you are really asking here.
QT 7 Pro can create video flies that can be burned to a "data" DVD and can even playback the video from a DVD on a computer if properly encoded but QT 7 Pro is not a DVD "authoring" application nor is it a DVD "burning" application. -
Quick Time Pro not working - Video to iPod
I have not been able to copy video to my new iPod using Quick Time Pro
In this case this is a MPEG-4 to the Quick Time Movie format( MOV )
I have followed the tutorial of exporting this MPEG to the iPod( 320X240 ) format.
The exported file plays well on iTunes but when I synchronize the iPod I get a message that the file format cannot be played on the iPod and a Help-Link back to the same tutorial
I even tried converting a MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, with the same results.
Help & advise appreciated !

QuickTime requires seperate video and audio tracks in order to produce a file for the iPod with both video and audio.
If the MPEG-2 you are trying to convert is muxed it will only take the video part of the muxed track.

i am having problems exporting my time lapses from quick time pro i need to save my files as photo jpegs but the standard video compression window will not open fully, it just keeps my mac (old 1.6Ghz 2.5 GB sdram G5 still good for most stuff i need) spinning for ever but i can see compression type H.264 selected and the other setting but i can not select any other options as it still thinking but never opens! why is this happening how do i get round it?
my work flow is: 300 images shot on a 5d mark II medium jpegs opened in Light Room cropped to 16:9 then exported and opened in quick time i can save a .mov H264 giving me files sizes of 14 mb for a 16 second time lapse, mp4 9 mb. the only way i can get large files is saving as a self contained movie then i get 300mb files.
i need to save my files 1920 x 1080 photo jpeg codec as i want HD quality.
i am sure there is a simple way round this?
thanks guys!It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.
How large is your hard drive and how much hard drive space do you have left? -
I purchased quick time pro, and attempted to download quick time 7, but it says I have quick time x installed. I deleted quick time x but it still says it is there and will not let me install.
In the optional install items-Quick Time is not an option. I am on Leopard.
Then you either:
1) never had QT X installed and could not have deleted it since QT X is only installed on Snow Leopard (OS X v10.6), Lion (OS X v10.7), and Mountain Lion (OS X v10.8) systems or...
2) you are actually running Snow Leopard (OS X v10.6) and not Leopard (OS X v10.5) as you just stated.
Please confirm which statment is actually correct. -
Quick Time Pro will not launch
10/04/10: I downloaded Quick Time 7 and purchased a key for Pro. I can open video files with QT7Pro but I cannot launch Quick Time from either the short cut that was created or from the All Programs. The only thing that happens is that the Apple Quick Time logo and name appear in the bottom of the screen as though the program was shrunk down. It will not launch. Right clicking on the icon only provides the capability to "move" "minimuze" or "close." Maximize is grayed out and so is "restore."
I'd like to use the software I purchased to edit my videos and use some of the other features of Quick Time Pro.
What could be the issue? HELP.

First we'll try rebuilding the QuickTime.qtp file, to see if that helps with the launch.
Quit QuickTime if the button is currently showing in your Taskbar.
We'll now have to set you up to view hidden files and folders.
(1) Quit Safari if you have it open
(2) Go Start > Open.
(3) In the Organize menu, click Folder and Search Options.
(4) Click the View tab.
(5) Make sure that Show hidden files and folders is selected.
(6) Click OK.
Now look for a QuickTime folder in one of the following two locations (where "UserAccountName" is the name of the user account in which QuickTime isn't launching correctly):
C:\Users\UserAccountName\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\QuickTime\
... or:
C:\Users\UserAccountName\AppData\LocalLow\Apple Computer\QuickTime\
Drag the entire QuickTime folder out onto your Desktop.
Now launch the QuickTime Player again. (This should rebuild the folder and contained preference files.)
Does the Player launch properly this time? Or do you still get the same trouble? -
Export in Quick Time Pro gives Error -43: a file could not be found
Have been successfully exporting videos mades on my camera via Quick Time Pro for many months to convert for Apple TV. However in the last week the same routine process now causes an error on export. Error -43: a file could not be found.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing QT Pro and no difference, have also tried different export formats and they all give the same error.
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks

This is a old post from when I had recieved the Error-43 file could not be found. In my case I had a drive lettered F:\ F:\ when changing the drive to a single letter F:\ it resolved the problem, so something you might want to take a look at. -

The QT X v10.1 app installs in your "Applications folder and QT 7 v7.6.6 (whether keyed for "Pro" use or not) is installed in the "Applications/Utilities" folder. It is recommended you keep them in these locations so they will continue to update correctly/automatically. -
I have quick time pro 7 but use it in Windows not Mac. I can't find a way to play a .wma file in quick time pro. All I can see online is codec software to allow wma files to play in quick time if you have a mac. This doesn't help if you are trying to use quick time pro with windows.
I have a movie I created in windows live movie maker and want to play it in quick time pro or more specifically import it so I can export it to a m4v file to upload the video on my iphone 4s. The video orginated from my iphone 4 as mov but I found it much easier to edit in movie maker over quick time pro but now can't save the file as mpeg4 or m4v in movie maker so I need to be able to open the save wma in quicktime pro.The Windows version of QuickTime Player can't open Windows Media Player formats.
The only reason the Mac version uses QuickTime for WMP files is because of additional third party software. -

When I go to save the video save is grayed out and it says I need to purchase quicktime pro.Quicktime Pro will do full screen streaming videos that are compatible with Quicktime installed Codecs. If the video of the Olympics on the website has a specific URL to go straight to the video, then yes, you can call upon it with Quicktime Pro's player and then watch it fullscreen.
If the video of the Olympics was embedded such a way that you can't find the direct link to the video, then the limitation is how the webpage is designed. Thanks to Flip4Mac, there is now also a Windows Media codec you can install for Quicktime as well:
