Not able to see Role UDF while creating Role from Admin console

OIM 11g:
I created a Role UDF(under Administration->User Defined Field Definition->Form Name->Roles) in OIM design console. But when I try to create role in admin console I didn't see the UDF which was created from design console.
How to make the UDF visible in admin console. I don't see any authorization policy to make it visible in admin console.
Am I missing any thing here? Pls help.

Added the Role Role Administrators under Administrators tab on Role Form in design console.

Hi Guys,
I have import "com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par"; in NWDS and then give name "Custom Logon" then I have deployed this by "Create/Export PAr File" functionality within NWDS.
Now I logon to the "/irj/portal/....." by using "Administrator" and try to create iView base on deployed "Custom Logon" par file but I could not able to see it to create iView base on "Custom Logon" component.
Can any one tell me what mistake I am making here?

Hi Srikanth,
I followed all your mentioned step except I changed project name to "CustomLogon"
I copied "com.sap.portal.runtime.logon_api.jar,umelogonbase.jar" file under "PORTAL-INF/lib" directory in NWDS I deployed it through NWDS.
I log in portal by Administrator and try to create iView by selecting create iView base on PAR file but I am not able to see "CustomLogon" portal component.
My question is "Do I have to create Abstract portal Compnent?"
As in "CustomLogon" project which I has imported does not contain any Java Class for Abstract Portal Component........
Pl. explain me where I am making mistake.
I think I have to create "AbstractPortalComponent" Please correct me If I am wrong.

Not able to see planning applcn while addin in BR - Admnstration- Location

Not able to see application while adding in BR ->Administration->Location
When i right click on location i get select location window for Essbase and Plannig servr
when i select planning server i dont see that application...........
In Our enviornment we have 3 planing servers and u can access any Plannig application using any of the 3 servers
Here i was able to add the Planing application in Location on the other 2 servers but on one server when i populate application list it does not show that application

for sorting this out:
1. Stop the Planning, RMI and EAS,
2. Start the EAS, followed by RMI and Planning,
3. Log in to the planning application,
4. Try Creating a BR.

The Sun Identity Manager system throws policy violation error while creating users from Sun Identity Manager Admin interface.
Current System:
1. I have configured TAM Pass-Thru authentication for End User Login Application.
2. I have an admin user 'testsjimadmin1' who has admin capabilities. testsjimadmin1 user has default SJIM password policy.
3. I have custom password policies configured for different orgainizatoions
Problem:
1. The Sun Identity Manager throws a password policy violation error when 'testsjimadmin1' tries to create an user with valid or invalid password from Sun Identity Manager Admin interface.
2. If TAM Pass-thru authentication is removed for 'End User Login Application' and Sun Identity Manager default authentication is configured for 'End User Login Application' then testsjimadmin1 was able to create user successfully without any errors.
Please let me know if any configurations are required to be made on Sun Identity Manager for TAM Pass-Thru authentication so that admin users can create users successfully from admin interface.

Not able to see Message Content while using SOAP Adapter

Hi freinds
I am working on following scenario
Web Application ---> SOAP Adapter ---> XI ---> RFC Adapter ---> SAP R/3
Web application is using the WSDL file which I generated from XI.
Now everything is going fine & I am even getting the XML data in SAP R/3 ( Order is getting created ) but in RWB under message monitoring I am getting " <b>Content of message deleted to save memory</b> " for message content.
Even in SXMB_MONI for that timeframe it is showing " <b>No messages available for selection</b> ".
Can you tell me why I am not getting the message content & the message itelf in SXMB_MONI. What I need to do in order to get the message content while monitoring.

As my payload was of 100 records with 15 fields I guessed that this can be the reason I am getting timed out. So next time I just send 2 records & this time no error & everything went fine.
Now one thing I need to do is to increase the TIMEOUT value with the help of <b>OSS Note 824554</b>.
But still in RWB ( with 2 records also ) under message monitoring I am getting " <b>Content of message deleted to save memory</b> " for message content.
My objective now, is to display the payload which is coming from Web Application via SOAP Adapter in RWB. Can you help me in this.

Not able to change vendor name while creating a DC under a track in NWDS

I am trying to create a new DC under a track in NWDS.I am not able to change the vendor name .It is showing sap.com and the field is greyed out.Did anybody faced this issue earlier?

Accessing Item Details or UDF while creating PO from SO

Hello friends,
I have a question - Can I view Item Details field on the SO items list while creating the PO from that SO, through logistics tab? I am alluding to the left pane of the window which helps us procuring items. If not item details field then UDF? I currently use 2007A version.

Hi Gordon,
Client uses Item Details field instead of description (blank for most items) to fill the long details of item being sold. There are bullet points in Item details as well. There is FMS in Item detail to copy whatever is there in description and gives the sales men opportunity to modify it.

Not able to serach for competencies while creating the COmpetency assessmen

Hi,
I am trying to create a competency assessment template and while doing so I have to select competencies.
I am facing an issue where it keeps erroring "please enter a serach criteria" though I enter 2 search criteria atleast.Also if I select the COmpetency type it works fine.
Secondly how is the data populated in per-competen_elements table?
I created the competency by entering the details on the competency form as a local competency..Is there any other details to be enetered?

It's a good idea to check the include job competences checkbox when creating your competency template.
If you want competences to be appraised, you should use the "Competence Requirements" screen. You can find it if you login as Global Super HRMS Manager, then under the "Career Management" group.
Here you can select the position you want to create competences for and these will show up when the appraisal is published. You can choose to end date a competency if you don't want it to show up in the next appraisal.
So basically, if you enter the competency for a position using the Competency Requirements screen, it will show up in the per_competence_elements table

Here is what I have discovered so far... After calling the Canon help line, I learned that I can "Log onto" my printer by using the IPv4 IP address that can be found by going to the setup screen on the printer, selecting device settings, then Lan Settings, then COnfirm LAN settings then Print LAN details....
I can enter the IP address in my web browser, then I am asked to log in as the Printer Administraitor.
This allows me direct access to the printer, right from my iPhone.
When I have completed this, I can use the airprint feature.
My problem is, I don't want to log in every time. Any advice?

1. started admin server.
2. started nodemanager from C:\bea\wlng400\server\bin\startNodeManager.cmd

This classs is usually found in server\lib\wlng\wlng-management.jar, make sure it has that class and that jar is getting loaded by the server.

Not able to see UDFs created in Pricelist

Hi all,
I have created 2 separate UDF one in Pricelist and second in pricelist row level.
Now when I tried to open pricelist window within Inventory I am not able to see the UDF window.
Please note I have already checked View UDF in main menu

A UDF can only be created at Pricelist level. When you create a UDF in Master Data > Price List you can see this UDF as a column when you open Inventory > Price lists (perhaps after Group drop down)
Please click on Form Setting when you are on the Price Lists window and see if Visible and Active is checked

Not able to see stack trace in JBoss IDE for eclipse2.0

hello im using JBoss IDE for eclipse2.0 version for developing application. but the problem is im not able to see the errors/ error stack trace coming on console.i configured console but im not abloe to see any error. actualy earlier i was using eclipse3.0 but there i could not use the jsp file.i was not able to create a jsp page in my aleady developed application and also syntax is not highlighting in java file. so i switched to JBoss IDE for eclipse2.0 its using jdk1.3 version.
can anyone help me..n can also tel me which version of eclipse i should use. and how to configure eclipse so that i can see the properly highlighted syntax of java code.

I would advise against reverting to very old versions just because you can't get the new versions to work. Try to read the installation instructions and manuals of the new versions and try to get those to work.

Not able to see rollback segment in oracle 10g

I created rollback segment by using command
CREATE ROLLBACK SEGMENT rs1 TABLESPACE rbs_ts
and made it online but not able to see
segment name by using
select * from dba_rollback_segs

Here one thing I would need to mention that those are created by me on last week, but when I check those today, I could not able to see or even admin also not able to see those. For sure no migration and updations happend over the week end, really not able to debug whats the issue around. Unfortunately I haven't taken back up as well.
Please could you help and let me know whats the root cause and how I could able to restore.
