Not able to start remote debug listener
HI,
I'm using SQL Developer 1.1.0.23.64 and have read this article explaining remote pl/sql debugging.
http://sueharper.blogspot.com/2006/07/remote-debugging-with-sql-developer_13.html
When i try to start the debugger listener in SQL Developer (right click the database connection and choosing "remote debug") it seems like that the SQL Developer tries to connect to a listener instead of start listening. This is what console displays:
Debugger attempting to connect to remote process at LocalHost 4000...............Debugger unable to connect to remote process.
I thought that it should start listening instead of trying to connect to some other listener. What do I do wrong?
When I'm using remote debugging from JDeveloper every thing is fine!
Regards
Jacob
Hi
Has someone find an answer to this?
Debugger attempting to connect to remote process at localhost 4000.
...............................Debugger unable to connect to remote process.This is the same message you get when you try to run a debug session under JDeveloper, but with OJVM, not JPDA.
If this is a bug and will be fixed, can the SQL Developer team please make a post?

Not able to start the TNS Listener in OracleXE 10g Database
Hi All,
I have Installed OracleXE 10g database sucessfully, but when i'm trying to open the homepage it is not displaying anything.
Because i have checked in the services the TNSListener has not been started. When i am trying to start the TNSListener it is giving the below description.
Note: The OracleTNSListener service on LocalComputer started and then stopped.
Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.
Please can anybody can help me to resolve the issue.
Regards,
ChakriI had a similar problem after an IT technician installed an instance of Oracle Client on my laptop that was originally configured to run an Oracle instance (server). The issue was resolved after I edited the ORACLE_HOME environment variable so it was pointed to its original location rather than the one of the new client installation . Verify that the ORACLE_HOME environment variable is pointing to your XE server home.

Hello,
one of my VM was working fine, then i copied the entire VM from one OVM server to another. Now I am not able to start that VM.
# xm create vm.cfg
Using config file "./vm.cfg".
Started domain OEL5u2 (id=25)
It does give me the vm ID but it is not listed under "xm list"
# xm list
Name ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s)
Domain-0 0 952 8 r----- 14808.1
again i have to do xm create ..and the story repeats...
I looked into logs and i see following:
[2010-02-04 22:47:52 23777] INFO (XendDomain:1180) Domain OEL5u2 (25) unpaused.
[2010-02-04 22:47:57 23777] WARNING (XendDomainInfo:1898) Domain has crashed: name=OEL5u2 id=25.

[2010-02-04 22:47:58 23777] INFO (image:553) OEL5u2 device model terminated
what's up with " restarting too fast" and how to avoid that ??
-thnxhere is the problem....
My VM is still fine...I moved it back to the old host and it started working again..
moved it back to the new host and it crashed again..
it turned out to be that this new host had 72 GB of memory...hence the VM was crashing.
I made the OVM server to see only 64 GB of memory and then I was able to start the VM on new host as well..
then did some googling and came across this Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=448115
Now I need to check whether i am upto the latest patch vesion for Oracle VM
# cat /etc//redhat-release
Oracle VM server release 2.2.0
# uname -a
Linux test_ovm 2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5xen #1 SMP Fri Oct 9 14:57:31 EDT 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
checking for any patches released after Oracle VM 2.2.0
thnx

Hi,
I try to remote debug via SQL-Developer and create a remote debug listener in my first sqldeveloper.
Then I use a second sqldeveloper and run the following statements as script everything works fine. My first sqldeveloper stops at the breakpoint and I can debug
set serveroutput on;
execute DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP.CONNECT_TCP('myIp',4010);
declare
begin
do_something(2); -- in this function is a breakpoint set
end;
execute DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP.disconnect(' myIp ',4010);
When I try to run the script e.g. in sqlplus I get following stacktrace in my first sqldeveloper console and the listener is closed

Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong, or what's maybe misconfigured?
System Configuration
Client:
Windows 7
SqlDeveloper Version 4.0.0.12 Build MAIN-12.27 - running with jdk1.7.0_25
Database Server:
Oracle 11.2.0.3.0Hi
Has someone find an answer to this?
Debugger attempting to connect to remote process at localhost 4000.
...............................Debugger unable to connect to remote process.This is the same message you get when you try to run a debug session under JDeveloper, but with OJVM, not JPDA.
If this is a bug and will be fixed, can the SQL Developer team please make a post? -
Failed to start remote debug server
I'm having trouble getting xcode to play nicely with my provisioned iPhone under beta 7. When I change my default target to "Device Debug" and do a clean build the following occurs:
1) The code compiles and links
2) The application is installed on the iPhone
3) XCode tries to start the remote debug server and fails with the following message:
Failed to start remote debug server for test.app on Keith's iPhone
The application does get installed on my phone, but I am unable to use xcode to view the logs and perform other debugging related activities.
Has anyone seen this before and know how to fix it?
Thank you,
-KeithThanks for the reply, but it didn't seem to help. Maybe I didn't do it right. I did:
- Delete app from iPhone
- Clean project
- Close project
- Xcode->Empty Caches
- Close Xcode
- Disconnect and reconnect device (via iTunes eject)
- Open project
- Build & Go
Still the same 'please disconnect and reconnect the device' when starting debugserver
I am able to run the app just fine, but can't use Instruments or the debugger -
I'm not able to start new films. Plz help me
I'm not able to Start recent Films as I'm not able to navigate through the new Film-Menues. I have got a Apple TV 1.gen. Even the new Remote with the new Play-button isn't working. Any ideas how to solve the problem?

EinstellungenDo you really mean iOS 5.1, or do you mean iOS 5.0.1? If you do mean iOS 5.1, that has not yet been released yet so you you have a beta version, for which we cannot provide help here. If you are a registered Apple developer, you hvae recourses through which to request assistance and report problems.
If you have iOS 5.0.1, post back with details - your model of iPod (3rd generation or 4th generation), the operating system on your computer, the version of iTunes, and the exact symptoms of the problem - and someone here can probably then offer suggestions.
