Not able to start service of OracleOraHome81Agent in sap 4.7 installation

while installing sap 4.7 on window server 2003   i am  not able to start service of OracleOraHome81Agent during installation of Oracle 8i . if i ignore this error and go further it is giving error in SAP installation

Oracle 8.x is out of support for years already, why do you use such an old database version?
Did you install the database according to the installation guide?

  • Not able to start Service/Server

    HI,
I realize that the folder sharing tab is missing due to disabled Server service. I m trying to activate it but it returns error 193: 0xc1
    Is there a fix around?
    Thanks!

Check the dependences. Either any servis that the trouble making service has problem with has problem to start, or you have not appropriate rings. There is atrick for the case of not having appropriate rights that you start service with elevated SYSTEM rights
with the help of scheduled task.

Thanks John. I got help from Oracle Support team to resolve the issue. This is a Common issue with the 11.1.1.3 version, the services take some time and Sometime start once before the other hence the issue. The issue is resolved after restarting the services manually in order.

    Hi All,
I am having exactly the same problem with the same stack trace. Has anybody have an idea how to fix this?
I have downloaded the Java Identity Management Suite.(java_es-5-identsuite-ga-windows-x86.zip) The first time installation was fine and I was able to bring the Access Manager console. I was able to create users groups etc.
However, when I uninstalled and installed it again, I got exactly the same error described in the thread. Running "amserver start" and "amserver restart" did not help. I did the installation one more time
but again I got the same error.
    Thanks for the help.

    Pawan

A common source of problems like this is putting
jaxp.jar or crimson.jar into the Java system
    extensions directory ($JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/ext),
where it always overrides whatever is supplied in
    common/lib.
So I need you to go into your $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/ext
and make sure you do not have any copies of
crimson or jaxp present there. If you do have them
there, i want you to move them to a seperate dir.
And then try the whole thing all over again.

  • Backwards Compatibility mapper module was not able to start

    Hi ,
We have an issue with our SCOM 2012 agents not getting discovered because the Backwards Compatibility mapper module was not able to start.
I checked few blogs and could see the remediation for SCOM 2007 SP1.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mariussutara/archive/2008/03/11/backwards-compatibility-mapper-fails-to-start-event-on-opsmgr-2007-sp1.aspx
These are in  the DMZ zone and are manually installed. i have bounced the health service folder as remediation but still looks the same.
For test i have set the mssing NetBios name for the server and restarted the service. Still the server is not getting discovered and shows the below error.

    Hi Jesty,
Based on the Article it seems to be for SCOM 2007 SP1.
And as you mentioned you are using SCOM 2007 R2. I see that Microsoft has fixed this issue about the article you have mentioned above.
