Not able to sync

Question

Itunes deleted all the songs on my ipod (nano generation-2), and i can't re-sync it.
..Everytime i try to, the message "Songs on the ipod cannot be synced because all the playlists selected for syncing no longer exist." comes up
...can someone please help me asap?

That is what I figured had happened. When your library exceeds the capacity of your iPod, iTunes will automatically make a playlist to use to sync the Nano. You will be asked if you wish to sync using that playlist. Another thing I need to point out is there is no need to delete playlists from iPod or iTunes, a playlist is simply a list of songs in a specific order or with specific criteria that iTunes/iPod uses to select songs for playback. A playlist does not duplicate files in either iTunes or iPod.
Now, to fix the problem. You simply need to re-build a playlist or a couple of playlists in iTunes to sync the Nano. Change your iPod preferences in iTunes to sync only those specific playlists you make. Hope this helps.
