Not able to synch to outlook

Since my update of Itunes yesterday my iphone no longer is able to sync to outlook. I am running XP professional on a PC.
iTunes recognises the iPhone. It performs a backup which takes half an hour, then it only synchs photos and nothing else. This has never happened previously.
I have read the many other posts; restored my iphone, reinstalled itunes, reset synch history, even removed photos from my camera roll, etc and still nothing. The approporiate tabs are marked for synch but only photos are indicated.
Would appreicate some advice!

There do seem to be some problems synching with Outlook with this iTunes release. I can synch but I get duplicate entries and some entries are lost altogether.
As to back up taking a long time, not sure if this will help but when I had the problem some months ago I had to remove Applications which cache things on the iPhone (such as mbox mail and appsniper) and then reinstall them and back up speeded up again.

I have a new computer which only has Microsoft Vista which comes with Windows Mail, the successor to Outlook Express. Does that mean I am not able to synch my calendar with the iphone? I find that sort of ridiculous.....

As a work around I created a Google Calendar online and go to Safari when I want to look at an entry. You can set it up to send you alerts, so some of the functionality is still there like Outlook on a computer.

You cannot sync Outlook 2011 directly with an iPhone, but if you go to the Tools menu and choose Sync Services, you can have Outlook sync with iCal and Address Book, which will then sync with the iPhone. And if your business is using Microsoft Exchange, you can set the iPhone up to communicate and sync directly with the Exchange server.

Since upgrading to 3.0, I am not able to synch with iTunes.

Can't synch, can only download photos. The computer does not recognize my phone, but it recognizes my other iPod, using the same cord and USB ports. I have a MacBook. Tried installing latest version of iTunes, Tried restarting computer, etc.
All I get is the spinning globe.
However, I can synch address book and iCal using Synch Now

i use Gateway NV56. scrolling works everywhere including FF 3.6 but not in 4.
I just gave up and rolled back to 3.6.
Did all that I could find on the forum update driver//turn off add ons//change config stuff.
FF4 is really awesome to look at and use but this is a major deal breaker for me. anyone anyone find a solution for this.... :(

The issue has been resolved in Firefox 10 which is scheduled for release in a few days from now. This may happen if the system is missing either Visual C++ 2005 SP1 or the .Net Framework 3.5 SP1. Better question: Has ANYONE been able to synch an Outlook 2010 calendar and contacts through iCloud?

So far, all I've seen is problems with synching a PC to iCloud. There's lots of articles on how nice iCloud is, but I doubt that the authors have even tried to synch a PC to iClould. Doesn't appear anyone else has either since there's no Youtube How To's about the subject either.

There are a half a dozen or more altenatives, especially towards the last quarter of this thread

Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer, this is different than update. Also make sure iTunes is up to date.

Outlook 2010/2013 not able to connect to Exchange 2013

Hi, I'm the midst of co-exist between Exchange 2010/2013. I have issues where none of internal users that migrated to Exchange 2013 not able to connect via Outlook 2010/2013. OWA is running fine without issue. Using MCA, the issue due to port is blocked
but I have verified that firewall on Exchange 2013 server is turn off all.
    1. Exchange 2010/2013 cert is using public CA cert.
    2. Both outlook anywhere external URL for Exchange2010/2013 is set to outlook.domain.com. internal pointing to server.domain.com. while autodiscover is set to autodiscover.domain.com.
   3. user mailbox in exchange 2010 do not have any issue
while if I try to logon, the error look like below:
Cannot open your default e-mail forlders. You must connect to microsoft exchange with the current profile before you can synchronuze your folder with your outlook data file (.ost).
what else should I check ?

What server does “outlook.domain.com” and “autodiscover.domain.com” point to, Exchange 2013 FE or 2010 CAS?
You can also do a Outlook Test Email AutoConfiguration by the following steps:
a. While Outlook is running, click the CTRL key and then right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and then select “Test Email Autoconfiguration”.
b. Confirm that your email address is in the address field, uncheck “Use Guessmart” and “secure Guessmart authentication” boxes. Then click the “Test” button.

I am using the Good for Enterprise app to synch my outlook email and when I try to turn on ICloud to synch my music in ITunes I get a warning that I will not be able to synch my Iphone 4S with my computer. Does this mean my office PC or home Mac?

I am using Good For Enterprise on my Iphone 4s to connect with my Office PC Outlook email system. I am having trouble synching my Itunes music from my Mac at home with my IPhone 4s. I am considering using ICloud to share the music as I also have an IPad2. When I go to turn on the ICloud application, I get a message that alerts me to the fact I will no longer be able to synch with my computer. Does that mean with my Office PC and my Outlook email, or my Mac and my home email and other applications? I want to use the ICloud but don't want to screw up my Good for Enterprise application and connectivity with my Office PC and Outlook email. What should I do to be able to update all my tunes and photos on my IPhone 4S and IPad2 from my Mac?

I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.

Notes CREATED on itouch don't synch to Outlook

When I CREATE a new note on my iPod touch, it does not show up as a note in Outlook after I synchronize. This is a new problem. I have been able to successfully transfer NEW notes from the touch to Outlook in the past. As far as I can tell, everything else works. If I edit an already existing note on my touch, the note is updated on Outlook when I synch. If I create or edit a note on Outlook, it is created/updated on the touch when I synch. And I can create new calendar items in my touch and they synch to Outlook.
Any suggestions for how I might be able to fix this?

Make sure the events are being added to the correct Calendar on the Pre. By default events added are set for the Palm Profile, these will not sync back to Outlook. You can change the default in the Preferences and Accounts section of the Calendar App. You can also choose when you create an event.

How can I get my iphone to synch with Outlook? I do not want to use Icloud.

Not sure what you've already tried, but sometimes you have to uninstall iTunes and all it's components as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925, then reinstall iTunes. (This would be necessary if the Outlook plugin is missing or corrupt.) You won't loose your iTunes library or media by doing this.

Missing "message" from above: The iPad "DGMTR" is synced with another iTunes library on DGMTR's MacBook Pro. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library? An iPad can be synched with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iTunes library.
I thought the libraries were the same.

Iphone calendar does not synch with outlook

Starting on Feb 1, my iPhone (5s) does not synch with Outlook (2013). Have tried many things:
1. Building new Outlook data file (.pst)
2. Changing synch settings in iTunes
3. Changing USB cables
4.Removing/reinstalling iTunes and other Aplle software
Problem seems to have started after upgrading iOS and iTunes.
Any idea?

Yes, that does make sense. You can transfer data from the old .pst file without saving it as a .pst file. Archive your current .pst. Then save your contacts as vCards, and save your calendar as an iCalendar file. After creating the new .pst file, you can open the old calendar in the new .pst as well as import the vCards back to your contacts.
Last question, did you run the scanpst.exe program to review your .pst file for corruption? You will find that, if I remember correctly, in the Office program folder. You can search for it. Run that, it prompts you for your .pst file and will scan it for problems. But saying that it started on a specific date would lead me to believe it is something you probably added that day. Out of all of the time I've been using Outlook 2007, 2010, and 2013 with my iPhones, and I've had them since the first one, I've only had 2 small events, and copying over the .pst has fixed them both.

Not able to create meeting request in outlook using desktop connection

We installed the desktop connect professional edition and integrated MS outlook and CRM business activity.
Our goal is to trigger an outlook meeting request (not an outlook appointment).
We tried to configure this by creating a CRM business activity and syncing with outlook but does not seem to work.
We are able to create an outlook appointment but not a meeting request.
What we envision is the business activity needs to trigger a accept/reject/ reschedule meeting request functionality. Only when the user accepts the meeting request it should sync the outlook calendar / SAP calendar.
Is this functionality available out-of-box or does it need enhancements to the interface ?
