Not able to use Apple tv across subnet

Hi Guys,
I have made a test setup which contain an cisco 2600 router, apple tv and Macbook pro with 10.9.2 OSX. Its pretty simple setup. One interface(Fa0/0) of the cisco router is connected to apple TV via ethernet cable in an network 10.0.1.0/24 and another interface (Fa0/1) is connected to Macbook pro in network 10.0.2.0/24 via ethernet cable. Apple TV network ip is 10.0.1.2 whereas macook ip is 10.0.2.2. I am able to succesfully ping from macbook to apple tv, but not able to discover apple tv at all on my macbook. I tried every method, allowed udp port 5353 on router for bonjour discovery , but still no luck. Can any gentleman help me on this?

Yes, we can mirror it across subnet. Thats what I am trying to figure out. People had done this eariler.

Not able to use Apple TV Home Sharing when internet down

I am encountering an odd problem.
I have been using Apple TV ever since the 1st Gen and have been using it to stream content from my iMac using Home Sharing.
It's all been working without incident until the past 2 weeks as my internet connection has been spotty and dropping out for 30 mins - 2 hours at a time.
When the internet is down I am able to browse my itumes library, look to see what is there, no issues.
But when I try to play the content I get the spinning wheel indicating it's loading content but nothing loads.
I've tried resetting the Apply TV. Restarting iTunes, etc, etc - nothing works.
It only starts to work again once the internet connection comes back - then I am able to play content.
This is odd as it's all offline content (subscribe to many podcasts that download automatically and want to play them via Apple TV from my iMac iTunes).
Has anyone else had similar issues and have a workaround? Or is this a new "bug" that has to be corrected by Apple?

i have the same problem when I go on holiday.
i Take my airport express to create a local wifi without interne So I can use home sharing from my laptop to apple tv for children animation movies or watch our own series.
1) if you wait several minuts the spinning wheel will disappear and the content will start.
2) IF you want it quicker when you are offline> launch it from your mac then airplay it (via the iTunes airplay icon near the fast forward button of the video) then it starts immediately.
This is an issue that only affects Apple TV not being connected to internet when trying to retrieve content from Apple TV via home sharing.
Let me know if both workarounds works for you the same way it works for me.

Hello all.
I recently bought online a 200$ Apple Gift Card for buying apps for the iPAD.
I can't seem to be able to do that. My gift card has a number and a pin. Does this mean I can only use it phisically to buy in the store?
I just want to buy apps.

You do need an iTunes-Gift Card instead - Your card can be used for shopping at the Apple Online Store.

The iPod's firmware is corrupt. You'll need to restore it again in iTunes. If necessary, place the iPod in recovery mode for iTunes to recognize the device. Use the instructions in this Apple support document to walk you through the process of placing the iPod Touch into recovery mode.

Sign out from your pple Id on your Device and Go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and then Sign In with your Apple Id here and Under your Primary Email Address click on Resend Next to Verification Email Sent. Now Go to your Email Account and Verify your Apple Id again by clicking in the Link inside the Mail that you might have received from Apple. Now Sign In on your Device and try to make a Purchase and if it is for the first time then you will be asked to Review your Account and if you have entered your Credit/Debit card in your Account then you will have to just Enter your 3 Digits CVV Number and then click on Done. And then you can try downloading any Application from AppStore or Music from iTunes Store and check if its working.

TS1398 After upgrade to iOS 6 i am not able to use wifi.

Connected, but no wifi traffic (at home).
After upgrade to iOS 6 i am not able to use wifi. I am connected to my home wifi but no trafic is coming through (safari, skype, twitter, app store). I have even tried recovery of my iPhone 4S using iTunes as well as using iPhone. But without effect.

Well, everything that you have bought with her Apple ID prior to getting your own Apple ID is forever hers. Apple will not transfer content from one ID to another. But in the case of the Mac, contact iTunes Customer Service and request that they send your issue to the Account Security Team and ask that the Mac be released form your mother's account so you may register it with your account. Then you can accept the iLife apps into your account for any future updates.
