Not able to use phone

I tried updating my iphone 4s with the ios 8.3 and I got a message on my screen that said plug into iTunes and I cant get out of the message like it takes up my whole screen and whenever I reset my phone or turn it off the message is still there and I cant use my phone , cause the update isn't working on my phone im stuck with the same message on my phone and I cant use it please help I need my phone to work

The only test you can do (as recommended by BT Retail call centre) is to unplug everything from all of your telephone sockets. this must include any DIY extension kits, double adaptors, extension cables/leads. as well as sky boxes, routers, alarms, phones, answering machines, care alarms.
Then plug a known working corded telephone into  the main socket ( or what you think is the 1st socket on the system from where the line comes into your premises)
Make a couple of outgoing calls, get someone to call you.
Is there noise on the call?
Does the phone actually ring or does it "trip"
As long as you have done as much as can to prove the fault is not in your premises you "should" not be charged for the visit.
However, to cover themselves the BT Retail Call centre will always read the standard message about call out charges.

    It sounds like the battery might have gone bad, and is swelling and causing the symptoms you describe.  Do not attempt to use the phone, but take it to Apple for evaluation.

    As newer iPhones and iOS versions are made, apps start to drop support for the older versions of the iOS. It looks like you have fallen victim to this. I commend you for sticking with the original iPhone until now, but it looks like it's time for an upgrade if you want to use apps that have dropped support.

    That situation went from inconvenient to complicated quickly.  Wait for any pending orders to drop off, wait for things to clear up, wait till your upgrade comes up and then upgrade when your contract is fulfilled.  I would have suggested a replacement phone, I know, with only a month left why couldn't you just upgrade early, but these situations where people try to upgrade early always end horribly and once a phone order starts, it almost cannot finish until something winds up shipped received and returned.  Sorry this happened the way it did.  Definitely not efficient.

    I have a iphone 4 which was purchased in the UK 2 yrs back. I use this phone in india. Since today morning the screen has become unresponsive and i am not able to use the slider to unlock the screen to be able to make or recieve calls or perform any other fuction on my phone. I spoke to apple customer care in india about this problem and they suggested to try restoring the phone which didnt work out. Now they say that I will have to get this repaired in the UK since apple doesnt have apple stores and service centers in India. I think it is some hardware issue. I am not in a position to send it back to UK since i dont have any friends or relatives there in the UK nor i am traveling to the UK at this point in time. Pls help me out and suggest how can i get my phone replaced in India.

    Please do not give me advice like:
    switch proxy to auto
    turn the flight mode on and off
    turn the iphone on and off
    release the ip
    recovery the network settings
    recovery firmware
    I have tried all these, but did not work.
    PS to apple:
    I really did not expect this kind of trouble. If I would want to waste my time "repairing my device", I would buy an android phone!!!!!!

    This helped me solve the problem:
    I have changed the security from TKIP to AES and now my wifi works fine /sofar/.

    If you can access Facebook while on Wifi at home, but you are unable to access it while away running on your carrier's 2G network, I could phone your carrier.  You have already completed the Cellular Data troubleshooting for the iPhone, so any limitations keeping your from connecting to Facebook over cellular will have to be answered by your carrier.

    It is locked to your sisters carrier.
    She would have to ask her carrier if they unlock iPhones and if she qualifies for this service.

    Unlikely as you do not meet there requirements for unlocking.
    Have your friend the provided the phone contact them.  Based on your statements I am concluding he was or still is an AT&T customer, that is one of the requirements of getting the device unlocked.

    But I am not able to use GoogleTalk via WiFi.
    Since I don't want to connect my phone via service provider, so I have keep "data services" option off.
    I am able to use internet and all other apps via WiFi, but just 1 app that is not running is "GoogleTalk"!!
    I am not able to log in on GoogleTalk. It displays error that, "Data Service Unavailable".
    What should I do?
