Not able to use win 8.1

While in USA I purchased my Sony vaio pc with win 7 preloaded  in sept 2012 , a few days lated Microsoft announced upgrade to win 8  and my son purchased it online  and upgraded to win 8.Everything was fine until last year when Microsoft upgraded
win 8 to win 8.1 ,I tried to log in to the mail app , it did not respond.After doing what I was prompted to do I get the following message  for every App that I want to install  or run , We'r
sorry but something went wrong .Your account wasn't changed to Microsoft account . Code -xd00000bb
I use my Microsoft mail Id   to install Apps
This is  frustrating . I might as well revert back to windows 7 .
Can you help me .I am currently in Mumbai India .

Hi,
This might be caused by a Corrupt Microsoft Account settings or the sign-in assistant service is not started, or you Can’t connect to the sync service.
First, check whether Microsoft Account  sign-in Assistant service is started in this way:
type “services.msc” at the command line windows the find the Microsoft Account sign-in Assistant service and start it.
Besides, try to run the Microsoft account troubleshooter, The Microsoft Account Troubleshooter scans a Windows 8 system for issues and repairs problems that are found in relation to your Microsoft Account:

  • Dynadock U3.0 - Not able to use Ethernet port after Win 8.1 update

    Hi everybody,
    i am using a Dynadock u3.0 dock with my Vaio SCP 13.
    Since I updated my device to Windows 8.1 Update 1 I am not able to use the Ethernet port of the Dynadock.
    Before that everything worked fine.
    I am not able to reinstall the drivers correctly (tried 7.6m0, 7.5m2). While the driver insaller tries to start i am getting an error message, that the installer is not able to set a bunch of registry Keys (SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DisplayLinkGA\D evice1) (till 0). (Image 1)
    If i ignore those messages and do install the driver, the Ethernet port will remain uninstalled in the device manager. (Image 2)
    If I try to install the driver manually (DisplayLink Network Adapter NCM), Ill get an error message that a driver was found but that the access was denied. (Image 3)
    I started the safe mode and could install the driver. But if I reboot to normal mode, the device could not be started.
    I also tried to disable UAC and I am logged in as the "real" administrator.

    BTW: If I unzip the installer (7.6m0) and install the *inf for the right ven&dev (4503) it still does not work...

    After Windows 8.1 upgrade, you should also update the Display Link driver/software
    This is very important!
    The latest driver can be downloaded here:

    Note: the old version should be removed!

  • Not able to use Visual studio 2010 editor intelligence while running SDK sample code ?

    whenevr i start sdk sample project in visual studio i can build it ,debug it ,run it but the problem is that VS 2010 editor showing lots of red lines under many lines of code which on Mouse hover show some kind of error(mostly _____ is undefined) moreover i am not able to use intelligence feature of VS editor and i have to check reference of SDK everey time .what is the solution to this problem .

    Quicken Essentials 2010 has less features than Quciken 2007.  Keeping track of investments is one feature I need and Quicken Essentials does not include that function.  I may have to consider others financial software, such as iBank4, Money4, iFinance, and Money Well.

    switch proxy to auto
    turn the flight mode on and off
    turn the iphone on and off
    release the ip
    recovery the network settings
    recovery firmware
    I have tried all these, but did not work.
    PS to apple:
    I really did not expect this kind of trouble. If I would want to waste my time "repairing my device", I would buy an android phone!!!!!!

    Well, everything that you have bought with her Apple ID prior to getting your own Apple ID is forever hers. Apple will not transfer content from one ID to another. But in the case of the Mac, contact iTunes Customer Service and request that they send your issue to the Account Security Team and ask that the Mac be released form your mother's account so you may register it with your account. Then you can accept the iLife apps into your account for any future updates.

    The iPod's firmware is corrupt. You'll need to restore it again in iTunes. If necessary, place the iPod in recovery mode for iTunes to recognize the device. Use the instructions in this Apple support document to walk you through the process of placing the iPod Touch into recovery mode.

    In iTunes I have an account balance that I am not able to use. I tried to buy different items and it wont allow it, but I can buy "FREE" ones. Is there a min amount that I am requaired to have in my account? OR is there some other reason why I am not able to spend out of my account. I used a 50 gift card and spent all but 6 bucks. Now its requiering a credit card or gift card code. But I still have a balance.

    Are you attempting to purchase items from teh iTunes Apps store?
    If you ar ein Canada, you cannot use gift card balance to purchase apps.
    You can only purchase songs, videos or movies with a gift card.
    You need a CC to purchase apps in Canada.

    If you can access Facebook while on Wifi at home, but you are unable to access it while away running on your carrier's 2G network, I could phone your carrier.  You have already completed the Cellular Data troubleshooting for the iPhone, so any limitations keeping your from connecting to Facebook over cellular will have to be answered by your carrier.

    You need to add it to one of FilterPermission objects (depending on what you need either Administrator Filter Permission or Non-Administrator Filter Permission).
    Go to All Resources, locate Filter Permission, open one of them and add your attribute to the Allowed
    Attributes under Permitted Filter Attributes tab.
