Not all Anchor Points get Corners

Hi ---
I.e. I draw with the pen tool a rectangle... When I click with the direct selection tool on the left side anchors,
none of them have the corner widget... The right side anchors / both have corner widgets appearing.
I have tried clicking the left-side anchors and converting them to 'corners' both nothing happens...
I simply do not get it....
Please help

for the sake of making it easy to explain... I was actually drawing a 5 point object.
Be that as it may... Something is not right with this tools....
I delete all the layers in the document, tried again - but same problem...
Then I created a brand new document and did the whole thing all over, this time the corners are there...
Aside from this incident - which seems to be related to a currupted document, I have to say that Illustrator (as great as it is) is a completely erratic application !

Show not selected anchor points (and connect)

Hello.
Every now and then I have the problem in Illustrator that I want to connect two anchor points with the pen tool. The two anchor points belong to different objects. Is there any way to always show all anchor points. Today I have to select one of the object to see the first anchor point I want to connect. And then hovering the point over the plaece where I presume the second anchor point is located until the mouse icon indicates that I have the pointer at an anchor point.
A second question: Is there any way to connect more than two “lines” to an anchor point? I.e intersect and connect an anchorpoint in the middle of a line with a third anchor point.

My thought was that if I could see all anchorpoints of all objects, without selecting the objects. Ie. se all "white" anchor points, when I select them they will become "filled/blue".

Illustrator free distort does not transform anchor points

When using Illustrator CS5 after applying the Free Distort effect, the anchor points remain in the original location. How can I get the anchor points to align to the transformed object?

It is an effect so it does not really change the object. That's why you can always go back and change or delete the effect.
If you want the effect permanently applied select Object > Expand Appearance.

Not all Pictures are getting sync

I have the New iPad and Windows 7 with the latest version of iTunes. I have a folders with many pictures in them. I am trying to sync these pictures to the iPAd. I select the folders I want and the picture start to sync but not all the picture copy over to the ipad I have cleared the itune photo cash folder. Please help I bought this so I could copy my pictures to it and it is not working right. Please help.

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right-click context menu while saving an image.

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.

HT201317 Not all my pictures get uploaded to iCloud

I took several pictures with my iPod, but when I went to look at them on my computer not all of them were in my iCloud Photo Stream folder. The missing pictures are in the Camera Roll and Photo Stream folders on my iPod but not all of them make it through iCould onto my computer.

The fastest is connect with the dock cable to your Mac.

Not all text messages get sent from Droidx or Droidx2

My family has stock Droid x and Droid x2s. We are using the Text App that comes with the phones. Both phones have this same problem.
Sporadically, text messages do not get sent. They remain hung up, showing the green 'sending' arrow. None of the message goes out.
I have been able to identify the problem, but not reason, in one instance.

It appears that text in a message is broken up into 145 character chunks (probably for SMS limits).
Notation on my text app shows pages and characters left.( e.g. 145/1 for 145 characters
left, page 1 or 83/2 for 83 characters left on page 2)
1. I'm not sure that sending text from my phone via email did not add/subtract characters.
2. The 'P" in page one is the first character.
3. The 'S' in Start page two is the beginning of page 2
4. The '¿' (an upside down question mark) at the very end of the text message is the problem.
If I replace it with any standard keyboard characters, the message gets sent.
If this is located anywhere on the second page, the text won't send. Anywhere on the first
page, it sends OK.
The fact that this character (Hex 'bf', for those that care) can be sent on the first page smells
like a bug.

To answer your questions:
No, yes, yes, no . . . Just kidding!
Anyway, I had never used a third party app. I just downloaded Handcent SMS
texting app. It exhibited the same issue that the default app does.
The way the message behaves I'm sure it doesn't even get to the point of
trying to send the message. The sending arrow on the message stays with the
message forever, or till I delete it, and the Handcent app shows its'
"sending" spinning gear on these messages forever. Other successful
messages don't show these icons after the message is sent.
If I send a 'normal' message, the green arrow hangs around for a while and
then disappears once the message is sent.
I have tried to send this message to a friend who has an iphone and is on a
different carrier. It behaves the same, and does not leave my phone.
I have sent this message to myself from my wife's Droid X2 with the same
symptoms.
The failing text I sent you before was what I used to trouble shoot the
problem ( to narrow down the 'offending' character). Below is a copy of the
original message that fails. If you could cut and paste this into phones you
folks have, you could try to send it yourself! Note the "¿" around the OK.

didn't send. when I remove the upsidedown question mark, it sends OK

Not all fields are getting updated in transformation

Dear all,
Please help me in the following issue:
I have the following scenario:
DSO1 and CUBE1. From DSO1 to CUBE1 I have transformation. Fields are mapped one to one.
Some of the fields are getting updated in transformation (22 fields) and some of them are not updated in transformation. (2 - storage location and steel grade).
The fields exist in DSO 1 but don't go into cube.
I did the following:
1. deleted transformation and dtp, recreate = > not working
2. copied the cube, and create new transformation and DTP...not working.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi Ramona,
Storage location (standard infoobject 0STOR_LOC) has plant as compunding object, check whether this is the issue ? (may be check with Steel grade infoobject also).
Else, do some RSRV checks on the DSO and Infoobject, if it doesn't bring up any issue, raise a message with SAP.
Check your BW Support Pack level , is it the latest ? Give more details about the scenario ?

Not all songs are getting synced into my iPhone

Why is this? I have no clue. Only ~200 of my ~500 songs are getting uploaded.
Also, what's the best way to store songs in my computer, such that it will not get duplicated on my iTunes and/or iPhone?
Currently, I store the song as "Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven" on my computer.

Are you manually managing music and videos, or syncing?
If syncing, do you have all songs and playlists or selected playlists selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences?
Under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences, do you have Sync only checked songs and videos selected?
If so, are all songs selected or checked in your iTunes music library?
Also, what's the best way to store songs in my computer, such that it will not get duplicated on my iTunes and/or iPhone?
When importing songs from another source besides the iTunes Store or when imported from a music CD, there is an iTunes option to copy files to iTunes Music Folder when adding to library, which is available at iTunes preferences under the Advanced tab below General.

Save a calendar list as a template without data - not all views are getting saved

I have read plenty of articles showing how to save a list as a template and create a new list from that template. I have a very large calendar list that I want to save as a template. I do not need that data as it is last years. All I want to do is save it
as a template and create a new list for 2014 using that template.
Following the process, everything worked fine, but the template that got saved did not save all of the views. I have searched all over for a solution, but no luck. This calendar list has every user as a view, so there are a lot of views created.
Is there a limit for the number of views in a list that would be saved? How do i create a new calendar with the same views. I do not need that old data.

LR 6 stalls on local folder import. Not all my pics get imported.

LR 6 stalls on Import. I'm only importing from a local folder and it keeps stalling and not importing all my pics. Those pics were exported from Apple Photos to a local folder which I'm trying to
to add to LR 6. Nothing is connected to my computer. I've tried many times over to remove the folder in LR and add it again but it behaves the same.

Actually I have more info now. Poked around on LR as well. I DO see the pixel in LR. BUT, it's only for a split second...after in fully renders, it's gone.
Maybe the preview of each pick has the pixel, but full res Master does not? Isn't there a difference b/w what "preview" you see in Aperture and LR?
Regardless, it must be a hot-pixel in the camera. I have done more importing and it appears to be on a small set of pics from 2-3 years ago. Not on my most recent pics...yet.

It's not the only text on Web I meet that is not smoothed. 98% of text has great smoothing, other 2% doesn't have smoothing and looks ugly. How to fix it?

Anyway, see Gentoo fonts thread for the state-of-the-art in font rendering - currently, Infinality's freetype patches.

The backspace key does not remove anchor points along the lasso tools selection path.

I have the trial version of photoshop cc, Windows 7.

Sounds like you don't have all update installed. Use menu Help>About Photoshop should show 14.1.1 if all update are installed.

Automated list of anchor points out of AI CS4?

hi there, I need to get a list of all anchor points in a vector based picture. The aim is to define the polygons that compose the picture in order to have a map of different clickable areas. Has anyone an idea if/how this could be done? Would save me a lot of time that I'd prefer spending creatively instead of jotting down the numbers
On the picture you see one polygon with the x-y-coordinates e.g., I'd need a list of all polygons' x-y-coordinates...any suggestion will be appreciated a lot!!! many thanks, Fantasmorama

Something with a script.... Look at this site to get some idea: http://www.illustrationetc.com/AI_Javascripts/PathScripts.htm. Should not be too difficult to iterate through all objects and their paths and dump the coordinates to a file.

Direct select tool won't select anchor points

I can't get the direct select tool to select an anchor point on an embedded picture. I'm trying to squash a square image, but the direct select tool will only select the entire object, not individual anchor points. It worked in version 10, but in CS3 13.0.2 it just gives me the solid points. What changed?

I have AI 8, 10, and 12 installed on this PC and on a Mac in my studio, so I'm not relying on (my failing) memory.

PS CC - how do I select individual anchor points of a shape?

In PS CS 6 it used to be possible to draw a shape, like a rectangle, and then use the direct selection tool to select and move one corne of the rectangle. However, in PS CC this does not work anymore. When I try to use the direct selection tool, all anchor points remain selected and so I can't move a single point, just all of them at once. What might I be doing wrong? Did something change in the CC version?

I seem to be able to use the Direct Selection tool to edit points, e.g., on a rectangular shape, to select one only and move it around.
When I select the shape layer then choose the Direct Selection tool (white arrow), the path shows.
When I click on the path all the points show, with "hollow" handles.
When I click on only one point it turns black, then I can move it with another click and drag. In fact, just one click, hold until the point turns black, then drag seems to work.
Of course, you've got to be VERY accurate where you click.
And Trevor, I seem to be able to drag a box around several points, then move them. What am I doing right, accidentally or on purpose? Is there some kind of bug being invoked in certain documents maybe that I'm not seeing in my testing here?
