Not all episodes in purchased and downloaded TV series will play
I have downloaded a TV series and it says that all of the episodes have been downloaded but two of them won't play. Any ideas how to fix this? I can't delete them to try downloading again as it won't let me!

Get a copy of the entire iTunes library and copy it to the computer that you will be using from now on.
iTunes Plus songs will still be playable, as will any "normal" MP3s that were purchased from Amazon or ripped from CD.
Any "protected" content from the iTunes Store, such as movies, shows, or pre-2009 songs, will not be playable. If you need to replace any such items with playable copies, a cost will be incurred. Make sure to account for this in the property settlement. -
Why won't the songs I purchased and Downloaded to my iPhone play?
I purchased an albumen from iTunes, downloaded to iPhone, played great. Few weeks later I purchased some more, downloaded to iPhone. only some of the songs on albums play and the 1st albumen does not play at all. I downloaded them all again with same results. I am a novice.
If you are playing the Movie in the Videos app and it is not play.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
Then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. -

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)

Regarding iTunes U courses, would I be able to link to books/sites (like say an amazon hardback book or link to a kindle book they can purchase and download). Considering that not all books are available on iBooks I'm hoping this is allowed. Also the possibility on monetizing since amazon gives commission for linking.
This question is for both the uncredited (private) courses and the bigger accredited accounts. I am a developer trying to learn how to help my area schools and also have some ideas for my own courses. Obviously keeping within the iTunes U app would be preferred in most cases (to the learning experience) since they can take notes and see them within the app itself.
If the reply comes from a non-apple employee please let me know (or better yet, link to) where that is clarified. I would hate to develop something just to later find out it is against the apple iTunes U agreement.Fair question
And, to be even more fair, I have to tell you that I get that every single day. And it's getting worse (or better, depending on how you look at it).
I always try to let people know it's a long way until you get to a confortable point, a point where you can create something. And that's exactly what I am trying to do, or at least asking how/if I should do it. And then I let them know where to start. That's what I want.

I have a new Macbook pro. I downloaded all previous Itunes purchases and then sync my IPhone. The New songs that I purchased today appear on the IPhone however it will not play. How do I fix the issue with my IPhone?

I'd start off your troubleshooting process by deleting and redownloading the songs:
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
Download your previously purchased song from this list.

I want to install Lion on an external hard drive. The OS was purchased and downloaded through the App Store but I do not know where the file is.
If you downloaded the installer it will be in your applications folder. Failing that use spotlight start typing Install and it should show up.
This is assuming you downloaded the installer from the app store, and didn't just install it onto your mac. If all you have done is install it on your mac. Go to your purchases Lion should show up. Then click download.

Today while driving home from vacation i purchased and downloaded the new Nichleback CD, when i got home, i plugged my phone into my computer to update everything and it pulled up a message saying something like "this computer has recognized an iPhone that is in memory update, you will need to restore the phone" or something similar to that, it had a picture of the power cord plugging into iTunes on the screen and i couldn't get rid of it, so i had to plug it in and restore everything, when it was done i noticed that not only did i loose the new CD that i had just purchased today but i lost all of the music that i've purchased since the last update. How can i restore this music without purchasing it all again?
Media should be included with the backup of the computer that all users should be creating on a regular basis as part of basic computer/data maintenance.
In the event that you do not have a backup (stop being lazy.... keep backups of YOUR data and other important files)
If you are in the US and running iTunes 10.3 or later, it is possible to redownload music via iCloud from purchased history.
If you are not in the US or for some reason cannot run iTunes 10.3 or later, contact iTunes customer support and ask very nicely for the opportunity to redownload the content. They are not required to provide this opportunity.
It is also possible to transfer content from an iDevice that was purchased via iTunes. On the new computer, sign into the iTunes account, authorize the computer, connect the device then select File > Transfer Purchases.
The simplest method of all is to transfer or copy the media (and other important files) from the old computer or the backup of the old computer. Typing "move itunes library" into the search bar here or into google will reveal step by step instructions on how to do this. -
My computer was stolen, I just purchased a new one and I want to redownload my old purchases. Not all of my purchases are on my itouch. How do I get the other purchases back?
You can recover any purchased songs that are on iPods using the procedure here.
If this is not available, you can ask Apple to allow you to download your music again. Note that, first, they DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS. Purchase of music from the iTunes store entitles you to one download of that item. Second, note that if Apple does allow you to download a second time, they have to pay royalties on each download, whether you pay for it or not. Last, if they allow it, please back up your purchases.

I have purchased and downloaded an album, but some of the songs did not download correctly as the songs are not complete. How do I redownload them without purchasing the album again.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the track and try redownloading fresh copies.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.) -

Where are you watching these shows? On an iOS device? If you are, look in the Videos app on the device, not in the iTunes app.

The iTunes library on our laptop is correct and up to date with recent purchases and downloads; however, our desktop does not have any of these when using it. Home sharing is turned "ON" with both computers. Why is the desktop not showing the same content and how do I resolve this?

You should be able to copy it from your iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases, or you should be able to re-download it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes Store home page - if that says that it's already downloaded, then that implies that it's already on your computer

I purchased and downloaded a book in iBooks. I read about 16 chapters. The next time I opened the app to read the book, no words loaded on the pages. It would go to the table of contents, but not to pages in chapters. Any ideas?
Try to reset your phone, hold the home/sleep buttons until it reboots and the apple logo appears, don't release the buttons till apple logo appears. If no luck there, Resync the book. Or delete it and redownload it. Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
