Not All Installed Styles Appear In Styles Panel Menu

I have many layer styles installed - over 100. I do this because I like to experiment with a lot of styles during the creative process and prefer to have them quickly available. When I click the panel menu icon in the Styles panel, the list of available styles fills my screen. However, not all of the installed styles appear.
• Is this a bug?
• Is there a technical limit to the number of styles that can be loaded at any one time?
• How does Photoshop decide which styles to show if it doesn't show all installed styles?
• Does where the styles are installed (program presets folder vs. user appdata folders) make a difference?
• Is there any way to scroll the list of styles when there are too many to display in the pop-up window?
The computer I use (a work laptop) is running Photoshop CS 6 and Windows Home Premium x64. It has a 3td gen. Core i7 processor with 8gb of RAM and a dedicated video card. Thanks in advance for any insight/help.

Styles need to be loaded. You can liad tem from the style palette, prom the preset manager or drop saved Photoshop layer style files on to Photoshop. Photoshop does have limits. However I have a few hundreds layer styles loaded and they are all listed in the styles palette.

Not all installed fonts are available in Illustrator CS4

Hi,
I've noticed that not all of my fonts are available in Illustrator CS4. My list appears as usual in the drop down menu, but many of my fonts have somehow become incomplete. For instance, only 3 weights of Helvetica are available, instead of the 20 or so I have installed on my Macbook Pro. I use Linotype Fontexplorer, and all of my fonts appear without problems in the browser window, but not in Illustrator.
I've deleted the Adobefontlist file with no result, and I've also tried uninstalling the fonts and reinstalling them with no result. I've had a few searches to see if anyone else has had the same problem, and some people have similar issues but not exactly the same. I've also tried some of the adobe troubleshooting steps with no result.
Any help with this would be gratefully received. Somebody must have experienced the same problem?

Thanks Jesseham, a good suggestion. All fonts within the families are ticked like you say, and I've just performed a clear out of the caches but still no success I'm afraid.
I've attached a picture of my font list in Illustrator in the hope that someone might see something that I'm not. As you can see from the list, Helvetica Neue LT Std is in the list as Helvetica Neue LT Std 85 Heavy and only has the option of 'Regular' under the font style drop down menu. It should be just Helvetica Neue LT Std in the font list drop down menu and have all of the available weights in the font style drop down menu.
Any thoughts?

Windows 7: not all ICC profiles appear in print setup. [was: Photoshop CS6]

Although they are in the correct folder in Windows 7, not all my ICC profiles appear in print setup.
eg I have recently installed one for a Museo paper but it does not show in the list.
I use the Canon Pro9500 Markll.
Has anyone any idea to fix this?

Thanks for your reply. I have been using this printer for some time but with a much earlier version of Photoshop. With that combination, all of my Hahnemuehle papers (profiles downloaded from them) were listed.
I can't understand why a more recent Photoshop should have fewer settings. Should I remove the profiles from the spool>drivers>color folder & download them afresh, perhaps?

Try deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-try the photo sync and see if they all then copy over - the location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page.

Not all computers showing up in observe panel

I have selected 23 computers in my ARD panel and clicked Observe. However, only 20 computers are showing up in the window. When I try to scroll to the right, the remaining two computers are hidden to the side, but sometimes scrolling doesn't work for a reason I can't figure out.
In fact, no matter how many computers I have selected in the list, it always leaves 2 off.
I've already looked in the settings panel and set the # of computers per screen as high as it will go, and it still only shows a partial list.

Sounds like you have "Compilations" switched on.
In Itunes look at "get info" for the missing artists and see if the part of a compilation box is checked.
On you iPod go to settings>compilations and toggle it to off
To get the artists to show up on the Ipod you only need to do step 2.
When you have the compiliations features switched on (in either iTunes or iPod) artists that only have albums that are compilations will not show up in the artist list.
As for your other problem you can sort the columns by clicking on the title bar at the top, to sort by artist or you can add something to the "Greatest Hits" album title to differentiate it - for example all my greatest hits albums are titled GH - Artist so I know which one is which

Not all songs / artists appearing

I just manually transferred songs from my Mac (OS X 10.5.8) onto my Blackberry, with 16GB media card. My songs are sorted into artist / album folders (done automatically by iTunes). Most appear fine, but some songs and some entire artists do not appear at all in the BB.
I've tried a battery pull / reboot.
Other forums say to delete the BBThumbs.dat file, to get it to remake this. I've selected the SHOW HIDDEN FILES option, and looked at these BBThumbs.dat files. The problem is that when I look in the folders that are not appearing, there is NO BBThumbs.dat file (which presumably is why that folder of songs is not appearing!).
How to I get it to make this file and show these songs?

There are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song has no album name associated with it or 2) the song is marked as part of a compilation.
If tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances (for instance I read somewhere that if you have at least two tracks with different album names the rest will appear), however the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous to all the blanks in place of a title. Also if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. Setting "Compilations" on your iPod main menu prevents you getting lots of single artist entries when you load an album by various artists.

Not ALL Aperture photos appear in iWeb

When I insert photos from Aperture, not the complete content of the Aperture album / library appears in the iWeb drawer. Some photos are missing.
What could I do?

By not showing in the iWeb drawer do you mean in the Media pane? If that's it are they not showing or showing as blank/black thumbna?. Is there anything different about those pictures that don't show up, i.e. those that have been edited by Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, etc.?
Can you see all of the photos in that Aperture album in iPhoto? If so then the problem looks like it resides only in iWeb. If not then maybe there's something wrong with those files as I alluded to above.

Not all my movies appear in the Cloud

I think this may be in the right section, but forgive me if it's not.
I've not long updated my OS on my Macbook(long story, not going to go into it here), and now have the latest iTunes which shows content being stored in the Cloud.
I don't normally use all this Cloud stuff, but when I have my iPhone connected to wifi, I noticed that a movie was showing up in the videos app.
At first I thought I'd somehow accidentally synced the movie to my phone, but when I switched wifi off, it disappeared.
It wasn't until I booted up my Macbook that I put two and two together.
However, I actually have 4 movies on my Macbook.
Predators(the one that showed up when my iPhone was connected to wifi), and the Family Guy Star Wars trilogy.
The latter 3 don't not show as being in the Cloud, even though the little cloud icon appears next to the movie tab in iTunes.
I'm just wondering why the Family Guy movies aren't showing up in the Cloud and if there's a way to change this.

As I stated, all 4 movies were part of a blu-ray triple play package(blu-ray,DVD and digital copy).
The digital copies were all redeemed and downloaded from the iTunes Store.

Switch from syncing with palm to outlook -- not all calendar entries appear in outlook

I've been syncing (usb/cradle) my treo 700p with palm desk on a vista laptop with no problems, but want to switch back to using outlook 2003. Everything EXCEPT calendar syncs fine. When I sync calendar nothing later that 2004 appears -- these were items that were in outlook when I switched to palm. I've tried deleting them in outlook and resyncing with 'handheld overwrites desktop', but still only the old ones appear! Please help!

"The system is not fully installed" message appears after I rebooted my Windows XP.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1011 that I recently rebooted (returned it to factory settings). It has no disk drive, so I cannot put in the Windows XP CD-ROM disc to fix the problem. I DO however have an external mac disk drive. Will this work if I put it into
my Inspiron? Please refrain from linking me to Microsofts page where they "fix the problem", I find it useless.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I this fixed need ASAP because I am going to sell this soon!

try booting your S10 with the red backward arrow (one key recovery) key on the top of the keyboard. this should boot the recovery partition, where you should be given choices of how you want to recover the system. i've used it, and it took 5 minutes to restore my system to factory configuration. give this a try and let us know how it goes. if it doesn't work, call lenovo for warranty repair. i heard the turnaround time is very quick for warranty repair.

Not all Albums show in Cover Flow

When I use Coverflow not all my albums appear on my iPod. They do appear in the Albums selection area in music on my iPod though and also appear in Coverflow in iTunes.
Any ideas?

Does the problem persist if you reset the iPod? Cover flow order is affected by the fields Sort Artist, Artist, Sort Album, Album with any leading "The" gerneally ignored. Maybe a combination of these values makes the albums you are looking for appear somewhere else in the Cover Flow.

Random apps appearing on my home menu...

Since I downloaded iOS 7 on my iPod 5 last November, everytime I went on facebook, it would automatically redirect me to the App store to some app I've never heard of. I finally updated to iOS 7.0.6 when I heard iOS 7 had some security breaches or whatever. It stopped, but more recently, for about a week or so, I turn on my iPod and some apps I have never installed suddenly appear on my home menu. I delete the apps, but some new ones appear every now and then.
Can someone please tell me what's going on and how to fix this? I'm seriously losing my **** thinking someone's hacked my iPod or something. (I did not jailbreak it by the way.)

I can no longer burn a disc. The command to do so does not appear in my Files menu. All my recordings are 100% legal. I have installed a new version (it still looks the same), but that hasn't helped. I have done so before.

All my music is from legal sources (albums owned by me, others from iTunes), but the Burn Disc command does not appear in the File menu, and nothing I do helps. I downloaded a new version of iTunes, but it still loks the same and may just be the same. But the problem started long before I did that.

Horizontal spry menu style appears turned off when on the internet though can view it in live mode!?

The style of the horizontal spry menu seems as to have been turned off when on the web though is visible and functioning on CS4 Dreamweaver design and live views. I have styled the spry menu and can view it in the properties section though the style setting is there on the internet it looks as if the styles have turned off and appears unformatted vertically when it should be a cascading horizontal menu bar. Not sure where the error is, I have looked at the coding and as I'm not the most experienced with spry.....

I have noticed that SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css doesn't appear in the spry assets folder, does this matter? (not sure how to insert into the assets menu). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for testing it. I'm not sure how to proceed though as the css file is in my local_sites/spry assets folder for the website. I've tried to point it to other (copies of SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css) and spry assets folder externally from the site and again internally in the root folder and seems to make little or no difference.
Your suggestion of what it should read,(sorry to sound so naive at all this) though would you mind giving a step-by-step guide on how to go about it? as I'm obviously missing something in the setup process.

I'm hoping you can help me with is, I'm about to tear my hair out! I'm using JavaScript in InDesign CS3 (PC). I have three heading scripts that I wrote that go through a series of actions when clicked, and I need to be be attached to the appropriate paragraph styles. This is so the user will receive a certain look and feel when they click the style, but they won't know a script ran at all, they'll think it's just another paragraph style.
I ran the menu id script from the InDesign Scripting Guide, and it says that the root ID should be "Paragraph Style Panel Menu", however, that is not working. HELP! How can I get InDesign to reference the existing Paragraph Style Panel Menu?
