Not all links open

Some of the links on some pages open when clicked on. However, some links on some pages do not open when clicked on. They do open in a new tab when I press Ctrl and click on it. I've tried disabling all addons but this still happens. Firefox is the default browser and I've even gone into Control Panel and made sure that is set as the default program and it is. Sometimes the link is to download a PDF file and most of the time, the unresponsive links are just to open a new webpage.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Most people know how to use their browsers BACK button to return to a site. Or better yet, right click on links to open them inside new tabs or windows. This should almost always be a user's decision and not a web designer's decision.
If you have all links open in new windows/tabs, In no time at all, user's browser will be stuffed with them which is ugly and can diminish browser performance.
If you need to open a new window on SELECT links, use the Behaviors Panel, press the Plus sign (+) and select Open Browser Window. Repeat this for all links you want opened in new windows.

Not all links work when migrating iweb to ftp

I migrated my iweb site from mobilem to another host and now some of the movie links that I use are not working. Everything else is working like text and photos but the movies I get the quicktime icon in the place for them. What am Idoing

yes, that is in web server mime type configuration.
.mov is a well known file extension and is default to video/quicktime mime type.
mp4 or .m4v extension is rather new, it's mpeg4 layer and not all web hosts config .m4v extension.
you can config it yourself (adding extension to mime type), but if you don't know how you can ask your host to add mime type video/mp4 for .m4v extension.
other file extensions can be used with video/mp4 are: mp4 mp4v mpg4 m4v

Some, not all, links not working on certain website. Links work in other browser. Any help out there?

I cannot get the login links (either of them) or a couple of other links to work in firefox 3.6.13. Other links on this page work fine and all links work fine using chrome. This is the only page I am having this issue with, any help?

Ajax Autocomplete -- all links open in new windows

Hi
I used Ajax Autocompete in one of my applications. But after i click the link which uses ajax autocomplete, strange behaviour is happens with other links in Internet Explorer. The other links that are supposed to be opened in the same window now start opening in new windows. This does not happen in Firefox. can someone suggest a reason and a solution to this problem.

My mission control isn't mission controlling. It was showing all apps open, but now it just shows the dashboard and not all the open programs. Is there something I can do so it shows all the open programs again?

I would like all links to open in the active tab, unless I command-click on the link.

I've searched for answers to this question, and I was able to adjust the values for preferences in about:config so that all links open in the active tab, but after doing so I am unable to command-click to open a link in a new tab. Is there any way to change certain preferences so that command-clicking will override the browser.link.open_newwindow preferences? Or maybe there's some other way around this?
This might seem like an odd request, but several sites I use (Tumblr especially) open nearly all links in a new tab by default, and it quickly gets out of hand. A "same-tab unless command-click" configuration would allow me to control where every link opens. Also, I would still like all links from external applications to load in a new tab.
I'm using Firefox 32.0 on Mac OS X 10.9.4.

Open all links and bookmarks in a new tab

Today I updated to FF 23.0 and Tab Mix Plus is no longer fully functional, and I had to disable it. I am trying to duplicate its functions in about:config.
I have two issues:
1. How can I get all bookmarks to open in a new tab on the far right? Bookmarks are opening on top of the active tab, and this I cannot abide.
2. How can I get all links to open in a new tab? No new windows, no right-click, no over-writing the current tab... just make ALL links open in a new tab on the far right?

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

Links opening apps? Or not-

Is anybody else incredibly fristrated that just about all links open safari web pages and not the apps that they apply to? Its seems so primative at this point. Honestly, two of my apps will open from links. Youtube and some othet usless app. EVRYTHING else opens in Safari. All the major apps that probaly everyione has. LinkedIn, Bank of America, Yelp, Instagram, GrubHub, Fandago, and on and on. And it always shows the bar on top too saying, "hey why dont you download the app?" Like a slap in the face. The fragmentation on this device *****. Two steps forward, one step back.

Also disable the dragging feature in System Preferences > trackpad.

corner, I'd like them to open up in the same browser window. When I
open the page for the first time, any link I click on will open in
a new browser window. But after this, all links open in the current
window. Any idea why this might be happening?

Any & all links in my Gmail account will not open. In order 2 confirm Firefox subscription I had to confirm using Explorer. I just switched Browsers today with much disappointment. I cleared cache and cookies and tried all else I know but no luck.

Any and all links I click on from my Gmail account do not open.

When launching and opening tabs from links in outlook express not all tabs appear

Since upgrading to Firefox 21 when I click on links in emails in Outlook Express not all the links open new tabs, but when I attempt to close Firefox it says there are more tabs open than are being displayed. Firefox also becomes sluggish to non-responsive during these "evolutions". If I open Firefox first before clicking links in emails it does not display this behavior.

The DDE fix does not appear to address the same problem I'm having. I receive no error windows or indications of any kind, the tabs just never appear, yet when I close firefox it will ask me if I want to close all "X" tabs ( and X appears to equal the number of tabs I tried to open).

Here's what you have to do.
You set up your column link like this:
Link text: whatever you like
Link attributes: onclick="return false;" class="open_modal"
Target: Page in this application
Page: number of the page you want to open in your modal window
You set up your dynamic action like this:
Event: Click
Selection type: jQuery selector
jQuery selector: .open_modal
(notice the dot at the beginning!)
Action: SkillBuilders Modal Page (2.0.0) [Plug-in]
Event Scope: Dynamic
And finally, in your True Action (SkillBuilders Modal Page (2.0.0)), URL Location should be set as Attribute of Triggering Element.
And that's pretty much all it takes.

Not able to open a PDF file in Creative Cloud Illustrator. It shows missing links and so forth

I'm working on CS5 and saving my AI files as PDF. This is all for print, I have created the outlines, and flattened transparency between an image I had placed in on the PDF. My CreativeCLoud AI is not able to open the PDF. It shows that it is missing links. How do I fix this?
