Not all of my emails are coming to my iphone
It appears that only some of my emails are coming through on my phone. I have a hotmail account & have never had this problem before with my iphone. I tried deleting & re-adding the account in the settings. This just made it worse. Now my phone is showing none of my prior messages at all. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks!

(If you don't want to sync contacts or calendars just turn these to off.)

Not all of my bookmarks are coming into my iPhone from my PC via the Firefox server. Only one folder of my bookmarks is coming in. Never had this problem before. Other sync instructions in Preferences can be changed and are properly executed (tabs vs. no tabs, history vs. no history, etc.). Have read other "solutions" in this area of Help (have signed out and signed back in, very good WiFi and 3G connections, plenty of room on my iPhone, even got a new sync key). Not all of my emails show up in my iphone account. Only about two weeks worth - how can I access all of my inbox emails? I have hotmail and am not sure if this is a sync glitch or what...?
How are you accessing the "7 days" account: IMAP or POP?

My computer restarted this morning and now my thunderbird email isn't working properly. Some emails are coming through but when I check emails on my iphone there have been other emails coming through (on my phone) which are not showing up in thunderbird on my computer?? I haven't changed anything, all I did was restart my computer. Help please!!

I'm having trouble getting all of my apps and photos to sync to the new computer and only about half of my music will copy over. What am I missing?
It will only move "purchased" songs - i.e. those bought through the iTunes store. Anything that you loaded into iTunes from another source (CD, bought elsewhere, etc.) has to be either reloaded from that source, or brought over via iTunes "Home Sharing".
In my own experience, Home Sharing works the best - although it can take literally days, depending on how large your music/ap/movie library is on the original computer. -

After the last IOS upgrade, a freind sent me an email from her Suddenlink account. Now I get a duplicate of everuy email she receives. This is driving me crazy plus it is an invasion of her privacy for me to be receiving all her facebook responses, banking info, medical info, catalogs, etc. I don't want the onslaught of all this email. What do I need to do to correct this? When I receive the emails, they have her address, not mine. If I send her a new email at her Suddenlink address, it comes to me and to her. Please help, this is driving me crazy.

I have been using my .mac email address for many years without any problem. Suddenly the emails are coming in sporadically or not at all. I know this because they are all coming in on my phone and laptop. My gmail account seems unaffected with emails coming in fine. Any ideas? Thanks

Can't locate email content? All of a sudden my email content has disappeared from inside MacMail? The actual emails are coming through but I am unable to view them in the content area! Nothing has been done to have changed this?

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2. -
I receive both My husbands emails and mine through my ipad. We both have gmail accounts. His emails are coming down on the ipad but not mine. I haven't received mail since Saturday. We use the email for business I desperately need it and I don't have a laptop anymore as it is broken. In my wisdom I desired to buy an ipad instead, what a mistake.
The iPad will support multiple Gmail accounts, but of course you have to set each one up individually. Did you set up both accounts? Go into Settings/ Mail, Contacts, Calendars to confirm both accounts exist. If they do, also familiarize yourself on how to navigate between accounts to make sure you can view your Inbox. You may also want to check your settings to make sure that you have the default account set up as you expect for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Notes (if you're using all those features). That is important only when initiating something new, you have to have a default account to do such a thing so make sure the default is your account since it is your iPad (assuming that's what you want).
Alternatively, install the free Gmail app and then use only his (or your) account with that app and use the standard iOS Mail app for the other account. -
Everytime i try and send a message to my boyfriend through imessage on my ipad, it says "Message send failure" but all of the messages are coming in through my email, i hate texting my boyfriend through my email. So can someone help me, please.

Thanks!Yes, you do need iPhoto, or at least for the following: Plug it into the computer with the USB plug you get with it, and iTunes will automatically open. It doesn't matter if you keep it open or not, because you'll import them to iPhoto. When you open iPhoto, it will automatically go to your iPhone's inventory of photos. Choose a photo that you wish to import (or click import all), type in the titile, and click import. A pop-up message will come up that asks if yu want to keep originals. Click yes, and viola. Your photos are on your computer! Hope this helps.

I am new to mac. just purchaased it 3 weeks ag along with MS office for mac, i notice that all my outlook email are in this finder folder, can i delete these email files from this location? why are they there anyway?

Oh the ...olk14_message's. Do not delete them behind Outlooks back, i.e., from the finder. Those are the various messages that you sent, received, or deleted in Outlook. They are indexed by Outlook so if you delete behind Outlook's back Outlook will get confused trying to access those messages.
You can delete them however using Outlook itself. In outlook select a mailbox (Drafts, Sent Items, Deleted Items, etc.) by clicking on the mailbox on the left. It will show you the messages in that mailbox. You can now select all or selected items in that mailbox. The click the Edit menu and select Delete. You will get a dialog asking if you really want to delete the selections. Answer "Delete" and the messages will get deleted.
The olk14_message's you are seeing are the actual messages shown the Outlook mail boxes. When you actually delete them the way I just described the corresponding olk14_message files will also be deleted.
Note Outlook's Deleted Items mailbox is where all deleted messages go when you click the Delete tool in the Outlook toolbar. Thus using the Delete tool from the toolbar does not permanently delete the messages. So if you been using that for months or years you are going to have a very large Deleted Items mailbox. And every one of those items in there is going to have a corresponding olk14_message file for that message.
So if those olk14_message files you are seeing are from the Deleted Items mailbox you can get rid of all those corresponding olk14_message files by selecting all the messages in Deleted Items and using the Edit menu's Delete.
Alternative ways to the Edit/Delete to do the permanent delete is select (all) the messages to delete and control (right) click to bring up the Outlook contextual menu and select Delete from it.
Finally if you use the Delete tool in the toolbar for messages selected in the Deleted Items mailbox you will be able to permanently delete those too. It's an exception since using the tool on the Deleted Items means there's no place to put those messages except to "oblivion".
So, in summary, using the Delete tool in the toolbar on messages in every mailbox except the Deleted Items mailbox just moves messages to the Deleted Items mailbox. But using the Delete tool on items in them Deleted Items mailbox permanently deletes the selected items in there. And only permanently deleting items removes the corresponding actual ...olk14_message files. -
I am trying to install Lightroom and I am OK until it asks for a serial number. I purchased Lightroom from B&H and the have entered the seal number on the the B&H invoice. Nothing happens, not all the entry boxes are filled with the serial number that was provided by B&H. I looked for a serial number on and in the box it came in, nada. Need a bit of help here, what can I do?
