Not all of my songs from itunes are appearing in garageband.
Not all of my songs from itunes are appearing in garageband. I want to make a ringtone with a certain song but its not there. How do I get it to be there?
Is it a song you have purchased? Maybe your song is protected by digital right management? Then it will not show up in GarageBand. Have a look in the Information panel if the kind of the song is "Protected".

I authorized a new computer for iTunes, plugged my phone into computer and now all of my songs in iTunes are no longer in my account, on computer or in iphone Help!
Media is only where you put it.
Did you copy or move the media from the old computer to the new computer? -
Some of my songs from iTunes are AAC (m4a not protected) and some are AAC (m4p Protected). Why is this???
Any insights would be much appreciated.Because you purchased some of the songs when they were sold as DRM ( protected ) - pre itunes plus, and you bought some of the songs when they were sold as non-drm - itunes plus.
You can check quick links in the itunes store to see if you have itunes plus upgrades available for purchases. -

is there anyway i can get all my downloaded songs from itunes onto my ipad?
If you cannot powerup the phone, there would be no way to recover the photos from the device. Have you tried to just connect it to the computer? If the photos are that important, have you considered possibly a 3rd party repair to just fix the screen so you can access the device, or was there more broken than the screen?

How can i fix my iPhone cus its not syncing all of my songs from iTunes
how can i fix my iPhone cus its not syncing all of my songs from iTunes
Assuming you haven't taken up too much memory from apps to hold the 11 gigs of music...
After you plug in your iPhone, go to the music tab. Make sure you have it set to sync all music.
If apps/books/etc. leave you with less than 11 gig of space for you music, make playlists and sync those instead -
When transferring iTunes from old computer to new computer, all my songs were copied over, but not all of them were stored in iTunes. It appears they are on the computer somewhere, but not on iTunes. Where are these other songs likely to be, and how can I get them onto iTunes? Because of this problem, Apple will not allow me to update my iPhone.
You may/must have had music files stored outside of your iTunes library.
I'd recommend going to the Finder and then via the search box look for files with mp3 aif m4a aac etc. depending on the music format your digital music had. With the list of files shown you should be able to learn which files were stored outside of your music > itunes folder
Chances are they could be burried somewhere under your documents, downloads, desktop, ... we all have different storage and organization habits.
Then when you find the missing files, on the new computer you can do add to library and go to the folder on the other computer where the missing files are - if your systems are networked - or sneak them over using a USB thumb drive or portable hard drive if you have lots of files, or if you like to have an extra backup of that music, copy to optical disc. -
IpodMini Shows Up on Itunes but says songs from itunes are not right format
I have a 2nd generation ipod mini and everytime i plug it into the computer itunes either freezes or shows up and when i try to put purchased music from itunes onto the ipod it says the ipod does not support this type of file. is this my ipod or itunes problem?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all books and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
I have not heard of that problem before with books, only music. -
All my purchased songs from Itunes says unable to locate original file
all of my songs purchased from itunes say unable to locate original file
Did you recently move any files around on your computer. iTunes looks for the files in the original location; if they are moved this can create problems. One possibility is to right click on one of the songs with an exclamation point, and the go to "Get info." This will open a pop-up window that has several tabs.Click on "Summary." At the bottom of this screen, there is a section that says "Where:" This is the path of the original file. Check that location and see if the file is located there (probably not, or you wouldn't get the warning).
Next, I would search Windows for the particular song. Assuming that you find it somewhere, I would bet that is where the rest of the missing files now reside. -
Album Art does not download while purchasing songs from iTunes
Hi !
Of late, music I have purchased from iTunes does not seem to download the album art ie: the music downloads fine, but there is no album art with it, despite the fact that on the iTunes site it DOES have album art when advertised.
Has anyone else had this situation, if so, is there a fix ?
Note this is happening only recently.
Thanks !Thanks, Mimico Kid! Your suggestion was extremely easy and worked like a charm!
I basically went to Amazon.com like you suggested, searched for all of my cd's in the Amazon music section. Once each cd was listed, I enlarged the album cover to its largest size and then right-clicked on the largest image and then "saved as" the name of the cd in a separate, Album Art folder that I created in the "My Pictures" folder on my c drive. Then I opened iTunes and the Album covers folder that I created and dragged the jpeg of the album cover into the section of iTunes on the lower left side where users are prompted to drag album art.
Here's a hint to significantly quicken the transfer of album art from your separately created "Album Art" folder on your hard (c:) drive to iTunes: select all of the songs of a particular cd listed in your iTunes library before you drag the album art over from your separately created "Album Art" folder. That way, when you do drag the album art over, it will be applied to all of the selected songs - this saves lots of time if you have multiple tracks from CDs in your iTunes library. -
I burned a ton of songs from CD to Itunes and they showed up fine in my library. I bought a new Ipod at the same time my computer died so I'm now using a totally different computer. I logged in to my Itunes from this computer and can see every song purchased from Itunes. What I no longer see are the ones burned from cd.
Does this iPod have the contents of your library? If so see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. Otherwise, depending on the nature of the failure, you may be able to extract the hard drive and recover the media from it. Or you will have to rip your CDs again.
If you'd like access to all your media on any device/computer in future you might consider purchasing a subscription to iTunes Match though personally I just maintain my own backup of my library.

Since I have a new iMac and now use Mountain Lion, I am observing that TV shows purchased in iTunes sometimes download in a Quicktime format that will not open in iTunes. In some but not all cases, I right click "open in" and select iTunes and then it will play. However, this doesn't always work. When I open in Quicktime and try to export to iTunes, that won't work. When I try Wundershare's Video conversation program, it won't even accept the file. What's going on here? Any ideas? Please reply [email protected] with any suggestions.
KathyThanks for the help Ricky.
I did put my iPod into DFU and iTunes recognized it in restore mode. After restore I am back where I was before - iTunes cannot connect because of an unknown error.
I have installed Jailbreak to see if I can bypass itunes but haven't succeeded. I can't get my computer to recopgnize the iPod as a device.
I'll take it to a Genius bar next time I am in the area of one. Until then I'll probably continue to try hacks to get it connected.
