Not all PDF could be viewed as thumbnail?

When I choose the thumbnail view in Windows Explorer, some PDF could show the 1st page as the thumbnail, however some couldn't(the Adobe PDF logo instead).
I've noticed this for a while, and tried to find out why.
To my surprise, it seems this happens regardless of the content/version of the PDF file, nor the version of Adobe Reader/Windows.
Could anyone show me the truth?

The number of tabs that you can show at once is limited by the size of the canvas. If you have too many tabs, then you can set up one tab to be a 'MORE'. When the user clicks on it, it hides the current set of tabs and displays the set of tabs that were not shown. By having a MORE for each set of tabs, you can toggle between the sets of tabs. The Help documentation describes how to show and hide tabs, and how to set focus to a particular tab.

Error "Not all data could be changed in LC" when running DP macro

We are getting the error, "Not all data could be changed in LC" when running DP macros and we are not sure why. It seems to only happen when we are executing it via a Process Chain but not using the DP background processing scheduling. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I hope you are seeing this in message spool. This message comes up for various reasons. We used to see a message saying "No data saved".
Some of the reasons could be " the new value (lets say 3 ) after the macro execution is same as after execution (3)".
See if some of the values are fixed and could not be changed.
I would take a selection id with just few values and execute the job for that selection id and compare the pre and after results. That should answer all your questions.

When I run forecasting through automodel(strategy 56) in the background, For some combinations I got the warning message "Not all data could be changed in LC" (Message no. /SAPAPO/TS007). What does this message means?

Hi
Logically whenever you create a new CVCs in APO system you should execute the job /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK
by default which will assign time series for the newly created CVCs.
In the following case, it looks like you have created CVCs and than during th FCST job as it does not found the time series for newly created CVCs you received the following errors.
You can execute the report now which will fix the issue, but I will suggest to execute this once CVC job creation is done as regular process.

Out of Memory error on some PDF's, not all PDF's.

I have read most of the posts in the forums that relate to 'Out of Memory' issues with PDF's and I have to say that there is still no solution that I have found.
I have tried reinstalling Adobe Reader, Flash Player and tried clearing my Temp Files. None of these fixed the issue.
The PDF's that receive this memory error are downloaded off a CMS website that has many offices and logins. Only one office is experiencing this out of memory issue so we know that it is not an issue with generating the PDF's on the CMS website, otherwise all the offices and logins would have this issue, since they use the same system.
I am an admin of that CMS website and even I receive the same out of memory issue when I try and view the PDF's from that office, as the customer does.
When we open these PDF's with another PDF reading program, the PDF's open fine. So that tells me that the issue lies with Adobe Reader and not the PDF file itself.
These PDF files that are receiving the error about 1MB-4MB, so they are not large.
Could you please tell me the solution to this out of memory error as we may lose a customer because your product is producing an error that does not seem to have been fixed after years of being reported by your customers.

As an Adobe Reader XI user, if I may put my two cents in, that "Out of Memory" problem is not with the Adobe Reader XI application, which was installed on our computers! I think, the problem is with how the PDF documents, which we were trying to open, were generated (or regenerated).
I remember I was able to open my old credit card statement online without any problem and now I am not able to open the same old statement (out of memory) because it could have been regenerated! In fact, I could not open any of my credit card statements (old or new) on this specific credit card web site, which makes me believe those statments were regenerated or somthing with some new Adobe software.
As others mentioned, even I'm able to view other PDF documents without any problem.

Not all pdf preview in firefox. How do I fix this?

When going to Option>Applications and searching for "pdf" 2 options come up in the list:
1 - pdf.
2 - portable document format.
For "portable document format" I can choose "preview in Firefox", but for "pdf" the preview option does not exist (I can just "save" or "alway ask" [and that just gives option to save or open with TWINUI]).
I tried to erase the "mimeTypes.rdf" and then "pdf" disappeared from the list all together leaving just the "portable document format" in the list. All pdf's opened in FF just like I wanted! But that only worked for a short while and "pdf" appeared again in the list with no preview option.
I use FF28 and win8.1 (comes with TWINUI to view pdf).
I didnt want to install more programs like adobe, so I want to open pdf files that are on my computer in FF.

Yep and you can manage the other file types in the Application settings in Preference/Options as you have done before.

Not all PDF's transfering to iPad 2 in sync

Hello all!
Today I downloaded a bunch of free magazines in PDF format on my laptop. When they were all downloaded I selected them all and dragged them into iTunes. I dropped them in the Books folder under the Library heading. All of the magazines show up in there when I click on books. I can even double click on them and read them on my laptop. When I plug in my iPad 2 and click on that, then click on the Books tab they all appear there under the Books heading as well. I have checked Sync Books, then All Books. Once the sync is complete only half of the books are on my iPad under iBooks (I have clicked on Collections and selected PDFs). When I go back to iTunes all the books are showing there. I have even tried changing the option to sync Selected Books, and then physically checking them all but that doesn't work either. So I went through the magazines that were on my iPad and unchecked them, leaving only the ones that didn't sync checked. When I re-synced it did put a few of the magazines that didn't sync last time, but not all of them. I tried checking All Books and syncing again and now I can't even get the ones I had on before back on. It's maddening! If anyone can help me figure out why not all magazines are going on to my iPad I would be so thankful! By the way I checked Newstand and they're not there either.

This is an unusual workflow, we have typeset the files in Tex. One of our client using XyVision. They have done the template in Xyvision, our requirement is we need to send full page as .eps with properly cropped, they will load the .eps into it and they will create PDF.
Here the problem is tex has links in some of the pages, when we saveas the file to .eps some links are there some were gone.
The Acrobat has compability to save the .eps with links we have checked and it is working for www.XXXXX etc.. but not working for SI Text etc..
We though that if Acrobat is capable of storing the links in .eps for www.XXX then why not for other. We would like to know the storage details how this links are storing.
Workflow is converting PDF full pages to .eps file with links, this .eps will be placed in xyvision then they will create the PDF so that the links will retain.

VA03 not showing PDF attachments when viewing IDOC

When we view IDOCs in our QA after a recent refresh we can no longer see the attachments in VA03. Any clues as to why we can't see these?

Is quality refreshed recently from production.It seems they might not refreshed these pdf (Va03) from production,if they refreshed all abjects then only you can see these documents.Check with your basis team are they copied PDF objects are not.

Not all images appearing in viewer

When looking at the folder location for a particular set of images, it shows 21 images. Although within the viewer I'm only seeing 2 images. I tried synchronizing the folder, but the other 19 do not appear. Tried to import them again from their actual location, LR tells me that they already exist. Any idea what else I could try? I deleted the preference file, to no avail. Other than possibly opening a new library file and starting from scratch. Grrr.

I just double checked the filter selection, it is turned off right now.

Not all reservation could be blocked

When we do the CO13,then the system give me the error message"No
reservations could be blocked".
What does it mean and how to get rid of this?

Its looks like some user is in the change mode of the order or performing confirmation, due to this system is not able to allow you to perform the cancellation of confirmation. Request all your users to come out of the order and then you can try.

Report will not generate PDF only the XML output. View XML icon disabled

I created a PDF format report.
When the report completes, View Output shows XML code not the PDF output.
View XML button is disabled from Diagnostic on view request screen.
Any thoughts. All settings are the same as when other XML to PDF reports are created. Not sure why this one is not working.

Can not open all .pdf files in Yahoo Mail.

Three computers using Windows XP and Internet Explorer can open all .pdf files in Yahoo

Reader can only open some, but not all, .pdf files in Yahoo Mail. Nothing happens when

Adobe Reader isn't my favorite, but neither are smug and uninformed assertions about Preview. There are PDFs that render only squares and marks under Preview (http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/24209/this-pdf-displays-with-question-m arks-instead-of-letters), which is a common problem in MS Windows Office generated PDFs, so you may actually need Adobe Reader for Mac.
If you need to use Adobe Reader (as I do), then it may depend on the filesystem type where you save your PDF. For example, our Macs are network homed. Saving to desktop produced the error reported above no matter whether I used Safari:Save As, or the PDF save icon.
However, when I saved to a local drive (such as /tmp), then it worked. I don't know why file system makes a difference, unless Adobe is doing something with extended attributes that doesn't get written correctly to some filesystems.

PDF portfolio cannot print all pdfs

I cannot make acrobat print all pdfs in a portfolio. The user wants to be able to select multiple pdfs in the list in the portfolio and print - and I would expect Acrobat to be able to do that, but cannot make it work.
To test this issue i produced to pdf in acrobat. Use create new from blank page. no#1 is 1 page no#2 is 2 pages.
In acrobat click combine to single pdf > portfolio. I save my new pdf portfolio to the filesystem.
I open the portfolio and select both pdfs and click print icon. I only see 'All' in print range and NOT 'All pdf files' as other users explain they do

Did you follow the instructions on the website you gave in your post? In particular:
You don't have to print all the PDFs in the portfolio. If you click the List View button, you can then CTRL-Click to select just the files you want to print. Then, choose File> Print and Acrobat will only print the selected files

How can I get firefox to not save pdf files (such as bank statements I have looked at) to my documents and settings/temp folder?

I just realized that some (but not all pdf files that I have opened) pdf files of bank statements as well as other pdf files that I have opened when browsing with firefox have been saved to my documents and settings/temp folder. I am concerned about this for security of my data, but also confused as to why all of these documents (as well as some word documents and other types of non .tmp files) are being stored here. Please tell me how to stop this from happening.

I can understand that they would appear there if I have the document open, or have recently viewed it. These documents are over a month old, some are over a year old.
Also, it is not just PDF files, I also see word docs and java.exe files in this folder. None of these files have the %temp% in the title as they do when I have a particular document open, rather they are a copy of the file or document that I have saved to my data file.
My main concern is the security of information when random PDF and doc files are stored here without my knowledge.
