Not all photos are being published to Smugmug

LR5 will not publish all of my photos to Smugmug. I get a message that LR failed to export some files. Can anyone help?

Would it be possible to furnish some more info?
e.g. versions of OS, Lr, and which SmugMug plugin & version.
Anything that would help shed light, e.g. have you tried exporting the same photos and/or a larger set of photos to hard disk? what about using ftp plugin, or another smugmug plugin...
I mean, lots of people export their photos to smugmug without issue, so to know what's going on in your case, it would help to define your "case".
Screenshot of error dialog?
Always the same photos? random? percent failed?
etc.
I mean, maybe somebody will come along with a magic bullet you can use, and you won't have to go through any of that, but in the mean time... - it might help.

  • TS3989 Not all photos are being pushed to my photo stream folder on computer?

So this was working right for a while and now its not doing so well. Some pictures are being uploaded but now they arent uploading.. HELP!!!

Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

Open your iPhoto Library, go to that particular album and verify that you can view the full sized version of each image by double clicking on them.  Report back with the results.

Since downloading iCloud, I am now receiving emails twice and also notes and photos are being doubled up on my phone.  Any ideas?

iCloud is not downloaded, it is a part of iOS5.
Do you possibly have iCloud and a MobileMe account set up on the device?  If so, remove the MobileMe account.

  • Not all photos are uploading to Photo Stream?

I have an iPhone 4S and usually when I take a photo, a copy of it appears in Photo Stream (on the iPhone). It is also synced to my Mac Mini and new iPad.
But recently, photos I take with either my iPhone or my iPad don't get uploaded. And in fact they don't even show up in their own Photo Stream group?!
Are the servers having trouble or is there something else wrong?
    I have tried:
    • Switching Photo Stream on/off
    • Doing the above and powering the device on/off
    • Resetting Photo Stream via iCloud.com
    • Ensuring I am am connected to wifi (even taking pictures whilst connected to wifi)
    • Ensuring battery is charged (even tried charging and fully chared)
Bascially in the past 48 hours 1 out of about 60 photos has uploaded, which is pretty annoying as I really needed Photo Stream to work these past couple of days.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

On an iOS device, new photos you take will be automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. Note: My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections."

Not sure why some photos would not be included.

  • Not all photos are visible on my iphone

as I'm sure many folks, I've just upgraded to the latest iOS and 10.10.3. The moment I did that, my MacBook Pro has all the photos visible in Photos, however on my iPhone its a different story. Only a couple of years worth of photos have been added to the library and even those aren't complete. How do I get all my photos from my iCloud onto my phone?

I have not tried to locally sync my birthdays as I'm using MobileMe, too. What worked for me, however, was to publish my local birthday calendar do MobileMe and to subsrcibe to it from the iPhone. I found this solution in the MacNN forums, so here are the steps again (I don't know the English names for the menu items etc., so I translated them from German and hope that you'll be able to find what I'm talking about):
    - In iCal on your Mac, right-click the respective calendar and select "Publish"
    - In the dialogue that appears now, select the option to automatically publish changes
    - Write down the address that is shown in the next window
    - On your iPhone, enter that address in your Mail-Settings as a calendar subsription
I hope you will get this working!

What Operating System are you running?
Mountain Lion there seem to be a glitch that continually ask this on quit.
You have  Apple Menu ()>force quit>iPhoto

  • I cannot close or import or any function to iphoto.  I have been getting the same message for many days "Photos are being imported to the photo library.  Please wait for import to complete."  I do not know where the photos would be importing from.

After Force Quitting, as LarryHN recommended,
Select the iPhoto Library in the Finder. By default it is in your Pictures folder.
Ctrl-click or right-click the iPhoto lIbrary. Select "Show package contents" from the panel, that will pop up.
Look for a folder named "Importing" or "Import". Remove this folder, but don't touch anything else.
    Then launch iPhoto again.
If iPhoto now is working again, check the folder you removed, if there are any photos that you want to keep and save them.

If they are in photos view then they are in an event unless you have a corrupted library
    How are you"merging" the photos?
most common issue is either bad sort (view menu ==> sort events) or bad camera dates
select one and show event to see the event

  • Photos are being added to my iPad, without choosing any events in iPhoto or having them sync with iCloud

Photos are being added to my iPad, without choosing any events in iPhoto or having them sync with iCloud
I just upgraded to IOS6, and now my ipad is full of pictures I did not choose to sync.
I cannot delete them without deleting them from all sources.
Actually, the message is when I go to hit EDIT, select a picture, and then choose DELETE: "This photo is used in an album. Do you want to delete it everywhere? Delete Everywhere"
Does that mean "Everywhere" on my iPad, or everywhere including whatever place on my computer it found the photos to begin with?
    PLEASE HELP
    Ps:
    I've already done this:
To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.

You can still sync the photos and keep the photos that are already on the device. You have to include all of the albums or events in the pictures folder that you sync from. If you are using iPhoto, select that in the Sync Photos from drop down menu and then select all of the albums or events that you want to sync. Make sure to check Selected Albums, events, faces and automatically include (no events). Using that option will allow you to choose exactly which albums and events to sync.
You have to remember that all photos must be included in every sync so you cannot sync photos from iPhoto today and then try to sync photos from another folder tomorrow, or you will erase all of the photos that were synced from iPhoto. You need to maintain one main Photos syncing folder for the photos that you want to transfer to the iPad. You can have subfolders within that one main folder and you can selectively sync those subfolders. You just have to place all of the photos that you want to sync into one main iPad syncing photos folder.
There are WiFi transfer apps that allow you to transfer photos to the iPad without having to sync with iTunes. I use this one. This app (and others like it) will allow you to use multiple computers to transfer photos.

Open Activity monitor in Utilities, go to the CPU tab>All Processes, and note any process that would appear to be related to importing photos, such as iPhoto, and use Force Quit. This may only be a temporary fix, as it may start all over again when you reboot. If that happens, we need to do some more investigating.
Also, close all open Applications, then open Terminal in Utilities and copy/paste and hit return, then post the output of this command.

  • HELP! My photos are being held captive. They are trapped in Adobe Photoshop 3.2 I can' access them.

HELP! My photos are being held in Adobe Photoshop 3.2 I
cannot access them. Can anyone help me?

    funnyface,
Photoshop Album has been discontinued for several years now, I recommend that folks find an alternative solution; you could try Picasa from Google, or the Windows built in photo gallery app; both essentially do what Starter Edition did, with respect to organizing photos for you.
You photos remain wherever you intially put them, on your hard drive (see more thorough description below). To get to them, you can navigate your file system using Windows Explorer. They are typically in your My Documents>My Pictures folder. Here is a handy How-To that you could refer to to find photos on your system, as well as some other tips for how you can use folders to keep your photos organized:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/find-a-picture-on-your-computer. Note that instructions might differ if your operating system differs; that info was not provided, so I can't be specific with help.
Some background about how Starter Edition worked:
It is a common misconception that Starter Edition 'stores', or copies, your files into it. But the program does not move or copy files at all, rather it scans your system's My Pictures directory, and generates miniature versions of your pictures (called thumbnails) so that you can browse a 'flat' list of thumbnails of your photos, overcoming the inconvenience of having to go into separate folders in Windows Explorer to have to find files. The thumbnails, as well as any tags, and Albums that you create in Starter Edition are all stored in the Photoshop Album catalog file, separate from your pictures, and your pictures remain where you originally copied them to your computer.
If you use Photoshop Album to subsequently download files from a digital camera or scanner, the default location where the program will create those files would be in the My Pictures>Digital Camera Photos folder. But if you do NOT use Photoshop Album Starter edition to download files from your camera, then you will find that folder empty.
    Hope those tips help!

Exactly what steps are your following that produces this result? What did you do that you say "I have just gone back in to edit some more"? Lots and lots of detail needed here, using Lightroom words and names and not your own wording.
