Not all smartphones can connect to LAPAC1200

Installed new LAPAC1200, laptops, printers etc all connecting happily.  Sme mobile phones are connecting, but my Motorola MotoG 2nd Gen will not connect.
I've put the password in several times, correctly, but it just saves it and doesn't connect.
The only other variable I can see is the security:  phone says WPA2PSK, WAP is set to WPA/WPA2-Personal which I think means it uses AES rather than PSK.
Is this why the motorola won't connect? If so can anyone advise how to change settings on the phone, or what settings I should use on the WAP without disabling connection by all the existing happy gadgets?

Someone has answered on this link: http://community.linksys.com/t5/Linksys-Small-Business/not-all-smartphones-will-connect-to-LAPAC1200... Hope it helps.

  • Not Signed Applets can connect to another machine?

    hi, guys,

I did not use signed applet and want to make thing easier.
In the policy file: I add

    It works.
but when I want to change to:

  • Backup from XP - Windows 7 - not all albums can be added

    Hi guys,
First time poster, so go easy on me.
It was my birthday last week, and ended up getting an Ipad bought for me. For the last 3 years i have used I tunes on my old xp tower, but its very old, very slow, and while it is ok for adding the odd track to my ipod, it doesnt really get used very often.
So with the new ipad, i decided to finally take the plunge and transfer the libary from the xp tower, to my windows 7 laptop. Iv done this before when reformatting my PC and it worked fine, it kept all my songs, all the play counts, all the ratings, so thought it shouldnt be too much of a problem.
Backed up the whole "my music" folder onto my external hard drive, transfered the itunes folder with libary and the tbl file ( cant remember correct extention sorry).Loaded up I tunes on my laptop, loaded the libary etc, and the bulk of the music was in itunes (albiet with a billion duplicates).
Started making myself at home, deleting duplicates, re arranging play lists etc, and noticed that album x, y and z ( to name but a few), were missing. I couldnt find them in my itunes folder, so presumed my old Itunes was grabbing them direct from my music. Anyway, located the folders in my music (the folder is anally easy to navigate). Transfered the albums to my laptop. In itunes, selected add folder, found the album, hit ok, and..... nothing. It just wouldnt add the folders. Makes you question how many other albums havnt been added that Im unaware of.
Initially i thought maybe it was a compatability issue, or the files were the wrong file type, but they all seem to be mp3. Interestingly, i know the files are ok, because they are still on my PC's itunes, and more importantly on my ipod.
so, short story, how can i add this mystery files, how can i retrieve the playcount (considering importing the two libary files didnt work) and finally, where is the nearest donut van, because after this post i think i deserve a break.
Cheers in advance, all the best
    Kris

Haha, I would like to see a donut van right about now, too!
+how can i retrieve the playcount (considering importing the two libary files didnt work)+
That is stored in the itunes database file, which is named iTunes Library.itl
If you copied your entire music file to the exHD and then moved that to windows 7 it should have gotten moved over.
Something must have gone wrong with that, if your play counts & music isn't showing up.
+In itunes, selected add folder, found the album, hit ok, and..... nothing.+
MP3 files not adding or playing in itunes usually means corrupt mp3 headers. Run one of those files through MP3 validator to start; if that's hte issue, run more of them through after you're sure how it works.
Here is a good web page on that
    http://trevinchow.com/blog/2008/09/17/fix-for-mp3-songs-not-playing-in-itunes/
Some of your files may have become corrupted through the years with all the moving around esp if your PC isn't on a surge protector strip.

  • Not all accounts can add names what am i doing wrong?

My iMac has 3 accounts but it appears that only the account with administrator rights can add names to photos. All photos are in the shared folder so this doesnt make sense to me.
I will openly admit that I am a complete noob, I have only owned a MAC for 2 weeks...
On the other accounts - it lets you waste your time inserting names to faces but as we discovered after several hours.... it didnt save any of them. Admin account is 100% fine...
    Any suggestions please people?

All photos are in the shared folder so this doesnt make sense to me.
But where are the Libraries? Are you sharing the Photo files? Or sharing the iPhoto Library?
OS X works rather hard to keep each user's data away from the other's. IF you want users to be able to share the photos, then using the Shared Folder is quite good, but they will have separate Libraries with separate database and so on.
If you want to share the Library, that's a different matter.
    What you mean by 'share'.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc. The problem here is that OS X works very hard to keep your data safe and secure from the other users. You're trying to beat what's built in to the system. So, to beat the system
    Quit iPhoto in both accounts
Move the iPhoto Library Folder to an external HD set to ignore permissions. You could also use a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.
In each account in turn: Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting dialogue, select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new library location. From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.
Alternatively: If you’re comfortable in the Terminal, and understand File Permissions, ACL’s etc., some folks have reported success using the process outlined here . (Note this page refers to 10.4, but it should also work on 10.5). If you’re not comfortable with the terminal, and don’t know an ACL from the ACLU, then you’re best doing something else... Oh, and the warning about simultaneous users still applies.
Lastly: This method seems a little clunky at first, but works very well. Most importantly, it uses the System to do the job for you.
Create a new Account on your Mac, call it Media. Create an iPhoto Library there. (BTW: This will work for iTunes too.)
Enable Sharing on the Library:(Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other accounts. In those accounts, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. The Library will appear in the other source pane.
This means that both users will be able to see the pics. If you want to use a pic then simply drag it from the shared Library to your own in the iPhoto Window. This means that each user can have their own edits.
If you want to add photos to the Library: Log into the Media account for that purpose.
To make it all seamless: Set your Mac to log into the Media Account automatically. Set iPhoto to launch on log-in. Then switch to your own account using Fast User Switching.
Net result: a Library that's permanently available to all users but also protected. Each user can have their own versions of the pics if they want.
No partitioning, no permissions issues. Uses no extra disk space. What's not to like?
    Regards
    TD

If using Microsoft's Java, go to the View menu and choose Java Console. You may have to enable it first in Tools|Internet Options|Advanced.
If using Sun's Java Plug-in, click on the Java icon in the system tray.

When I execute query, I get warning "Not all infobjects can be read". This happens only with business user ids and not with developer IDs. Long text is -
Inconsistent InfoObjects exist in the system. The inconsistency may be caused by a program termination while saving or activating the InfoObject or in its after import treatment.
We are not able to trace which info-object is having problem. Problem is also while displaying data in LISTCUBE. Is this has to do anything with authorizations? We are not able to catch exact source of problem. Any ideas will be helpful.

    Hi,
Do you have the problem with LISTCUBE with developer userd ID also ?
Check the Consistency of the InfoProvider and activate it once more.

On 3G we cannot send  Business emails from either our iPhones or Ipad and this also happens with some WiFi connections but not all.  Yet we can always send emails from our Hotmail Account using both 3G and WiFi.
We bought the iPhones and Ipad so that we could send emails while we are out of the Office, but we are not able to do this unless we can find a WiFi connection. Incoming emails are fine.  We use IMAP, for Business emails just incase this is relevant and I know that Hotmail is POP3.
Our technical IT knowledge is not great, so we look forward to your suggestions as to how to resolve this.

Contact whomever supports the email account and get the correct Outgoing email server settings from them.

Was it just this one time?  Could be that you, or your mom, were experiencing network problems.  Try again at a later time.

I just upgraded to the 5s. I have several mail accounts and I'm getting a message that says: "can not get mail, the connection to the server failed" . Now I'm confused because all the mail shows up perfectly.

Well it does it every time I go to mail and is driving me nuts. It never happened on my iPhone5, just on this 5s.

  • HT201317 When I connected my phone and my iPad not all the photos in my photo stream moved over. Why not and how can I fix it?

When I connected my iPhone and iPad via iCloud not all photos in my photo stream copied over. Why not and how do I fix it?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Only the last 30 days of photos are kept in photo stream in the cloud for syncing. Devices that have been syncing with photo stream for some time may retain older photographs that newer devices do not receive from photo stream.

  • Can connect to local DB via SQLPlus but not via SQLDeveloper, all info incl

Have a database running on a new local Windows 7 Professional Machine with data, users, etc from an db import. Able to access database via sqlplus, run queries, etc. Cannot run from Oracle SQL Developer. Trying to use Connection Type Basic, Hostname localhost, port *1521*.
Using SID = xe I get:
Status: Failure -Test failed: Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12518, TNS:listener could not hand off client connection The Connection descriptor used by the client was localhost:1521:xe
When I add a service in my listener.ora file for sid_name=xe and program_name=xe (which I include below), I get
ORA-12518, TNS:listener could not hand off client connection. The connection descriptor used by the client was localhost:1521:xe
Using Service name = xe I get:
Status: Failure -Test failed: Io exception: the Network Adapter could not establish the connection.
Here's every single piece of information I think you may possibly need to help me with the issue. [I've been trying to find the solution on these forums so I hope I haven't messed my settings up even more than they had been before.]
