Not all songs appearing on Apple tv

After clicking on Music on Apple TV, I scroll down the list of artists, and everyone that's on my
computer are listed except one, and I believe they are the most recent addition to my music library.
I have itunes Match turned on, everything is copacetic, but no Mumford and Sons!! Of course, they're
the ones I want to listen to on my Apple TV now! So, what's the problem????>?

Movies are not applicable to iTunes match. If they were purchased in iTunes they should simply be available in the cloud via the Movies section.
I'm not sure what the problem is with the music. In iTunes does it say that Mumford and Sons has been matched? If unsure create a smart playlist with the criteria being 'icloud status is matched' If they were purchased from iTunes they should automatically be available.
If the issue persists I would contact iTunes

  • Not all songs appearing in Purchased section

Ok this is anoying (and really pretty stupid.) If I buy a song on one Apple device, it should appear in my purchased history on ALL devices. This is not the case. Songs purchased on my Ipad 2 do NOT appear in Itunes on my PC to be transfered to other devices (i.e. an IPod). Why is this? This is so simple so why does Apple not simply have one universal Purchased account? Other services do this? The only songs that appear in my purchased section are those bought on this computer. So how am I supposed to get songs from the Ipad to the Pod? Common sense would dictate that you'd have ALL purchases in one place.
I want to buy an Apple TV soon. Is this what I'm gonig to have to deal with? Will only things I bought via the Apple TV be playable on it? Because that's stupid.
And before anyone asks, i have ONE Apple account, all purchases have been done via this account. Any solutions? or is there even one? Because if there isn't then I'm done buying things via ITunes Store.

    Hi dklineho,
If purchased made through the iTunes store are not showing up on all devices, you may want to make sure that they are all both authorized *and* associated with the same Apple ID. You may find the following articles helpful:

  • Not all songs appearing in Artist view

I have an issue where under Artist view, which is what I normally use to browse songs on my iPod, not all of the songs that are stored on my iPod appear. So far, it appears that if I have an artist with songs under only one album (and tagged as such) and also a few miscellaneous songs that aren't tagged with album name information, then when I select that Artist under the artist view, it automatically opens the album and only shows those songs. When I hit menu to go back, it just goes back to the listing of all artists I have, instead of giving me an "All" option that will allow me to see the additional songs that I have. If I want to find those songs, I have to scroll through the list of 3500+ songs under the all songs listing, which obviously takes forever, even scrolling quickly.
I have verified the tags on all 3500+ songs, and have reset/reinstalled and deleted/reloaded all software and songs, multiple times.
Is this a bug? If not, how can I get these songs to show properly under the Artist view?

There are a couple of things you could check out that might explain what's happening. Usually two things contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song has no album name associated with it or 2) the song is marked as part of a compilation.
If tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances but the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous in place of a title. See this link for more detail: I don't see some of my songs when browsing by artist on my iPod
Also if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. Compilations are stored in a separate folder in iTunes so the songs don't appear inside the normal Artist>Album.

  • Not all songs appear for download in purchased section

Okay, so I downloaded an album a while back (The Goo Go Dolls - iTunes Originals) but lost it... So thought I would be able to re-download it! I can only download 13 of the 23 tracks on the album. As you can see from the attached screenshot, they don't even appear in the right hand pane but do in the left???
Confused a little... Hoping it something I have done!!!

    2) Click Account in the upper-right corner, then click "Change account information" and sign in using the same Apple ID and password you use for the iTunes Store.
    3) You should see your account-profile page. Under Method of Payment, remove all of the characters from the Card Number field. Do not change the expiration date or credit card type.
    4) If you haven't already, select where you primarily use your purchases from the pop-up menu near the bottom of the page.

    6) Make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge:

    7) Click this link to open iTunes and access the Apple Account Information page:
    http://phobos.apple.com/accountSummary
    8) Sign in to the iTunes Store using your account name and password.
    9) On the Apple Account Information page, click the Edit Payment Information button.
    10) Enter your payment information and click Done to save your changes.
To ensure your account is functioning, try downloading a free item from the iTunes Store. To do this, navigate to the iTunes Store main page by clicking the Home icon near the upper-left corner of the window. Scroll down and click the "FREE ON iTunes" link near the bottom of the main page, then select an item to download.
I hope the above information has been helpful. If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this issue or any other problems with any of your iTunes purchases, please be assured that I will be more than happy to try to assist you further.
    Have a good day.
    Sincerely,

  • Not all songs appear under each artist...?

I've noticed that on my iPod, if I have some songs without an album listed, they won't show up under that artist if there's songs there that are listed with an album under that same artist. And this only happens if there is only 1 album listed under that user. That sounds really confusing so I'll give an example.
I have a few songs from Savage Garden's "Affirmation" CD on my iPod. But I also have some from their self-titled album, but I didn't bother putting the album name in. When I look under Savage Garden on my iPod, it goes straight to Affirmation, and shows ONLY the songs from the Affirmation album, but nothing else.
Is there any way to change this?

This has been a known bug for quite some time now. Apple seems to not see it as a bug tho but anyways....
THe work around is to either put a album name to the tracks or mark all tracks in your library without an album name "Unknown Album" or whatever you want to put in that field.
Labeling all tracks in your library without an album name "Unknown" is the easy, quick thing to do as it can be done within one minute. You just goto the "Music" library, hit the "Album" header so everything in the library is organized from A to Z to "Blank album name". Roll down highlight the first track that has no album name. Roll down to the last track without a album name, hold shift then highlight it. This highlight everything between the first and last.
Now just rightclick hit "get info" type "Unknown" or whatever you wish in the "Album" field, then hit OK

  • ITunes and iPod show different song counts... not all songs sync

    Hi,
I've been having this problem for many many years.
I have more than 18,000 songs now, and the song count in iTunes is always 5 higher than on the iPod.  I have my iPod set to sync the entire library.  All songs in the library are checked for sync as well.  I get no error message during sync that something might be missing, incompatible, or corrupt  When I look at iPod music in iTunes it has the wrong count as well.
Every time a new version of iTunes comes out, I send feedback to Apple regarding this issue.  As expected, Apple ignores their feedback, and from what I can tell they ignore the community forums as well, and they have yet to address the issue in any way, or even contact me about it.
I'd like to find which songs are bad and remove/delete them from my library and collection or fix them.  Is there a sync log hidden somewhere that I can check to see which songs will or won't sync?  Why doesn't iTunes tell us whether or not it expects a song to sync or if it's iPod compatible?  Why does it say less songs will sync without giving a reason why?
I've heard that iPods don't sync duplicate files, but I've looked at my duplicates.. At some point, Apple screwed that up too, it shows songs that are from different compilations as duplicates now, instead of looking at the data proper to determine if it's a duplicate, it seems to just look at the Artist and Song Title and even that doesn't seem to be correct because I have more duplicate song titles listed and in some cases it lists songs from two different artists as being duplicates.  I have many more duplicates listed in itunes than the discrepancy in the song count would suggest... 3,835 more songs to be exact.
I've tried to select only checked songs and get the same results.  I've tried to restore the iPod and I get the same results.  I've tried clearing the library completely and reloading all songs and I still get the same results.  I've scanned through the library and all songs appear to have compatible settings.   All my songs are either mp3 or m4a(aac) formats.  I don't use playlists at all.
If anyone knows of a solution, please let me know.  I don't want to have to check every single file.
    Thanks!

So that you know, for the future, Apple makes it very clear (specifically so, when you submit Feedback) that they do not respond to the feedback directly. They do however, read the feedback and consider suggestions for improvements to iPods. They also look for - and act upon - bug reports etc. That's what the Feedback is for.
They also make it clear that they do not monitor or respond to these discussions. (That said, Apple employees are free to - and do look at - some of the posts and have been known to contact posters directly when looking for further information regarding bugs.)
As you have now found, this community (as Apple now prefers to call it) can often help sort out your problems, espcecially when skilled users such as tt2 (aka Steve) are let loose!

  • Not all songs downloaded - help!

I recently upgraded from a 2Gb nano to a 8Gb (red) nano. Everything works fine except not all songs have downloaded. I have tried some of the bewildering suggestions but still have the problem. I have the latest version of itunes loaded. Anyone able to help

I have solved the problem myself!
The songs were all downloaded but did not show up. The reason was that if there are a few songs by the same artist and the details of album are only entered for some of the songs the others do not appear under that artists name. If you look under 'Songs' all songs are there. Strange but true!!

  • Home sharing iMac and MacBook Pro: not all songs are playable

    Hello
I set up Home Sharing between my iMac and MacBook Pro so that I could stream the music that's on the iMac to the MacBook Pro. On the MBP there are no songs, all of them are in Apple Lossless format on my iMac. I first tried to use "‘share my library on my local network" but because I wanted the play count to go up as well I chose for "Home Sharing". Setting up was simple. After all preferences were adjusted, I opened iTunes on the MBP and it immediately found the shared iMac library. There's now only one problem: not all songs are playable. Some don't even start. How is this possible and what do I need to do to resolve this?
FYI: the iMac is connected via ethernet to my cable modem which sends a wireless Wi-Fi signal to the MBP. Signal quality is excellent.
Also, is it possible that playcount is only available with Home Sharing and not with "share my library on my local network"?
    Thanks!

It very well could be the antivirus app, most are intrusive and debilitate rather than enhance performance and should be removed using the developers instructions. You haven't really told us anything useful such as any settting you may have changed. However if you began working backwards resetting any changes and uninstalling the apps added since the performance issue started then you probably will find your issue.

I successfully transferred my itunes to another PC, when I click on most (not all) songs, it tells me to authorize the computer, I authorize it, it says this computer is already authorized, but when i click on a song, it tells me to authorize again. help

Are the songs authorised to the same account?
Often people change their e-mail address over time, and also decide to set up new iTunes account names using that e-mail.  You can (and should) continue to use an old e-mail address as your account name.  Then you don't run into the issue of having different songs authorised to different accounts.
To check the authorised account for the song, click "Get info" on the song name in iTunes.  It will show the account name in the Summary panel.
If you have set up multiple accounts, log into each one, and burn the songs to CD as audio tracks (i.e. like a normal CD, not a data CD).  You can then re-import the files into iTunes without the authorisation embedded into the song.

  • On a Contacts search, not all contacts appear

    Hi
    I have iphone 5, ios7.
Seemms very odd recently, not using groups - all contacts are displayed. But when I use the 'search' in the Contacts App, not all contacts appear. Dispite the fact that if I scroll through manually, I can see and access the very contact I was searching for. This applies to quite a few contacts without any apparent consistent link between the tricky ones.
    Any ideas folks?
    Many thanks

Thanks for the quick reply :)
The search doesn't work even if I put in a name exactly as its listed. It used to be for example if I typed 'A' then all the names starting with 'A' would list but now I get nothing.

  • Sometimes i copy CD to the i TUNES, but not all songs. I have an iMac

Sometimes i copy CD to the iTunes but often not all songs..why??

iTunes only allows you to transfer songs from an iPod if they were purchased in the iTunes Store.
As they were transferred from a CD, you have to use an application like Senuti > http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/ It will transfer the music from an iPod to iTunes

  • Not all songs tranfer to my ipod appear on each artist tag

I have this problem, when I tranfer music to my ipod there is no problem all the music transfers, but when i go into the artist folder and I search for an artist and i selected the artist to see wich song i have i realized that not all the songs of that artist are shown there, even they have been transfered to the ipod, because if i look for the song manually its there.
for example I copied all the black eyed peas music i have but when i go into the balck eyed peas tag in artists only appear to me the monkey bussienes album even i have other songs of them, so i look for them in the songs tag and they appear

  • Just upgraded to 2.2.1 and not all songs play

On my iPod Touch, I just finally upgraded the software from 1.x to 2.2.1. Now, only a few songs will play. Others appear to play but there's no sound. Odd thing is, it's like my last 3 or 4 purchases that play (some songs and one album--going back about a month) but older purchases do not play (only have purchased music, no imported CDs on the iPod).
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not really sure what to do. Am going to synch it to remove all songs then re-synch them back on, but didn't know if there was a better solution.
It seems like I'm reading that 2.2.1 is a little buggy, I'm wondering if I will run into other problems as well.

I would simply restart the touch and, if that didn't do it, a reset.
Restart: Hold the Sleep/Wake button down until you see the red slider and turn the touch off. To restart it, hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the Apple logo and then let go.
Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down together for about 10 seconds. When you see the Apple logo again, let go.
FYI - 2.2.1 was a minor update to fix a few little things. It is only buggy in some people's hands. Most of us have experienced no problems.

  • Not all loops appear in loop browser... even after I reindex.  Please help.

I've just spent the past couple of hours trying to reindex my loops so that they all show in the browser... to no avail. Which is to say, they will show, if you know how to find them. Let me explain:
I have Jam Pack Promos 2, 3, and 4. These loops begin with following prefixes respectively: "2- ", "3- ", and "SO".
If I select "Show All" in the Loops Browser, it does not show any of the loops that I have mentioned. However, if I search in the keyword search bar with any of the prefixes, it will show me these loops.
Now, I have already turned OFF the keyword browsing option in preferences. I've reindexed innumerable times. I don't know what else to do.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
Finally, thank you, Apple, for a great (and affordable) product. Just one request for the next time around: please locate the loops in one directory on my hard drive... and not four!

    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=787415
I experienced this same issue trying to help another user. I had never launched GarageBand on my new MacBook Pro which came with it preloaded. I used the "delete the indexes and re-add them" method but at first glance it appears nothing is there. I misunderstood the GarageBand interface because I selected show all from the loop choices yet nothing appeared. It turns out the buttons with loops became available but still none were selected. By selecting a button like "All Drums" or "Rock/Blues" I could then see all the loops in those genres. By clicking the view selector at the lower left and changing to column view it gave another way to find them by Finder structure too. Hope that helps!
