Not allowing block or delete of Customer record via tcode VD02/XD02

Hi All,
I want to check on the process of NOT allowing block or delete of a customer record thru tcode VD02/XD02. From a business point, we would like to only use VD05/XD05 to block a customer record and VD06 to mark for deletion. This will allow users to create/change the record using VD02/XD02 and different set of users to have control block/delete.
Any inputs are appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
You will have to discuss this with your Basis team and check if there is any authorization object for that particular functionality in the Transaction.
As far as i know i dont think it is possible, you can only restrict the users from using particular transactions but not from using a particular functinality in a transaction.
The best option is to assign alll the Master Data related responsibility to a limited and resposible group of users or discuss with your technical team if they can do some restricting.

When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Every time I try to delete an email it changes to "undelete" it will not allow me to delete an email in my inbox

I received an email which I have tried numerous times to delete. When I puch the delete tab it reverts to "Undelete" I then click on that to set it back to delete and it repeats the process not allowing me to delete this email. I can delete all others in my inbox except this particular email. How can I solve this problem?

hi SG,
first and foremost thing while using field exit is, ask your basis person to include the parameter abap/fieldexit = Y in your instance profile.
Otherwise u can't use the field exits.

          No Help . ..   so far, .. as a Apple user   since   1996 ..    I have Never experieanced such frustration    ???

Deleting a customer record

Dear Xperts,
Can any one let me know, whether we can delete a customer master?
I have duplicated a customer code using the T. Code XD01, by mistake but now i want that to delete from system, how do i do it ?
I dont want to re-name.

Hello,
You may set a deletion flag in the customer master record using VD06 / XD06.
If you want to delete a customer master data permenantly from the system, you need to think of archiving. It is not so simple in live system. You need to delete every single document, data which references that customer like invoices, orders, financial documents etc... If you don't do this, then your system will be inconsistent and will cause you problems if you try and view any documents which are linked to that customer .

I have a column of check box which is placed in a multirow block. This block's INSERT_ALLOWED property is set to false. The column of check box is not a database item and its insert_allowed property is to true. Now I use the following code which is in when-button-pressed trigger to control checking/unchecking all the check boxes:

It gives me 'FRM-41051 Cannot create records here' error, and it goes into an infinite loop. It looks like it never reaches the last record where the block actually contains two records.

It sounds like your block does not have a field where the cursor focus can go when looping through the records. Create a dummy non-db field in the block which is enabled and has insert/update allowed. see if it then works. If it does then you can shrink the field down to 1x1 pixels with no border so the user cannot ever click on it and it's invisible.

My friends iphone 5 will not allow them to change their custom voicemail greeting

My friend has his iphone 5 (Verizon) updated to 7.0.3 and is unable to change his voicemail greeting.
When he tries to record a new one and then hits stop, it doesn't actually record it, because he hits play and it plays back the old one.
We've tried these below without any success:
-Switching the greeting to default and then back to custom
-Doing a hard reset of the phone (holding power and home button simultaneously)
-We've tried to dial *86, but when we call we get "Could not complete your call, please try again"
-We've also tried the following steps below (from Verizon)

hahaha he really is my friend (he's an older guy that's technologically inept). I'm tech-savy (hence why he asked me), but I was unable to get this working. Thanks for the advice, I've told him to go into a Verizon store.

my iphone 5s will not let me delete emails, it will only allow me to select an email and move it to trash. the slide method ask more/trash, when selecting trash the message disappears but once you leave email and come back the message reloads. Also I cannot mass select multiple emails for delete. I can trash them only 1 at a time.

I cannot select multiple mails any more to delete them on my ipad 2. I've only noticed it since upgrading to 7.04 but cannot be sure that the iOS upgrade is the cause of it.

HT5767 My mail all of a sudden would not allow me to delete messages in my inbox saying, "couldn't be copied to "Messages" because an item with the same name already exists." Found it duplicates the message I wanted deleted in trash.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.

Not certain, but this can fix myriad problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
In finder, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes".
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1, and reboot.

You can uninstall the relevant extensions from Tools>Addons to remove those toolbars. Also there may be some unwanted plugins which you may want to disable. This should solve your problems.
If you still want a clean profile, uninstall firefox with the "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations" checkbox enabled. Alternatively you may remove your firefox profile folder which (on Window7) is stored in C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles folder with a randomly name. You may delete this folder before installing a new version to get a clean profile.
