Not authorized to synch error

When I try to synch my Ipod nano, I get an error "The ipod cannot be synched.  You do not have enough access priviledges for this operation"  It does not appear that there is any additional itunes accounts on my computer.  Is there a way that I can change the access privileges on this account so I can synch my ipod?  I'm really not sure what to do.  Any suggestions?

Open up a Windows Explorer window by clicking the Start Menu and selecting Computer.  Then navigate to your Music folder and make sure that this folder and all subfolders are not marked as read only.  To check, right->click on the folder and select Properties.

  • "Function not authorized for License" error

    Hi All,
I am getting "Function not authorized for License" error when i am retrieving details from a custom UI Map.
The UI Map invokes a Business Service which calls a service program.
I have written a page service for the service program.
What License is this error indicating?
I am using CCB 2.3.1 and Eclipse SDK 2.2.0.5.

Check Admin Menu -> Installation Options Framework -> Accessible Modules to see if any module is turned off.
Next go to Admin Menu -> Feature Configuration -> Feature Type = Module Configuration and remove an entry of a module which is turned off.
    Try the UI Map again

  • Error Message..Not Authorized to Synch music??

I recently bought an ipod and bought a few tunes, which I tried to synch to my ipod. When I try to do this I recieve the following error message:
"Some of the items in the itunes library were not copied to the ipod because you are not authorized to play them on this computer"
and that is for ALL the songs. Luckily I only bought 3...I have also created a library on my laptop (with the song of the week freebie) and there was no problem overriding and resynching with thisone. While it may be simple to say I should just use mylaptop, I would really much rather use my desktop...
any one have this issues before or have any suggestions?
    Thank you

This just happened to me yesterday. I had purchased an audio book from Itunes then received an error message when I synched that I was not authorized to play it on "this" computer. I clicked on the "Purchased" tab on the left side of Itunes display and the book I just ordered appeared in the main window. When I clicked on the book title itself a message appeared saying that I could authorize up to 5 computers to play the purchased selections, then requested a logon (the same logon I used for Itunes). Completing the logon and password authorized this PC. After this process my Iphone synched just fine. Hope this helps.

  • File to File - "Not authorized to file" Problem

    Hi
I have configured a communication channel to pick a file form R/3 system.  We have created an FTP user for this.  We are getting "Not authorized to file" error in adapter monitoring.  I came to know that the FTP user needs R3OWNER authority.  Does the FTP user really needs the R3OWNER authority or is there any other way to pick the file from the R/3 system ?
    Regards,
    Sreenivas Nettem

    Nettem,
If the client has no problem within the organisation to share the files then we will go for NFS. If you send the files outside your organisation then we will do the FTP. NFS is nothing but network file sharing.
Sometimes even with in the organisation also client dont want to give file sharing. Then you will go for FTP. Hope this gives you some idea on these two.

  • Bought iTunes by iPod won't synch b/c "you are not authorized to play it.."

I bought iTunes using my daughter's computer and am trying to synch those songs to her iPod. The songs show up as "purchased" and they show in the Music library. When I synch her iPod, all of the songs I bought are not copied and each song shows an error status "You are not authorized to play it on this computer."
What is the problem? HELP and THANK YOU in advance!!

How do you do this? I just got this and I don't know how to fix it. It's never happened to me before. What do you do to authorize it. Where do you go?

  • Watch ESPN - User not authorized error

I'm a U-200 subscriber, I get all of the ESPN channels on u-verse.  I recently moved to Kansas City from Chicago, and since the move I haven't been able to access Watch ESPN online.  I've tried from my laptop, phone and two different tablets.  I just get the User Not Authorized error.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  I don't have time to spend an hour on hold waiting for tech support.

I'm a U-200 subscriber, I get all of the ESPN channels on u-verse, and also BTN, NBCSN, etc..  I recently upgraded from Internet U-verse only to U-200 and Internet, switching from DirecTV.  Unfortunately, when I try to use TV network apps on my iPhone and iPad (like ABC, Watch ESPN, NBC Sports Live Extra, Fox, BTN2Go, etc), after selecting ATT  U-verse as my participating TV provider and entering my U-verse credentials, I just get the User Not Authorized error from every single app.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  I don't have time to spend an hour on hold waiting for tech support, and I am about to switch back to another provider after only three days with U-verse. Examples of errors: NBC Sports Live Extra: "We're Sorry it looks like you're not a subscriber to this channel. Please contact you're provider."ABC: "Error code:400-1. Unfortunately, you cannot access this content. Please contact your TV provider for further assistance."BTN2Go: "User is not authroized to this content."Watch ESPN: "Unable to play video. You are not authorized to play this content. Please contact your provider." Can someone please help??? Talked with two techs who have basically thrown up their hands saying they cannot help. Update on 6/9: So I sent a PM to ATTU-verseCare and quickly got a response from SadathCS. He called me and noticed that when I upgraded from Internet Only Uverse, the database they use to authenticate TV subs on these apps was not properly synched after my upgrade to the TV/Internet account bundle.  He forced the sync and it is now working. Thanks SadathCS! issue solved.

  • Itunes wont sync error message this computer is not authorized

itunes will not sync my purchased songs to my new ipod touch, i get an error message that says, "some of the songs purchased cannot be transferred, this computer is not authorized, go to store, then authorize this computer."   I have done this over and over again, I have even deauthorized and then RE authorized again and again, I still get the same message. Can someone please please please HELP ME?

I have been renting movies on my MBP and a previous MBP for years, and have always been able to transfer the rentals to an iPhone.  I always rent on the MBP and not the iPhone.  However due to a NEW authorisation problem recently I have not been able to play these movies through the Apple TV (V2) like I have been doing.  Others on the Internet have also started having this problem.  I have to resort to airplaying the movie from the MBP over to the Apple TV, which is a royal pain.  What's the point of having all this gear in the family room when I have to get up and go to the office and start the movie playing from there?!  Anyway, also recently I have not been able to move rented movies to the iPhone.  I have tried recursively chmodding the Shared folder as described here
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1277
    and it didn't help.
So now, if we go on a long road trip or flight, we can't bring the rented movies on an iPhone/iPad.  This is a big problem.  No I am not going to bring the laptop on the trip.  The iTunes library is on an external disk on the LAN anyway.
Re the country comments, I'm in Canada.

  • Error message:  Cannot sync songs purchased in iTunes to iTouch because computer is not authorized.  I go in and authorize computer (only computer I have ever used for iTunes), seems to be successful.  Then I try to sync again and it gives same error mesg

It just goes in a circle.  This computer not authorized to sync purchased songs to iTouch.  Follow directions to authorize computer, seems successful.  Sync again and it comes up with the same error message....this computer not authorized to sync iTune purchases to iTouch.  I have deauthorized the computer and reauthorized and it didn't make a difference.  I updated and restored to factory settings.  Still same error message.  I have had this problem the last 2 times I have synced.  Worked previously.  Any ideas??

additional info:  I looked into similar complaints.  1 suggested that something is wrong with the files.  Delete them off of computer and divice (but they are not on my divice anymore) and then download them again from iTunes purchase history.  Went in to check iTunes purchases to make sure the songs would be there if I did follow these steps.  Well, NONE of them are in my purchase history.....probably the real problem here.  I had an original iPod Nano and then upgraded to my current iTouch.....same computer for both.  Could there have been a problem at the point of switching over to the iTouch?  That doesn't make sence to me because it is through iTunes and it was the same account for both.  I thought I'd be smart and put all the songs in a playlist and burn to a CD and them load them back in that way.....but I was not authorized to burn to a CD....go figure.  Any idease would be great!!

  • My apple tv it is not authorized to play a movie that I received as a gift from the itunes store. It plays on my G5 but after downloading to apple tv, when I try to play the movie,  i get an error message that says the apple tv not authorized to play it

When I try to play a movie I downloaded from iTunes on my apple tv, the error message I get says the apple tv is not authorized to play the movie. I reauthorized the computer to be sure it is authorized ( as per Apple advice).

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If this is the Apple TV 1, this is a new issue which started with any new protected content purchased after October 28.
You could de/re authorise your computer, disconnect and reconnect the library and resync your content, alternatively purchasing content directly from the Apple TV also appears to resolve the problem.

  • Not Authorized for this computer - error message

Anyone know how to fix this
"The application 'Evernote' was not installed on your iPhone 'Mike's iPhone' because you are not authorised for it on this computer."
    Evernote is a free app
My iPhone is, and always has been registered to my iMac, which is not giving me the error message. All the other apps are OK?
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks

    Salut!
I have seen similar messages pretty much all the time. The only thing that helps is activating the computer before starting to sync the iphone.
The really annoying thing is, if I don't do that, iTunes will randomly decide that some apps are not authorized and will happily uninstall them.
I wonder what's going on there
    cheers

  • Error while creating user - not authorized to assign profiles or roles

I have configured CUA according to the help.sap.com instructions.  I am getting this error (in TCODE SCUL)..
+You are not authorized to assign profiles
    Message no. 01589
You are not authorized to assign profiles to users or to cancel the authorization.+
I can create the user, change the address data, and initial password.
I get errors on assigning to a group, parameters, or the role and profiles.
We are on NW Mobile 7.1 (ABAP stack only) SP05.
I've read Note "492589 - CUA:  Minimum authorizations for communications users."
It mentions SP07.  Is this not compatible?

    > Run SU53 (immediately after you receive the error message) and check which authorizations that failed. You probably miss S_USER_PRO with activity 01 or 02 from your own roles.
I think that will not work in his situation. The errors show up in SCUL so they may come from one or more of the CUA children. Running SU53 in the CUA master will (if that is the case) not provide the necessary info.

    Hay,
are you using the same Database user for both SQL Editor and XSJS ?
    try the following.
Before executing the query , display it and copy the same from browser and execute in SQL editor.
Put the statement in  a try catch block and analyse the exception .
